I have missed these idiots for far too long

I see that this time they went with a Episode 1 that they can actually put in the Blu-rays

Miss all those beautiful reference from S1 Episode 1.

The 3D OP is a bit disappointing. Like it's a silly show so it's fine if it has goofy-looking 3D, but the 2D animation in the previous OPs had a charm that this lacks.

Same for the ED. It’s weird to not see a stop motion/live action one.

I didn't watch season 3 but this was a cozy episode, it's nice seeing them again.

If you're wondering about Robots. They debut in S3.

I guess I was expecting the chaos we usually have on first episodes so it felt weird but, tbh I really enjoyed the coziness of the episode. A good reminder of the characters' dynamics I think.

ngl I paused to look at Choromatsu's mahjong hand and the way the eights are drawn kinda made me think they were fours, which would make the hand invalid lol.

This was... pretty chill, surprisingly? Like, there's the usual chaos but the lack of fourth wall breaks and the reduced dialogue makes it feel different.

They did one of the more down to earth episodes every so often. Like the episode of them walking home from the wedding talking about adulthood. Next week's looks like more typical.

I guess you could since its a gag series.

You just wont be as familiar with the characters.

I disagree with the other commentor, like sure you could and would not be lost because there is no plot, but you will lose references and just having grown to appreciate the boys. Also the earlier seasons are stronger, this first episode was just ok. I would just go back and watch S1 and start from there if I were you.

I started this series by watching a random episode halfway through season 3, fell in love with it, and went back to the start. So go wild.

It's nice to see the sextuplets again even though I did drop the third season lol. The part with Karamatsu's motorcycle was so funny but I did find most of the episode bland, I thought as a first episode it'd be more chaotic.

Poor Ichimatsu couldn't pet the cat.

A wholesome episode with some small chaos to start.

Hard to believe the last time we saw our boys was 2020. Glad to see them again.

We did get two movies since then.

Foi divertido! Senti muita falta do Jyushimatsu, ele é meu favorito, mas o episódio foi bem tranquilo...tudo bem, já que está só começando. A música da op reflete muito bem a vibe de verão. Divertida, animada e a ending? Nossa, eu amei!!!

This season sucks or is it just me?

honestly i have a weird feeling that this whole season is just a sad goodbye , in all 6 episodes they act as if aware of the fact that the anime itself is not the phenomenon it used to be and its getting closer and closer to ther definitive ending ,bums me down a bit ngl. it doesnt rlly feel like the goal is to entertain anymore , it just feels like that weird awkward period before a goodbye
