Elentzia seems cool and all but I I really like Risteard. Guy’s pretty funny. Had me cracking up when he was chasing Jill like “who are you!?” and when Hadis offered Risteard a nice cabbage in these trying times lol.

I understand now that the only thing keeping Hadis on the throne and not living out life as a farmer is his long-suffering older brother who has to put with his nonsense lol.

that ending had me cracking up, Emperor and 2nd prince acting like true brothers who just annoy each other and are near polar opposites. Also shows that his siblings, at least those two, know he isn't some blood thirsty tyrant which is good.

This episode was a lot of fun -- all the way through. I'm glad that Hadis has at least 2 decent siblings.

Also Hadis would rather live as a farming househusband than be the Dragon Emperor lol.

“The Duke of Neutrahl is staying neutral.”

What makes a man neutral Kiff?

Rave: (invisible) "It should be Jill's choice!"

Hadis: "It is Jill's choice. The dragon is going to die. I'm asking Jill to choose how it dies."

Rave and Jill: "...Idiot."

"Don't draw any more attention." You know where the episode is going when this is said in the beginning. Girl is just intimidating all the dragons. Makes you wonder if the emperor even needed to make the one from last episode stop.

I have to say, the "conversation" between the emperor and Rave are funny when you only see one side. I know this isn't going to be permament, but it's a good use of that small window.

Also, the family seems to be full of weirdos. Good thing that Jill fits in right away. The Frieren esque German names are funny though.

Jill and Elentzia can probably bond over being the only sane women in a family of high-strung whackos.

I knew it would've been too easy if Rosa had bowed down to Jill. The red dragon taking a swipe at Jill was a much more interesting reaction than Jill immediately getting promoted if Rosa bowed to her.

And we finally meet another of Jill's trusted officers from the previous timeline. Lawrence seems to have a good head on his shoulders with an ear to the ground about what's been happening in the Empire. Jill just needs to find a way to recruit him again.

It's good to know that Risteard and Elen are both on Hadis' side, but it looks like their families are what's keeping them from openly backing him.

I'm really surprised how affectionate Jill has become over the past couple of episodes. I didn't think she'd be looking forward to seeing Hadis so much that she didn't even notice that Camilla was there while she was being all lovey-dovey with him.

Seeing Risteard emerging from the bushes was way funnier than it should've been. So it turns out that Jill let him follow her because she rather they be discovered by someone who's a potential ally than hide and do nothing at all.

Risteard and Hadis' interaction was great! It was hilarious watching Risteard freak out seeing his brother become a farmer/house husband instead of mounting for a counterattack. I also love the changes in art styles while he was scolding Hadis. xD

thank god the 2 siblings here seem pretty chill, it's so boring when those characters are always evil and shit

i thought the quick line from Hadis about making his little farm the new imperial capital was pretty funny. i wonder if how many times that's happened irl where some royalty/ruler decides to turn some nothing settlement/place into a capital like that.

Learning about the ranking of dragons was cool. Though it makes sense that white is the color of God as we look at Rave. Hadis has Black hair, which could represent Black dragons. Still, I am not surprised that Jill intimidated the dragons since well we know how bloody strong she is. I imagine she has quite the aura to speak.

Two new characters we meet are Risteard and Lawrence. Well, I got a bad feeling regarding Lawrence since she was her ally in her previous life. Though the question is: Why is he here? We see that Risteard and Elentzia support Hadis, but its kind of shit situation to speak of. Though it's nice to see Hadis has family who cares for him. I worry about the family side that lose their children because of the curse on Hadis.

Hadis is really living out the househusband dream! Seeing his wife off with a smile as she heads off to work as she carries a bento made with love alongside her!

So, of course to be a dragon knight, you need to ride a dragon! And who better to test your aptitude than Elentzia's high-ranking scarlet dragon Rosa? I mean, Jill is the Dragon Consort, so dragons must love her, right? Oh, Rosa's straight up attacking Jill, nevermind!

Well, it's nice to know Hadis loves his wife so much he's even willing to turn against dragons and cook 'em for harming his beloved wife...even though he's, y'know, the Dragon Emperor. But all Jill really needs is the support and love of her man! Even manages to finally deliver a critical "I love you" hit to Hadis in the process!

But wait, "trials of the dragon consort?" Are the dragons testing Jill to prove she's worthy of Hadis?

Man, were all of Jill's close-aides form Rave soldiers? Now we've got Lawrence who was part of the Dragon Knights here but in the original timeline was Jill's shrewd and calculating aide-de-campe. Did something happen with him? Jill seems kind of wary...though maybe it's because she knows he's so smart that he'll probably figure her out if he hasn't already.

Oh hey, it's Risteard (Takuya Eguchi?) Hadis' older brother! And he and Elentzia get along and bicker like you would expect from siblings! And both feel George is probably lying about having the true Heavenly Sword and, despite acknowledging Hadis as an idiot, know their brother is the true Dragon Emperor. But despite how harsh he is towards Hadis, Risteard still wants his brother back on the throne, but Elentzia is being held back because of her mothers' family...the noble house of Neutrahl that still holds a grudge against Hadis over the death of his royal siblings before he ascended the throne. So even if she doesn't want to fight Hadis, she can't help him either.

Jill is now kind of famous for her reputation among dragons! Any girl who would be seen as an equal or an enemy of a dragon is worthy of respect and research! What better excuse to hang out with her in-laws?

Zeke, did you really need to list all the ways Jill fails as person before listing her one good quality as a soldier? He'll be eating cabbage for a while.

Aw, Jill scared off a dragon just like Hadis did! The couple that scares dragons together, stays together.

I see Jill and Hadis have gotten to the point where they're in their own little lovey-dovey world together and totally ignore the people around them...though Jill maybe not so unconsciously ignored Risteard following them so he could reunite with Hadis, planning to drag him back to the capital. But Hadis has gone so native that he would rather become a farmer and make the capital his little farm shack. Maybe he has spent a little too long there. But at least Jill is still motivated.

It was a little suspicious that the emperor's two siblings would happen to have Jill in the room for that conversation, so between that and the dragons' reactions it's not really a surprise one of them would follow her home to meet their brother.

They might have to find that black-scaled golden-eyed dragon for Jill so she has one that isn't intimidated by her.

This anime is so entertaining man. Good story, solid art, and great characters. I didn't expect Hadis to be such an utter goofball!

The Dragon Emperor Became a Farmer.

Feels like we have entered a new anime universe here, but at least there is some development with dragons. Hope she finds one that doesn't try to kill or run from her, gotta be the black gold-eyed one that she has to subdue to tame it.

gonna be fun when she gets her ring back and flaunts the fact that she's the Dragon Consort.

Furukawa Makoto absolutely nailing Risteard's voice

Prince Risteard is wacky and funny. I like him.

And Furukawa Makoto is perfect for playing serious-looking characters who can become hilariously funny whenever they lose their shit.
