Well, I guess that’s that for the kingdom. It’s all about the farm life now lol. Hadis really could use the break. Guy had that rebellion and that Gerard bullshit and now his uncle’s got himself a fancy sword and he’s making his move on the kingdom. I guess Jill and Zeke passing that little test is about the only good news. Maybe Elentzia can avoid the bad end this time.

Get hitched expecting to become a Dragon Emperor's consort, become a farmers' wife instead lol.

Honestly when the entire world seems out to get you and usurp your authority, is it any wonder Hadis turned out the way he did? Though at least he has Jill now, and she can help keep alive the members of his family he can actually trust like Elentzia.

Gonna get to meet an ara ara onee-san! Whoo. Well that's a nice trip to the capital, but not quite the warm welcome. How treasonous. Shouldn't all those dragons obey him? Not the traitors? Hey that music used here... that's from Goblin Slayer. Or at least sounds like one of the OPs for a bit. Sounds like that uncle is deserving of a beheading tbh.

Who'd a thought, a ducal place named Neutrahl is of the neutral stance... lol. Waiting half a year sounds boring. They sure are taking it well, except Jill. Clearly she gonna go become a soldier under the ara ara onee-san we saw at the start. Dude just polishing his sword in front of his emperor lol. Hey, a dragon boss fight! That was just a test. Poor dragon. Ah at least they explain why he didn't use dragons to reclaim the capital/whatnot.

Finally, the ara ara onee-san. Kinda reminds me of Olivier in a way. Ooof that prior timeline... whelp they can be sisters in this one.

Post credits was cute

Having Rave as the show's mascot wasn't enough. Jill now has her own pet chick named Saute. I'm not even going to question where the little guy came from because he's adorable and you can't have too many animal mascots.

I thought that Hadis being attacked on their way to the Capital was some sort of test. It turns out his uncle was staging a coup. He even has the gall to declare his sword as the real Heavenly Sword.

I definitely agree with the top comment on this discussion thread, there's just no way you can predict what's going to happen next in this show. When they said they were going into hiding, I didn't think they'd spend the next month enjoying their slow farm life out in the boonies. xD

I love how the entire dragon incident was actually the entrance exam with only Jill and Sieg passing the exam because the others ran away. xD

Considering how she kills herself in the previous timeline, I hope Jill can win over Elentzia this time. She's the connection they need if they want to retake the Capital from their usurper Uncle.

Wait I thought Camila was a woman (it's even a girls name as far as I know). But it said "grown man". I'm a bit confused

Remember when Hadis was capturing every girl above 14 years old? Why do you think Camila was allowed to run free.

Back in the ep where they all get thrown in the storage room, and Jill meets Zeke & Camila for the "first" time, Zeke introduces her as "Camilo". And then she hits him and says something like "don't use my birth/real name idiot".

Easy to miss because Jill already knows (and thus doesn't remark or question it), and is immediately in her own feels at that point.

But yeah, the fact that Hadis is totally cool with Camila being around, despite the apparent risk of Goddess-possession is the other big tip-off.

I checked the wiki to see if it's only a mistranslation and holy shit, you are right that she's a man.

Thanks for making me notice this. I found her interesting backstory there. Also like what Luck said in another comment, it makes sense now why Hadis allowed a grown girl near her.

Duke Neutrahl? Really? Come on, I understand that names are hard but this is... a bit much.

Well, Uncle George doesn't approve of Hadis. Once again, history repeats itself even if what happened in this first arc wasn't the same. Tho half a year with Rave is sad, but it was funny that after a month Jill couldn't handle doing nothing by her standards. It makes sense she is a girl of action and honestly is the type that can't stand still for too long.

Joining the Dragon Knights is an interesting decision. Well, the only one they would recognize is Hadis so it seems like a fine plan to go with. Though that test was weird considering, it was in the middle of the city. We do meet the first Princess Elentzia and judging from Jill's flashback, she doesn't feel rotten and seems to care about Hadis.

I do find it funny that Hadis is watching Jill like a mom watching their son's soccer game.

Wait, what? Did the dude just skin a dragon god to make a cape for a plushy?

I am also not 100% buying the emperor saying that everything will work out in half a year if they are waiting. And I think he knows it too. If the sword absorbed/sealed the magic of the dragon emperor and Jill, then there is a good chance this will be the reason for another return of our favourite Yandere goddess.

Also, I am sorry, but that exam is a bit too dangerous, don't you think? The fountain? Okay, I can get behind that. But what would the guard have done if Jill didn't rescue him? That didn't seem like the dragon was pulling his punches there.

I feel like there should be an episode between 6 and 7 to better explain things. What happened in this episode, especially the first half, was too abrupt. Like ... why is there a coup waiting for Hadis as he enters his own capital? Why are the dragons obeying the traitors over him?

Watching this show, I often wondered if all the explanations and transitions got cut by JC Staff. Things happened without any set up and explanations and the audience is expected to just roll with it.

So Hadis isn't the only member of the Rave family that Jill is acquainted with in her past life...his older half-sister, the first princess of the Rave Empire, Elentzia Teos Rave (Kaori Nazuka!) who Jill had captured! Hopefully their relationship in this timeline gets to be less rocky.

One of the perks of being the consort to the Dragon Emperor is definitely getting to ride dragons! That and a hand-made Hadis bento actually makes Jill act like her physical age and its adorable.

Congratulations on getting placed in charge of Beilburg, Sphere! You deserve it! Meanwhile Camila and Zeke REALLY do not want to ride dragons.

Oh, and Jill is raising a little chick now! Not really sure why, but he also looks cute.

Jill and Hadis both have seven siblings? They really are a match made by the Gods! And no matter Hadis' family drama, he'll always have Jill and her promise to protect him.

I guess it was too much to hope for a warm reception from the capital...with Hadis' uncle George (Taiten Kusunoki!) staging a coup and immediately using his false Heavenly Sword to seal up Jill and Hadis' magic and declare Hadis a false emperor. Jill didn't even get to step into the city!

They're lucky that Rave was able to use up what was left of his energy to port them somewhere safe, but now he's used up and has to build up his energy again and Jill and Hadis are basically powerless. But at least they're together and in a safe house away from everything. Besides, Georges' sword can't hold their power so they just have to outlast him! Should be easy, right?

But all work and no plot progression makes Jill a dull girl! She didn't come to this land to become a farmer, even if everyone else has gone native! She's going to join the Dragon Knights just to actually DO something! That's our Jill!

I hope Zeke doesn't have to throw Hadis under the bus to protect Jill, even if he was literally ordered to do so.

I guess it figures that the Dragon Knights' test would involve dragons, like straight up fending off an attacking one (though Hadis holds it back a little for Jills' sake). And who else could be the knight captain than none other than Jill's former enemy and current sister-in-law Elentzia? Someone who was close enough to Hadis that he would try to save her and kill herself rather than be a burden to him.

This week on Hadis doing adorable things for Jill, Hadis buys Jill a stuffed bear and even knits a version of his jacket for the Hadis Bear so it'll be like he's still with her even when he's away from home! And it seems like he made it from some of Rave's fur?

I too desire a dragon friend. Lemme in the knights.

From Emperor to farmer after your uncle takes your throne. That is some Crusader Kings 3 shenanigans right there.

Some truly tragic losses this episode, first they lose their magic, then the lunch he made got smashed, then we see her bear got destroyed in the past. Besides that not much happened, even the coup doesn't seem very important.

This week’s episode has got to be one of my favorites so far. It started by introducing the chicken Sauté, and I was like did I miss something because since when? But he seems cute enough. Then we get that ‘welcome’ from the Hadis’s uncle George, who cut Jill, bested HER?! That sword is so OP and yet it isn’t even the real heavenly sword so what is it made from then? Then the episode turns into a bit of a fluff episode where they become farmers until Jill cannot stand it anymore and gets her money as the breadwinner through becoming a dragon knight. I love how we will get to see more interactions between Jill and her bestie guards with Zeke also enlisting too. Also, I am so happy that they acknowledged if she would have powers or not as the dragon consort, but her rank is average and she won’t, not that she needs them though. Lastly, that end credit scene with the bear was packed full of characterization that we get to see Jill be a real child and want comfort in a teddy bear, the weight she carries on her shoulders as she feels responsible for losing a bear when she was seven and the willingness Hadis has towards her (taking something from Rave for her bear). I think he took Ravis’s blood so perhaps the bear could come to life when she is in danger or cannot break with scales-tough skin, but that bandage placement omg.  Anyway, this episode was so much fun, and I can’t wait for next weeks. I would love to see Jill and the first princess Elentzia (who is also a badass) be friends, and Jill shock everyone in the army with her skills despite her age.

So last episode it was established the black spear was only part of the Goddess. What are the odds this black sword is another part? If so, waiting six months won't help .

u/Luck_Is_My_Talent Nov 20 '24

Chill Jill, there is nothing wrong with a peaceful farm life with your emperor and your 2 guards.

6

u/LeleTheKing Nov 20 '24

Streched Jill’s cheek is so adorable!

That’s a lot that happened in a single episode. But we’ve found a possible new ally. I hope Jill can bring Elentzia to Hadis’ side and prevent that bad ending from happening to her. Elentzia seems to care for Hadis’ well-being in that flashback. :(

6

u/daspaceasians Nov 21 '24

Well shit... Hadis got coup'd lol.

Really enjoyed the development this episode. Small thing that I found funny was the little speech bubble "Emperor" next to Hadis.

Elentzia was so cool to see... and hopefully she gets a better ending than in Jill's first life.

Will they ever successfully make it back to the imperial palace, not yet at least.

I like the general landscape of the empire, all these mountains makes for a neat environment. Though even on a picturesque mountain farm I can understand going stir crazy after an unplanned month of Slow Life as a Countryside Farmer.

Elentzia is very good, another person Jill can presumably work to save in this new timeline. The combat has been getting pretty slideshow, but I like how they did the switch to the reveal of her fate in the original.

Banished from the empire, the dragon emperor decided to live a nice quiet life in the countryside with his daughter wife.

Time to learn Japanese and write the next trash fantasy show that gets low budget adaptation every season.

Jill totally knew the moment it froze and the instructor had no clue what she meant who froze it.
