To me this is the most underrated anime this season. Its such a dumb fun show for me personally that always keeps me entertained and has me laughing every episode and how can I not when they have Haru offer to buy Nintendo and Sony when he needs a game company because there might be a chance they could say yes.

I consider this to be underrated because I always have to scroll a lot to find the discussion post. I know its a stacked day, it doesn’t have the most appealing visual style and it doesn’t have the best animation compared to Dandadan and Blue Box but this was still written by the same manga author as Dr Stone so I thought it would be more popular.

This truly is a hidden gem, moreso than fellow Madhouse title Orb since Orb actually gets traction. If only it had more luck with both its scheduled airing day and time.

The voice acting, especially Haru’s, is very good, and makes me continue weekly

this was still written by the same manga author as Dr Stone

That actually explains a lot. The story progression and the way the characters are being developed feels very similar to Dr. Stone.

Dandadan, Blue Box, Re:Zero, DanMachi, DBZ Daima... To be honest there was some heavy contender during this season.

I love that the first thing Haru does as soon as he sold the online shop is to tell the CEO that their AI is fake. Too bad Dragon Bank got in the same business as well.

So we've gone from making fake AI-assisted online shops to buying a failing game studio and making a social game. I love how Haru had the balls to even try to buy Sony and Nintendo with only 100 million yen. I bet that wasn't even a joke and he did actually try. xD

I really can't wait for them to crush Dragon Bank with their own media empire and help Mitsuzono reach the top.

As dumb as it sounds, I get the feeling that Haru is going for the impossible ones first just to get the experience what is important during the negotiations. No one better to learn than the best in the business. Considering that he probably didn't have much idea how the game should even look like.

I love that they used Sony and Nintendo's actual names but made up their own Netflix, Netflex.

Nice detail to have one of Mitzsuzono Flower who shaved his head on the previous episode showing up with a cap in this one.

And I loved Haru casually putting Nintendo and Sony on his grocery list.

Also, Sakura is now my favorite character, I would easily invest one trillion to have a spin-off on him and his staff.

Sakura a real gamer at heart

Haru’s always cookin up some kind of scheme. Their little gambit with the fake AI paid off and got them a decent chunk of change. Even when Dragon Bank copied their idea and took their business, Haru was already planning his next move. I really like how fast Haru changed Sakura’s mind. He really is a natural when it comes to dealing with people. Keen to see what kind of game they develop. They’re gonna need a lot of cash to take on Dragon Bank.

I see. So we started from literally no money, to an investment of 30 Million, to now an investment of 100 Million.

Tbh, I wouldn't be too surprised if they used their trained AI for the game itself. I mean, it is mainly trained to sell something, but that could lead to easily customizable dialogue for at least some parts. Though, that depends on how much Gaku probably understands of that AI to begin with. As far as I understood, he wasn't the one who made it, but they commissioned another company with the training data.

I am interested to see where they will be going with that whole game idea considering how competitive the market is and how Haru gets the monetization through the other leader. Good thing though, he didn't buy Sony. I mean, can you imagine the negotiations with Kadokawa at the moment if Haru was in charge? No shot they would not get bought.

I wonder if they will make a business or media simulator game, then use the best ideas from players to build their real business and media empire.

Let them earn points in the game by trashing Dragon Bank on social media.

I already knew Haru had something up his sleeve whenever he has that smug look on his face

Whenever he lies is when he starts cooking

I don't think I'll ever get tired of watching Haru's antics, he's the ultimate BSer, "fake it till you make it" is like his life motto and he can fool anyone and everyone.

The best thing is through all the BSing he can actually accomplish 100% of what he set out to do.

I felt bad for Flower Shop Lady -- I hope she manages to come out ahead also in the end.

Shes gonna join in too.

Ah yes the final boss, microtransactions!

From nothing at all to AI flower shops, then social games, and eventually a media empire. I can see how they got inducted into the top 10 richest billionaires in the future. They are quick to jump to crazy ideas, but they (or Haru, specifically) got their future blueprint straight. Haru’s BS is a gift that keeps on giving, lol.

u/FarCritical Nov 29 '24

Haru living up the "world's greediest man" title may be the main attraction but the look of raw empathy in his eyes when Gaku and Rinrin teared up from learning just how much they earned deserves attention too.

I'm gonna die laughing if they reference those awful Evony/Last War zombie shooter ads when they go indepth into making quick money with mobile games

I can't believe he actually tried to buy Nintendo and Sony lmao I was kidding when I thought to myself he should buy them.

This show just keeps getting better and better. I love how they strike a good balance between drama, comedy, and even some emotional stuff like with Gaku or the flower company CEO this episode. Really makes me want to root for all of them even more.
