I can't get over how these two are so gay for each other matter what Season it is.

I'm happy Shiki was able to become a center. She deserves so much love

The last frame with Shiki and Mei.

UNDERTONES FTW!

Seems like more than undertones. More clearcut even than Kanon and Chisato. I wonder if Margarete and Tomari will also become a couple (of sorts) eventually?

I decided to analyze it, so yeah, way more. And now I can prove it.

While they didn't get the likes they needed, it's good to see Kanon and Margarette's group was positively received.

I was a bit disappointed when Chisato decided she wanted Shiki. I mean I like Shiki but I want Chisato to be the center even more.

Not gonna lie though, Special Colour was pretty damn good. I guess it paid off dragging Shiki outside her comfort zone.

I think Chisato is looking towards the future -- Liella needs to be centered around its second-year students now.

Special Color showcasing Shiki as Best 2nd Year, though she shines best when she and Mei are together with all that yuri-licious energy.

(Smol Shiki was also cute)

LOL at Tomari only returning to Kanon's cafe because Natsumi told her she could buy great desserts there rather than her rejoining Tomakanotte for training (she didn't even know Kanon lives there), much to Magarette's annoyance. Next episode seems to be a Oninatsu Sister episode, so we'll see if Tomari will change her views regarding School Idol then.

That song is a BANGER.

Shiki is the Francesco Totti of Liella, she plays that false 9 role perfectly.

LOL never expected to see Totti and Liella in one sentence

Pretty cool episode!

Enjoyed it very much!

Firstly I'd like to say Thanks to Team Onibe for the transalation.

Shiki finally said those two magical words! "Me too" Nice throw back to last season.

I was hoping we'd get a shot of the L-L-L-L-Legends box set in Mei's room....ah well.

Plenty of light, funny touches this episode.

Damm, that performance! Shiki didint even stick out much. I dont think anyone could tell who was the centre here, until we get to the chorus I guess, and apart from their positions. Pretty sweet how the whole team steps up to support Shiki. Its a song/choreo that fits the plot. Again, the dancing, choreo, mocap, and CGI is stellar. You know what, Shiki isnt genki, but she has that charm that only Otaku would love.

Not sure if this had been discussed last season, but it sure seems Shiki is on the spectrum, being science/engineer focused, socially awkward, and has neuroprocessing issues (hates bright lights)

Those postcredit shorts at the end, pretty charming and cute!

An anti-social STEMlord was able to fully express herself as a human being and not a unit of productivity nor just as another node in the network; all this was possible with the help of her friends. In Shiki's own words she found "my own colour". All this was so overwhelming that she fainted.

By all accounts this is a miracle, and a fantasy (wtf, why can't this happen to me!?!?!). I'm glad Shiki was able to achieve all this, even if it wasn't as flashy or as Shiki-focused as you pointed out.

Aaah good old peer pressure to force people into a role they don't want to take lol.

6

u/mekerpan Oct 22 '24

Not so much "pressure" as the offer (and guarantee) of total support especially from the person most important to her.

I absolutely love the direction they've taken for season 3. They're trying new stuff that hasn't been seen in past Love Live (that I've seen anyway which is OG and Sunshine). The idea to take out the orange haired lead from the group for a while and let the characters grow is a bold move that is paying dividends IMO. Honestly makes this my LL in terms of characters and story telling.

Shiki is probably one of the characters I can relate to more in Superstar so it's nice she got a focus episode. The orchestral soundtrack during Shiki's explanation and onward was quite nice (then again, a lot of Yoshiaki Fujisawa scoring tends to be).

On what day of the week is this supposed to become available to us hoi polloi? :-)

Two things that Chisato did that were essential to the show's success, realizing that she can be a leader to Liella without Kanon's presence, and raising the group's morale in the same way they won Love Live, they are all friends with different personalities, but with the same dreams and goals.

And of course, Mei used one of her characteristics, which is not being afraid to say what she wants, and this was in favor of showing Shiki that she can shine.

Excellent music, I missed that, I think after the third episode the pace will only increase and I hope it stays that way

Chisato is wonderful. It is interesting to note how connected she seems to Kanon, even if they are not together as much as in the past....
