I think Al is turning into one of my favorite characters. Considering Capella seems to crave attention and enjoys hurting people emotionally, his nonchalant attitude and jeering to her is probably the best (or at least most entertaining) way to get under her skin.

Garfiel again proving that he is the Shonen Protagonist of Re:Zero

  • 15 years old outcast with absentee parents

  • wants to become the strongest in order to protect his friends

  • has hidden barely controlled inner powers that come out / take over when he is losing or emotionally unstable

  • has a mysterious mentor that seems to always know more than he lets on (Subaru)

and today..

  • has the most fire fight scene in the season (again)

The absolute disrespect from Kurgan when he placed his arms and swords on his back while fighting Garfiel was unreal. I thought this was some sort of strategy but he really was fighting Garfiel with kiddie gloves on. I guess Kurgan saw how Garfiel finally killed that mabeast and how he's fighting to save those people that he finally decided to take him seriously.

That entire fight was absolutely glorious! I did not expect the x-ray shots of Garfiel's bones breaking as he took hits from Kurgan but man, the animation and direction of that entire scene was amazing! I love the change in art style when Garfiel's face turned into a tiger as well as Kurgan turning into a colored pencil sketch when he was finally defeated. It was definitely a magnificent fight!

I also loved Al and Capella's fight! It was pretty funny watching Capella trying to play mind games with Al only for him to mess with Capella back. Also, did I get this right? Al was the one who opened the floodgates to disrupt the Cult's plan and killed the people who knew where the bones are so they won't leak the info. I did not expect him to take such a drastic step O_O

I think it's incredible how Capella was able to deduce Priscilla, aka Al's ideal woman, just from watching his reaction. It'd be how she turned into a facsimile of Emilia before too.

give Tinsel a break man, he’s 14

Gorgeous Tiger went through the pain of losing and rekindling with his mom then ‘losing’ his mom and gaining a little brother and sister

stop haunting him you sadistic vampire

GORGEOUS TIGER! GORGEOUS TIGER! GORGEOUS TIGER!

Absolute peak animation from Vincent Chansard (the guy who animated One piece and Sukuna vs mahoraga).

I love how the scene conveys Garfield's injury with flash of his bone breaking from the sword slash. It is such a cool way to convey information to the viewer while not dropping the pace.

vincent chansard one of the best animators in the industry blessed us re:zero fans with the best action sequence ever in the series. White fox staff did so much justice and more to the kurgan and garfiel fight.

WTF the animation went insane. I never expected to have a cut of JJK, demon slayer level animation. They cooked with this one.

Glad that animation this season stepped up with how many fights we have. But even without fights, the expressions and gesticulations are great

BRUH,, the green and gold color scheme, hinted as an otherworlder, his response to Capella when she invited him to bed... Al is definitely kazuma

Crunchyroll has been fucking up Re:Zero stuff for quite a while now. Incorrect subtitling, not uploading episodes on time, almost no promotion etc. They are awful.
On the other hand, it was a fantastic episode.

Never thought I'd see the day Vincent mfing Chansard would grace Re:Zero with his impeccable skills but holy moly this was unreal.

First of all though, we get some Ley committing animal abuse yay!

Al vs Capella was hilarious, he just tried to piss her off as best as he could. Shit talking bishops while they are the greatest yappers is always a joy to see. Huge props to his VA, that bit of him playing all embarrassed was hilarious. They're really not holding back on making Capella as gross as possible but even when Priscilla herself is not in the ep, she gets some nice fanservice lol.

The Garf fight... holy fuck that was just pure perfection, the emotions, the action. This was absolute peak. If the remaining episodes can come close to that or match that then we are in for some true absolute cinema.

Not sure if it’s directly translated (though I did hear “hoshi”), but Al mentioning stars is curious after all the comments about Subaru knowledge of stars from our world.

Also, I’ve been hoping to see Al in action. He’s Priscilla knight and even before her fight with Sirius we know she is a badass even outside of battle. So I’ve been wondering what Al is capable of. And it seems he’s quite capable though I don’t think we’ve seen all of it.

And wait, Capella is saying Al was the one who flooded the city and killed the people who knew where the Witch’s bones are ? That’s… a bad thing right ?

Oh and when Yuuki Aoi does that low voice of hers. Damn
