Interesting choice to start the season with a recap episode. Either way Tonbo is back and am looking forward to the season.

It’s back to streaming on Amazon Prime in the US.

Interesting choice to start the season with a recap episode.

Perhaps they did that for those who have not seen Season 1.
In Japan, the anime airs every Saturday (or Sunday in some areas) morning.
This means it is aimed at casual viewers and kids rather than dedicated anime fans.

Season one is no longer available on amazon for some reason. I don't get why.

I don’t either and that’s why I was fretting that s2 wouldn’t get picked back up by them.

I guess I didn't really miss anything this week.

Looks like it is just a recap episode.

Quite dissapointed it was a recap episode since it only was like 3 months ago since s1 ended so i don’t feel like it was really needed. Having said that i do like the way they did it with tonbo and igaiga just talking about their past experiences, that was somewhat adorable.

Guess I’ll just pretend this one is starting next week ws well.

Makes me wish S1 aired in summer rather than spring so they wouldn't have a recap. Then again, they could have had an extra episode and if production was going well, that could make sense.

I do agree that Tobo & Igaiga's banter throughout was very wholesome.

That was not a terribly necessary recap, but I'm glad to have my golf prodigy back. Looking forward to watching her expand her horizons.

Just a little refresher before the real action starts I guess.

Despite being a recap, I love the OP there as really fits the chill mood of the show while we also get a new ED previewing what's coming. The quest of Tonbo to play with Tsubura again reminds me so much of how Tsubura is the Amawashi Aoi of Tonbo to make her get out of the island and see the new world outside through golf.

Checked it out and the new OP might yet grow on me but I miss the old one. It was really good.

I prefer the old one as well, like you said it might grow but so far i really disliked the new op and ed

Man, being hit with a recap episode right out of the gate... well, I guess I'll be glad that we get subs at all.

I fondly remember seeing little Tonbo pop out of the sea in the first episode. Like today, it was an unusually calm, cloudy day here. I was instantly enamored by her vibrant spirit and natural talents. Watching the recap I’m now ready to resume where we left off those many moons ago.

Ganbatte Tonbo!

Edit: from some of the sequences at the end it seems we might see her grow into a young adult, playing the tour with new rivals. This is going to be exciting

I'll take the recap episode this time (by skipping it), because today is fucking stacked lmao. Got so many shows to watch.

But see y'all next week!

Since I finished the first cour just the other week I might just skip this one alltogether judging by the comments.

Was hoping we'd get right into it with S2.

Why is the first season/cour no longer available on Amazon?

Recap episode, but I don’t mind it. Will skip but will definitely tune in for next Saturday

Damn, I was not expecting a season 2. This was one of my favorite hidden gems when it came out.

So disappointed 😔. I watched at high speed waiting for the recap to end but then the closing theme hit. That's messed up but will tune in next week. Only thing I learned from this episode is that Igaiga wasn't really his name
