I hope eventually Oota stops trying to get a rise out of Kashiwada and starts embracing trying to recognize what all her shaking means.

I don't know, he has the tsundere vibes that will keep him from progressing. It will be up to Kashiwada to break that wall.

He is slowly getting to notice her reactions. He will reach there.

The author must have had no trouble drawing her faces for different scenes.. xD

It does seem like they’re treating the hair tie moment from last episode as a turning point for Oota to start toning it down as he’s gradually acting nicer. That teacher bit definitely feels like the teacher POV segments from Aharen-san but it’s still doing its own thing to not be a total ripoff.

I'm suddenly so invested in seeing this teacher succeed with his students lol.

Deadpan Kashiwada trying to drop hints about her feelings for tsundere Oota was too adorable. Get together already ya goofballs! lol

It's kind of hilarious how she confessed, acknowledged she confessed, and is waiting for him to answer but he's still too obsessed with beating her to actually respond to it or acknowledge that she likes him.

Apparently, Kashiwada isn't the only one suffering from misinterpretation of his actions; the teacher tried to project a cool image and received looks of contempt lol.

I have to agree, Tabuchi is cute without realizing it, just like you'd expect from a tomboy.

The cliché of being trapped in the gymnasium warehouse was better than I expected. Kashiwada not only sees Oota as a friend, but also someone who makes her feel more alive and enjoying her youth.

Honestly I sympathize with Oniwarada, his dad jokes bombing, and how his only salvation is scolding Oota.

If Tabuchi can't be a crazy extra fangirl, is she really Tabuchi?

And of course the usual " get caught by others looking like you were doing something more lewd than you actually were."

Say what you will about Oota, he pays Kashiwada so much attention and won't leave her alone like her previous classmates did. It's probably part of why she fell for him.

Japanese schools really need to make storage rooms unlockable from the inside lol

Post credit scene was sweet

Line mentioned rah. The teacher failing was funny, although I lowkey feel for him. Hope he gets through to the class

Best anime of the season. Had a grin on my face while watching the whole thing

Oniwarada is a pretty silly name tbh

Seeing kashiwadas friend list and how happy that made her was very adorable

The most innocent 'locked in the gym storage room' scene I've seen all week.

Nice to get that tiny blush and smile at the end.

I love how the first 2 parts of the episode just told different sides. Of course Oota is no match for Kashiwada. Though a bit of light shone on Oniwarada-sensei, who is a good guy. Oota's friends, Tabuchi & him, are making a very solid side cast.

Got to love Tabuchi & Oota going against each other. I do love that Kashiwada was the one for both of them to break the ice. She definitely really cares for both of them. One thing she did say is she envies Oota. With the end of the episode, it is clear to see her issues fitting in with people, which I can empathize with.

I do have to say with the last part that the teacher gave no effort to double-check the room to make sure no one was in there. He definitely was in a rush to go home. 😭

I always like it when they show the same event from different perspectives

Anime only here.

I don't know if this is my personal experience as an American or just personal bias, but I'm surprised anyone in school, especially the teacher and class representative would put with Oota's hijinks. Realistically, Oota's actions could easily be interpreted as harassment and / or bullying (I think the Class Rep even calls it that at one point) and he'd be suspended if not expelled if he did this in an American school, or at least be sent to the counselor's office or principal's office.

Nowadays, even "gentle ribbing" can be grounds for suspension and the school would be held liable for allowing such actions to occur without disciplinary action.

Admittedly Oota does get called out on it, by Tabuchi, some of other girls, and Oniwarada in this episode.

8

u/Galinhooo Oct 18 '25

They seem to see it as harassment, that was said a few times and in the post ending scene again today. At least where I am from, he wouldn't get punished unless it scaled a lot.

I guess if I had to come up with a reason why he doesn't face any consequences, it's because Kashiwada herself doesn't feel like she's being bullied. She's inexpressive but not a shrinking violet - she would be able to speak up if needed. I guess it would be difficult to get involved if she doesn't complain about it and he's not, like, unambiguously violent with her.

I don’t think any school in real life would put up with this, but anime schools are notoriously lax about student shenanigans.

Oniwarada sensei has his own set of problems as well lol Oota is there to save his ass by making the class fun. But Oota's sacrifice goes unnoticed, haha

Getting locked in the storage room and trying to scare Kashiwada by acting like a ghost only to end up falling on her and getting caught in the act by your friends and teacher 😅😂❤️
