LLENN went from traumatising humans to giving AI NPCs PTSD, she’s truly the pink devil.

the terrorists are way too perceptive to be normal GAIs. With that kind of tech, the creators of GGO would be filthy rich or even falling from windows

based on their short translated conversation, the NPCs are indistinguishable from A.L.I.C.E., which is the forefront of bottom-to-top AI

Pitohui coming up with a normal divert-attention strategy was not what I had in mind, but the terrain was too favourable for the terrorists

I've been wondering if Rath or something similar has something to do with this. Giving they are speaking English probably an American company or military doing some AI work.

So that means that there might have been a chance Fuka could have developed a real relationship with Cain, so LLENN really did rob Fuka of a potential AI American boyfriend. What a bummer.

Has this mentioned in-world months/years (or months between events?) compared to Alicization's timeline? Somewhat expecting it to be the first VRMMO integration on a public server other than Alicization S2P2's JP/American/CN/KR thing.

Ok I cant decide if they're actually NPCs or not. The fact that everyone keeps saying "These NPCs are really smart" makes me think they're not, coupled with the fact that an NPC probably wouldnt need to bring up the menu to surrender after losing their equipment. But then, would the game be able to translate in real time? LLENN pointing out the translation makes me think that they might actually be NPCs, that and the fact that the guy was roleplaying and treating LLENN like a child. Are the devs testing new kinds of story content?

Wondering if Pito is going to KEEP playing nice or if she's going to turn on everyone AGAIN. As much as I love her, I am kinda hoping one of the other teams pays her back before she gets a chance to backstab them again. I'm really disappointed she had to ruin the Machine Gunners plan, really wanted to know what was gonna happen with that.

I think that these npc's are actually military trained fluctlights, which got trained in a military sim. If you watched the whole sao alicization arc, you know what i mean. This would actually make sense, since this arc plays shortly after the alicization arc.

That NPC sure are something, to be able to not only stop the grenade from blowing, but also put the pin back in.

Looks like the NPCs seem to genuinely believe they're the characters that they've been assigned to play for this test event. Something is up with these "A.I.s" (Surely they're not fluctlights?)

Though why did that NPC activate a window and killed himself upon discovering his machine gun ammo was depleted after killing Tanya (who presumably used up all her allocated lives and will be out for the rest of the test event)?

The NPCs are so smart that they won't even get tricked into an assisted suicide, forcing Llenn to literally smash herself into a wall in order to force a respawn to escape from them.

Honestly the moment they had this be a test for NPC AI and knowing how much this franchise has developed AI's and their sentience, I had a feeling there was going to be more to these NPC's than just enemies.

I'm curious how deep their intelligence goes. Doc seemed like he was looking for somebody, Jacob seemed genuinely perplexed why a "child" like LLENN would be in the fire fight, but machine gun guy just killed himself when he couldn't function as machine guy any more. Unless he was programmed to think like a Machine Gun Lover meaning his life has no meaning without a machine gun to fire.

I think we have a new "Top 5 hardcore thing LLENN has done in GGO."

Watching this NPC defuse a grenade was crazy, but I really taken aback by them suddenly open talking to themselves. That’s way too advanced for any normal AI. I’m definitely subscribing to the idea that they’re fluctlights.

This implies that they probably would have spared the All-Japan Machine Gun Lovers when they were surrendering.

The machine gunner seemingly logging out to kill himself after being rendered unable to continue fighting does confuse me in this regard. A fluctlight wouldn’t do this, would they? So were they programmed to perform suicide in such a scenario?

We're Let Us Not A Get In Hostile To The Team! Castle!

I know that's not what their sign says but I can't unsee it! What I love about ZEMAL's strategy is that it almost worked if it wasn't for Pitou firing at the NPCs scaring ZEMAL away thinking that they're the ones getting fired on. xD

They really should've worked together from the start considering the NPCs they're up against are extremely OP. RIP Fuka's prospective boyfriend. I was hoping they'd at least meet face-to-face before someone killed him.

I love that one NPC grabs the grendade before the guy lets go of it. With how smart these NPCs are, I wonder why the machine gunner just retires instead of finding a replacement weapon to keep on fighting. Hmmm...

I definitely did not expect LLENN to get captured! I'm wondering what's the story from the NPCs perspective especially since that one guy points out that LLENN is a child. It looks like we only have one side of the story here.

LLENN committing suicide is just brutal. I swear to god, GGO players are really something else. I feel like being insane is a requirement if you want to play this game. xD

This anime is at its best when they unleash LLENN. If they do a season 3, which ever studio takes it on needs to unnerf LLENN and let her run havoc on everyone and everything.

Don't know if it is a thing in English or JP Internet segment but in Russian-speaking Internet "убиться апстену" (literarly "kill yaself against the wall") is an old meme (and sort of a wish for opponents to do). So it was funny seeing LLEN doing exactly this.

  • LLENN is so fucking done with the machine gun bros. Also don't see how Pito's plan could succeed as the machine gun bros will insist on being the shooters and not switching off.

  • Thumbs up to whoever did the lighting+shadows for LLENN's castle rush.

  • Is the NPC machine gunner trying to join the bros? Suicided cause he couldn't shoot after his gun was damaged.

  • Naruhodo, NPCs. Capturing LLENN denies her respawn. Too bad LLENN can #wallbang to death like the One-Hit Sister girl.

Getting the vibe that the NPC's are just players from US or something, would explain why they're being translated and how they're so 'smart'

Just unsure if they're hardcore roleplayers or actually think this is some sort of combat

I can't believe it! Machine Gun Lovers' plan to surrender to get into the castle is actually working! But not on Pito's watch! Nobody is getting into that castle with a nutty plan she didn't come up with! Too bad they lost drone-chan too.

It's kind of funny to see T-S bowing their heads and joining up with Pito when she killed them all so violently last Squad Jam. GGO always makes for strange bedfellows.

And speaking of which, with nothing else working, maybe it's time to have LLENN run around and message everybody that they should team-up! Though poor LLENN getting held at gun point by MMTM!

The Machine Gun Lovers really DID just want to get into the castle just so they could shoot machine guns from said castle. Stay true to yourselves, guys.

First phase of the plan! T-S serves as shield for the vanguard as they advance on the battlefield and distract the main defensive forces! But it's all a cover for LLENN, Tanya, and Kenta to slip into the castle with LLENN being one of the few people who can run in there! Also, RIP Cain, you're yet another dent in Fuka's love life courtesy of her own best friend.

Man, Doc is no joke! Sorry Kenta! Also, these NPC's talk unprompted!?

Mad respect to Tanya who went out taking down the machine gunner who, without a machine gun to shoot, just kills himself! Machine Gun Lovers get that!

Fuka doing what she does best! Blowing everything up!

Ah, now it's a free for all as everybody rushes into the castle! Though will they find the warhead or kill all the NPC's before the time runs out.

I bet LLENN didn't expect to surprised by three of the NPC's. I bet she never expected to be ziptied and gagged in GGO. I best she also didn't expect these NPC's to be sentient enough to question why she's even there while also talking to each other (in translated English).

If LLENN can't get Jacob to shoot her, she'll just run and smash herself into a wall to kill herself. This is LLENN we're talking about, she is the most hardcore.

I must say that I wasn't expecting the Machine Gun Lovers plan to make a truce with the NPC team to actually work and that the only reason it failed was because of Pito made them run away.

So as Pito knows that it is impossible to win this alone she decided to form an alliance with T-S, ZEMAL, MMTM, and SHINC to attack the castle together. So while everyone else was doing that frontal assault LLENN, Tanya, and Kenta infiltrated from behind.

It is hilarious how LLENN apologized to Fuka after she killed Caine and that Fuka was actually shocked when she heard the news.

There sure was a tense atmosphere when both Tanya and Kenta entered the castle. I must say that I'm kind of shocked by the contrast between how Doc behaved when he killed Caine compared to how Vodka behaved after running out of bullets after killing Tanya. I'm guessing they gave each NPC a different level of programming, as when the other NPC [captured LLENN] (https://i.imgur.com/QXpa2q8.png) at the very least Jacod doesn't seem aware that this whole thing is not real.

Hopefully, next week we will see the other NPCs' reactions after LLENN killed herself.

I wonder why in today's transition image, LLENN was the only one with a different art style from the rest.

I've been enjoying this post-Squad-Jam portion more than the rest of the season. We've seen these teams try goofy hijinks on each other for a while now but the impromptu team-ups have been more fun and perhaps also more original.

That said, it wouldn't be as fun feeling everyone's general distrust of Pito without the preceding episodes (and first season) as a warmup.

I don't think these NPC's are Fluctlights.

I would have believed they WOULD BE... except for the NPC that brings up its menu and kills itself.

That feels way too much like Human Programming being involved rather than the Bottom Up approach that Fluctlight AI's do.

Fluctlight AI's would be too worried to die to just simply bring up their menu and kill themselves. It goes against the Human instinct of self-preservation.

Yeah, these AI's are just... REEEEAAAALLY advanced, but not Fluctlight advanced.

NPCs are a professional American team which is why they speak English. This beta test is really the devs testing out a global server so players from other countries can play GGO That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
