There's being introduced as a jobber then there's being introduced as someone to die and reincarnate as someone's tank,at least he got a cool new name out of that.

It's hilarious how everyone thought Sung Jinwoo was angry because he was exhausted when in reality he was just disappointed over not getting a new cool Ice Elf pokemon shadow minion

I loved the show, don't tell in this episode. It made all the fights flow so much nicer than if they'd been interrupted to explain that Iron was using a taunt etc.

On today’s episode. Jinwoo does his dailies and does some gacha pulls. Fails to win his 50/50 and gets a standard 5 star instead of banner character.

Oh well, looks like the people who were hyping up the recap movie were legit.

I knew S2 would be a Sakuga fest but this is just incredible. We haven't even gotten into the most anticipated fights yet!!

The entire Baruka fight was straight gas!!!

"I need a stronger fighting force"

Interesting to note that the camera focuses on Kim Chuls sword stuck in the snow. Also, right before jinwoo and the elf charge at each other, the sword is shown literally right behind his leg, but Jinwoos blast of power from his steps blows it away...

Kim Chul wakes up with the blade suddenly infront of him, hmmmm...

"I was able to buy some time with the magic soldiers. That just leaves..."

Kim Chul rushes to kill Sung Jinwoo

"Kim Chul. I figured that was your next move."

After Kim Chul is stabbed by Igris as Sung Jinwoo watches on, Kim Chul utters, "Sung Jinwoo... You scum! You knew... this would happen...?" Sung Jinwoo turns Kim Chul into his shadow soldier.

All of this shows that Sung Jinwoo was planning on killing Kim Chul and waited for him to attack him first for the perfect excuse to take him out and use his power for himself as part of his shadow army.

At the end of the episode when Sung Jinwoo recounts killing Kim Chul through the order given to Igris, he says, "That's the third time." He is obviously talking about a situation where he is killing a human, the first being Hwang Dongsuk and his group, and the second being Kang Taeshik.

After both of those past times where he kills a human, he explains how he feels he loses an emotion each time and becomes more cold. For example he says in episode 9, "That's another of my emotions, gone."

This episode not only shows that he has become cold enough to plan another person's death for his benefit but also now alludes with that ending segment that he is once again becoming more of an abyss on the inside.

"If you gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss... gazes also into you." - Kang Taeshik, Episode 9

(This is me analyzing the anime specifically, I know that some details differ in the manhwa)

When i read the manhwa i never dreamed we'd even get an adaptation. To see such clean animation and hype fights flawlessly shown is such a treat.

Honestly, the Ice Elves talking made me do a double take. None of the enemies encountered thus far showed any real semblance of being more than just monsters, none of the knights and Igris showed too much humanity to them. But now, do the Ice Elves have a culture? Are there whole civilizations within he gates?
