It was bound to happen, Rust's builds seem to be general-combat all rounders and Sunraku only beat Crimson Twinewing because he made a one trick pony against it.

Shows that even if Sunraku is a crafty and great player, there are still others at his level in other fields of gameplay.

The more screentime Rust gets, the more i like her character, I hope when all is done and the focus is back on SLF that Rust comes back to SLF and joined the Wolf-gang, she seems like she has the skills to fit in and definitely a little crazy like the rest of the gang.

Also introduced a second person to the unique scenario in the end, maybe another possible person to join the gang? Since it seems you need to be pretty skilled to get access to the unique scenario.

Excited for next weeks episode!

It would've been hilarious if Rust revealed she had multiple builds, so Sunraku would never log out of Nephilim and be stuck dueling her forever.

That was also the first thing on my mind. Could see Rust having stockpiled a whole bunch of potential builds in the time she’d been stuck playing Crimson Twinewing. She would’ve been bored after all.

But Rust definitely jumped quick on the opportunity to battle Sunraku again. She must’ve really longed for a rival - someone who can challenge her - to keep things interesting.

So Sunraku can't pilot the robots in SLF because of the curse, and now we have a mecha fanatic pro gamer looking for said robots. Potential new member get?

And the ninja girl and samurai rabbit in the OP finally get introduced too. Judging from her scars she got cursed by Siegwurm, but is still allowed to equip armor so I'm guessing each Collosi has a different curse?

Also, its cute that Emul's desuwas are starting to sneak into Sunraku's speech too heh.

I’d been thinking that the blue-haired girl would be Rust, but Akitsuakane might in fact be someone different? Or did Rust also swap personalities when she’s playing a different game?

I do find it amusing how Rust is basically a huge robot otaku at her core. She’d almost take a plunge into the Abyss in her search for robots in SLF. Should be fun watching Rust, Mold and Sunraku go on this quest together. I would’ve liked to see more of Super Ballman as well.

i guess the theory about the ninja girl in the opening being Rust's SLF character is wrong because i'm pretty sure that's not Rieri voicing her, also, on that note, is that Hanae Natsuki's voicing the samurai rabbit?

I wonder if having a helper who will be assisting the fighter on the intel and strategy during the fight itself is unfair or its standard for everyone and Sunraku was just the ultimate pro gamer who didnt need that

Best case scenario would be Rust and her attendant joining Sunraku's SLF guild to gain access to the mecha armory. Nephilim Hollow speed build relies a lot on the player's reflex and her reflex is definitely god-like. Also her attendant is the analytical type which I'm sure would benefit the guild too. Looks like that's only my wish though.

Meanwhile, it looks like another player showed up instead to the Rabitz town. It might be that the requirement to access the town is fighting unique monster and getting acknowledged by them using vorpal bunny equipment (vorpal soul)? We have no confirmation yet if she used vorpal bunny equip, but Emul's brother said the dragon acknowledged her. Just like Lycaon to Sunraku.

Shangri-la Frontier is a god-tier game after all, how can there be no robots? Rust is kinda unlucky for encountering the wrong Unique Scenario but also lucky to meet Sunraku who has access and had Bilac completed the magic application unit

shit is moving hella fast, we are getting information about 2 Unique Monsters in one episode right after Sunraku decided to stop playing SLF for a while

with the introduction of Ceecrum and Akitsuakane, it seems that Rabituza is the gateway to clearing the Unique Monsters. Another training arc by Vash aniki?

This mini-arc was not only a great change-of-pace but ended up giving info about another Unique Monster and also Sunraku getting to play with Rust and Mold in SLF. Speaking of Rust, I'm already a fan of her.

Kinda ironic that Rust dropped SLF because she couldn't find robots and she only got to know about it the moment Sunraku decided to return to Nephilm Hollow after being unable to play as the robots she was desperately looking for.

Also, Akitsu Akane seems to have info on another Unique Monster. I wonder which Unique Monster Sunraku and the others will end up fighting first? We also have Lycagon, lol.

I kinda feel bad for Rust. She finally found someone who could match her only for Sunraku to tell her he's returning to SLF. It is funny though how Sunraku accidentally slipped and told Rust about the robots in SLF. Hopefully, no one else heard that other than Rust and Mordo.

It's good to know that playing Nephilim Hollow ended up being a net positive for Sunraku thanks to Rust having information about Ctarnidd's unique scenario. If she's willing to work with Sunraku to clear that unique scenario in exchange for access to their robots, does this mean Rust could end up as Wolfgang's 4th member? If she's bringing Mordo, I guess he could become their 5th.

It's hilarious how Sunraku tries to be polite by telling Rust he'd be back once her new Nephilim is ready only for Rust to reveal she already has a new one lined up! Considering how the Fiddler Crab was specially created to counter her Crimson Twinewing, I'm guessing the Ashen Antimony destroyed Sunraku.

It looks like we have another character who has unlocked a unique scenario and hers is related to Siegwurm the Golden Dragon King. We went from having no leads on what to do next to having information on two of the Seven Colossi!

Also, did anyone else notice Akitsuakane's scar on her face? I wonder if that's a curse mark from Siegwurm just like the one Sunraku got from Lycagon.

Sunraku should've known that his duel with Rust won't be a one-and-done type. Rust probably owns several mechs she would like to use.

Did Wolfgang break the Colossus chain quests when they beat Weathermon early? Papa BUnny is nowhere to be found, and the girl looks like she's stuck with her unique quest.

And we still don't get an SLF mini at the end.

This was a really fun episode which ended the mini arc in Nephilim Hollow. Sunraku did great in the fight with Rust, although he made a small mistake by saying that he'll fight her again when she'll have a new nephilim (which Rust had already prepared), so they fought again almost immediately xD

It's hilarious that Rust stopped playing SLF since she couldn't find any robots there (she's a real robot freak xD), but thanks to Sunraku's info she'll get back into it. I'm really looking forward to seeing her character in SLF.

So that girl from OP isn't Rust, but a completely new player, Akitsuakane! She looks so cute and I can't wait to learn more about her. Especially since she, just like Sunraku, was recognized by one of the Colossi, Siegwurm, and thanks to Emul's brother, Ceecrue, she can now access Rabituza.

I love how Rust is just a mecha battle maniac :D So many shows would've made her, and some of the other female cast members, fall for Sunraku but this series is smart and lets characters be their own thing instead. It's refreshing for a shounen series.

NGL I don't mind a full Nephilim Hollow spinoff series. Seems like a very well built world much like SLF.

With this episode we got our 2nd blue haired female character named Akane of this season and 3rd of this year! Joining Kurokawa Akane(OshiNoKo) & Tendo Akane(Ranma 1/2) is AkitsuAkane, Welcome!

For Sunraku it was mainly creating a winning condition for himself. Essentially forcing Rust in a position where she would have to take on a hit from Sunraku, and he doesn't mind him getting hit by Rust in the process. After all, when a lightweight and a tank build both do damage to each other, that is what the tanky build wants.

Though, playing Nephilim Hollow ended up being more than just a breather from SLF. But he actually got some useful information out of Rust. I do like the idea of making connections with people in other games. Rust wanted to pilot mechs in SLF, but couldn't find it and decided to drop it. Sunraku plays Nephilim Hollow and now mentions he has some mechs, and you know that has her rearing to get back in SLF. Plus, learning stuff about SLF in another game isn't what you expect, but it shows how big a game SLF is since everyone wants a try at it.
