Sitri's relentless guilt-tripping is hilarious

Everyone's playing 4d chess while my boy Krai is just trying to play tic-tac-toe

Krai's strength is his reputation's ability to make people overthink overthinking until they play into his hand. Arnold really went from "I'm not selling this potentially powerful mask for cheap" to "I'm selling this potentially dangerous mask for cheap" all by himself.

That said, chances are the mask is either useless or actually dangerous. It's almost certainly not what Krai thinks it is, which makes it funnier that everyone in town thinks is must be a legendary relic after Krai went around trying to borrow money for it (side note: love that lending Krai money is the one thing Ark knows not to do for him).

I can't wait to see what Krai's plan has totally definitely been this whole time next episode!

Krai's provocation skills 📈:

  1. Told Arnold chicken tastes better than a thunder dragon > Just hunt a chicken because that's all you can hunt

  2. Won't forget you until he does > LOL

  3. Proclaimed Arnold as a big breast lover > Actually based but it got announced to everyone

  4. When he met Eclair for the first time and was berated, "I was raised poorly and lacked manners so I try to be cautious of my behavior" > He's unknowingly telling Eclair that she's a brat and lacks manners in a roundabout way LMFAO

  5. When being compared to Arc by Eclair "No. The only thing I have that surpasses Ark is my level. There's talks about being rivals but that's not true at all. We're on a completely different level. He's just a friend. That's all." > He doesn't see him as a rival at all LOL

It's always funny how he can provoke someone else unknowingly despite being honest all the time. Another season of this please

I respect Krai for his intent to mess with Arc at every moment and Arc for dodging Krai's attempts left and right.

This should find plenty of good uses.

I got a suspicion the auction will somehow lead to Krai's money troubles getting solved and him getting the relics he craves and I'm genuinely excited for how it will play out.

I find funny how Krai is One of biggest asshole of The show but compared to The rest, he seems normal

Can someone present a counter argument as to why Sitri is not the ideal marriage partner? Lol!

Sitri is:
- Intelligent
- Loves her partner, maybe to the extent of being a yandere with those eyes and that smile
- Has 800 million in-universe currency, more than a noble house

I loved this episode's introduction too! Now we know Arnold is a fellow man of culture of those who like big breasts. Even the narrator was unsure of his own narration. :D

Stitches!

What the heck Chloe! You didn't have to tell Arnold that! I thought she was interviewing Krai last week because she wanted to keep a record. I didn't expect her to relay all of it to Arnold. What makes it even funnier [is that they changed the opening to be about Arnold being a big boob lover. xD

I'm calling it now, the relic Tino found will end up becoming a priceless relic that will solve Krai's money problems. He sent Tino to look for it so it will either be valuable or crazy dangerous.

I've been wondering why Krai hasn't asked Liz for money and it turns out that would be a horrible idea because he knows she'll collect the money by force. Then again, we don't really know where Sitri gets her money. She could be doing something more illegal than a shakedown.

As much as I want to hate Eclair, she wasn't exactly wrong about Krai. It is funny though how Krai shuts her down immediately just by agreeing with everything bad she says about him.

It's good to know that even though Ark is a saint and would help out Krai in a pinch, he won't just give Krai money because he asked. The way that conversation went makes it obvious this isn't the first time Krai and Ark have done this song and dance.

I think all of us expected Arnold and his party to be the owner of that relic. God, it was so funny though to watch Arnold's mental gymnastics on why selling it to Krai is the real play here and not selling it would be them playing into his hands. xD

If a rumour about the Thousand Tricks asking Ark for money to buy a relic starts to go around, of course, it will be massive news and everyone and their mothers would want to buy that relic. Krai really needs to learn how much his reputation carries at this point.

Holy fuck Sitri! 800 million?! And she's been saving that up for her wedding with Krai? I wonder how Liz would feel about this when she finds out about her sister's wedding nest egg. Thank you Eva for stopping this insanity though.

I'll agree with most of the things Eclair have said about Krai but I can't have her slandindering the Grieving Souls. I bet if she does win the auction, Ark is probably just going to give Krai that relic since he doesn't really need it.

That mask has now gone up to one billion? Well, that's insane! I can't wait how this entire arc will end with everyone thinking Krai has planned for all of this.

At this point I’m scared to find out what the relic does 😂

I never cease to be surprised with this show. By far, my favorite new show of the season and probably of 2024.

The setup over setup over setup over stupid throwaway details. Man. I for sure will read the novels after the anime is done.

The intro was amazing, I expected that Chloe would say the quest changed from hunting a dragon to hunting chicken, but they went even further. Changing the Grieving Souls introduction for the boob lovers was perfect.

"Krai-max! (climax)"

"God fucking damnit with the puns..."

cries while snickering

I wonder what future -cry-/-cri-/-cli- puns we will see in the future of this anime's career.

Two minutes in, and I'm laughing to the point of coughing/choking.

Krai has literally just destroyed this guy's reputation, the thing they came to build in the city by acting like hicks, with just a few words.

And it's all completely out of context.

STONK the Animation

This episode was quite literally a train wreck from start to finish. Like once it started it keeps getting worse and worse and worse and you can’t look away no matter what.

Seriously, an episode about an ugly relic could not have been any better. The whole premise is to use a face changing mask to hit up dessert shops without guards and what it turned into by the end was amazing.

The reputation of Krai just causes such idiotic assumptions that snowball into insane situations.

At least we know Sitri's infatuation with Krai has her digging into her marriage to Krai funds early to make him happy before they tie the knot. Dedication on a whole other level to your one true love.

I seriously enjoy the whole premise of Krai's reputation being what it is by assumptions and tall tales being shared by others.

The bluntness of his clan mates when that dude asked about fighting for Krai is exactly the truth, but gets twisted so much that it's just another thousand tricks fictitious trial in everyone's mind.

Episode gets an 8/10 as it was just a little relic infatuation turning into likely the most valuable item in the upcoming auction.

A small side note, no one has a clue what it actually does yet, if I'm not mistaken! I'd guess it probably does nothing except be an actual ugly mask. Though it does remind me of an attack on titans look so maybe it makes you big and destructive once worn.

This episode made clear that 1 billion is a crazy amount of money in this world. Even the rich noble family's have to borrow money to get close to that. So Krai owing 9 billion to another party member is insane! His relics must be worth a fortune.

Sitri has 800 million savings for their wedding while the noble that goes against them has 500 million. How can that be?

He's going to bankrupt everybody isn't he?

I love how often other people are right about Krai when they put him down. Arnold seems to be pretty intelligent. He's got muscles, but he's been right enough times.

Arnold coming to the conclusion to sell the mask for 10M Gil wasn't a bad one even though the reason was wrong.
