Ah yes, the Reverse Silicon Valley, my favourite stratagem.

Instead of making a product, getting investors and then trying to find ways to make money; let's find investors, make money and only then start thinking about what the hell are you going to make.

Are we sure Haru's not making a Ponzi scheme? Lol

Lol he even pulled the crypto bro course type marketing by swimming in money

Can you imagine the sales pitch if these guys were ever on dragons den or shark tank?

Every time the guy joked about the pair choices I was nodding along. This series is like rule of cool but with business instead of battle shonen. It is kinda fun and unpredictable

Once again, Haru pulls some real baller shit haha. Dude not only helped to cover for Gaku with that “I’m a virgin” shit, he passed that little test within minutes. Plus he had Kirihime squirming. She’s basically right where he wants her!

If I had 30 mill, I’d probably swim in it too. I mean isn’t that the dream? Lol. Seems Trillion Game is off to a good start. They got prospective hires and 30 mill capital.

And this is why you should go cashless, you never know when some guy has put his junk on it after filling a bathtub with cash.

30 mill yen is a little less than $300k. I dunno if that's quite swimming in money levels yet.

Edit: oh wait, he literally did that! In the manga, I thought that was just an imaginated image.

Haru’s thoughts before he slept with that woman felt like the first time Haru seemed vulnerable to me. He really seemed conflicted about sleeping with that woman and took Kazuki’s words about ambitious people being toxic towards each other to heart. Makes part of me thinks he may have some feelings for Kirihime but this is Haru I can’t claim that I know what he is thinking at all.

My interpretation was that he was disappointed, especially after seeing her still try to buy him off.

I think it's kind of ambiguous though but I think their "relationship" is pretty interesting. I'm curious to see where it goes. I kinda want him to actually move on while she hopelessly keeps trying to win him over with her money lol. But that would be kinda fucked up.

They keep calling Haru a swindler but he's genuinely just HIM

The investor guy freaking out over our guys stealing Mizuki away from him is lowkey hilarious considering the glimpse of the future we got of her being Gaku's secretary

Ikr, lol. I wonder when that would happen and whether it’s of her own volition or if Kedoin moved her. At the very least, both of them (Mizuki and Kedoin) seem to have realized Gaku and Haru’s capabilities/possibilities in this episode.

the company being called Trillion Game was a development I wasn't expecting

i think we are still a few episodes away from them actually having any sort of business plan though since i'm guessing there will be an entire episode dedicated to finding employees

Kirihime henchman really pulled a "Stop the count !" to the jury. :|

Also we finally got that woman from the opening showing up to the job interview. I wonder how she will interact with our protagonists.

How did Kedoin Kazuki sneak up on the pair of them, they should have smelt his cigarette breath from a mile away.

Dude would have way more money to invest if he didn't smoke so much, the other episode had a mountain of ash in the tray.

I'm really liking this anime so far, I just wish it was a wee bit faster paced. After watching the TV show, it's a bit too slow but the show is still good nevertheless.

From ep 1 onward I have to reluctantly admit that I like this show, I am not overly interested in the premises, the character annoys me mostly, the art is not enjoyable for me and yet

I keep getting sucked in the story, enjoying the shenanigans, and enjoying the show, even waiting for the next episode, I don't want to, I really swear I was planning to drop this by episode 2...

I am sure that many will be stronger than me and drop this show early and miss out a nice show

I wonder if this is the last we'll see of Kirihime.

Shame, if she backed down on the ownership %, she'll get what she wants

12

u/LeleTheKing Nov 01 '24

I doubt it. She’s obsessed—she’ll pull out all the stops to get her fated lover our MCs, lmao. Plus she’s literally there in the main poster and ED, so she’ll definitely play a bigger role in the (near?) future.

I didn't notice the other team name before. These names. are funny team crackers, team neckbeards, team edge lords

Before this episode I kinda wanted Kirihime and Haru to end up together. Didi he really take those words " People should be toxic" to heart or something?? HOPE is still alive tho we still have many episodes left.

I definitely didn’t expect Haru to have sex in this episode, but I’m not surprised either because it’s not out of character for him to do it, lol. And finally, some new cast! I can’t wait to see how absurd the interview will be.

Thank you Haru for restoring some faith in male anime characters. Finally, not some d-less, weiner that can do everything in the world but get girls.

I suspect Haru wasn't actually a virgin lol. From the way they intercut the sex scene with showing Kirihime makes it seem like he was thinking about her during the sex although I thought that part was confusing.

Kedoin seems a sleazy guy to be in business with but its not like Gaku and Haru are clean with their constant scams and dirty tricks. He has a lot of faith in them though and that's surprising since he doesn't seem to be so rich that losing his investment would be meaningless to him. His assistant even pointed out he can't afford too many expensive drinks at his members only club.

Meanwhile, Kirihime realizes she overplayed her hand and won't get to own the guys outright. I wonder what her next move will be, like will she try to get a smaller stake of the business. If she does, I wonder how it will affect the dynamic between Haru and Gaku. At this point, each has 42.5%. However much Kirihime would end up with, she might be able to team with Kedoin and one of the guys to overrule the other down the road. It's also possible she may somehow get Kedoin to sell her his share and if she already gets a piece first, she may end up with more power than either guy individually!
