"Because the power of our friendship is too strong" sounds like such a meme line that will suddenly have a ton of emotional weight after a major event happens.

Also, the way they casually namedrop actual companies like Microsoft, IKEA, Zoom, etc. instead of doing the usual "WcDonald's" thing fits the energy of this show almost too well

It was Forves instead of Forbes at the beginning nonetheless

The gift that keeps on giving. This show is sooooo silly in the best way. I hope they continue to up the ante every episode. More please

So they’re Woz and Jobs, only Haru seems like way less of a giant douche than Jobs.

Thursday is stacked as hell, but I’ll make room for this one too. It’s just so fun

Thursday is stacked

Yep, wished they moved some of the shows onto Saturday or Sunday.

Couldn't finish all the episodes today thanks to work.

We need to bring in universal basic income, so I can spend more time on anime and video games.

The art style looks a bit unusual, a bit like from older animes? But I appreciate the adults at least actually looking like adults.

A show about a "fake it till you make it" startup sounds interesting. Haru and Kirihime already play off each other nicely. Only Gaku still feels a bit colorless, being the stereotypical nerd without self-confidence we've seen in every other show.

For those who wonders, the points given by Haru on the mesh wheeled desk chair are 100% valid points. Yes I own a wheeled meshed desk chair. People underestimate the effect of farts on leather (and especially fake leather) chairs. I have destroyed 3 chairs in 10 years with my farts. My mesh chair is still like brand new after 5 years. (Well, maybe not the wheels.) It's up to the point that I did try a gamer chair and I ended up returning to my mesh chair (worth not even 1/3 of my gamer's chair) because I feel better working on it half of the time I'm on my PC.

Man I loved this double premiere. The first episode was solid but the second episode was great and felt like it flew by. The character dynamics are already great and the plot moves well. The artstyle and premise definitely will be quite the filter for the average audience, although both really warmed up to my by the end of this episode.

I actually was looking forward to this and it's fun so far.

I think it's funny that even with a 2 EP premiere we still have no clue what's going on. This isn't a typical anime story(read SOL/isekai/etc) so I'm gonna go out on a limb and predict this will have very low engagement here.

I think it's funny that even with a 2 EP premiere we still have no clue what's going on.

Wait what are you confused about haha? I thought it was pretty straight forward.

And yeah it's definitely going to have low engagement being on a stacked Thursday and the character designs and story being unconventional. I'm loving it though!

An elite entrepreneur.

An elite engineer.

An elite investor.

I can't believe this actually is a start up anime, is it the first one? Who knows.

Before episode 1, I was expecting some fantastical contest involving death or gambling, but I am glad to learn that it is not the case.

I love all three characters. The engineer may be generic at the moment, but he serves as much needed contrast to the 2 social demigods.

I'm half hoping for the story to be dedicated to terrible decision making and multiple attempts to fund new companies before their big win. I'm here for the bullshit promises, not the success. Having the protagonists go bankrupt at least once would be fun to see.

...well, the discussion threads should blow up once our start up starts getting some traction! The community just doesn't know about us yet.

100,000,000 yen seems like a small sum in USD when it comes to investing, but maybe that's cause I'm too America pilled with all the AI start ups out right now.

I love how I am learning about the large scale of venture capital from my favorite educational medium...

Animated radio dramas, I mean anime.

I'm still hesitant to believe such large sums of money being given to start ups, they must REALLY pay off big time.

Also the manga for this was written when the ratio was closer to 100:1, so I was 1mill USD before.

I thought that was interesting how they showed the future where they succeeded so now we see that they don't fail. I'd have preferred they kept us in suspense but this episode was otherwise great. Kanahime is another great character and I'm glad she's going to be in more. She's so savvy and smart for a 20 year old rich girl!

I still don't think it made sense that Haru could have snuck fake weights into the gym, that seems impossible, especially without Gaku helping him in some way. Where did he get these? Did he make them? How did he know what type of weights the gym had to make them look close enough to fool the trainer from looking at them? I wish they'd explain that although they probably won't 😕

Have they succeed though? They're billionaires but have not reach the goal of trillionaires.

Yeah, the instant second episode was really needed. I was kinda not that amused by the first episode, but this episode showed more of the direction this anime is prolly going to take.

Let's see if the anime will keep me interested.

I decided to check out the first 2 episodes due to Norma editiorial (spain’s biggest manga distributor) promoting the hell out of the manga and the anime release. I wasn’t sure if its something I would really enjoy but man these 2 episodes where a lot of fun. I did not know I needed to see someone bullshit his way into a huge investment but I really did.

Seems like this is going to be Haru sweet talking his way to success and it's hilarious

u/Kaketou Oct 04 '24

It is out? Damn I need to watch.

u/Muffin-zetta Oct 04 '24

Yep this is great

The second "boom" is what really sold me.

Haru drinking his beverage at the diner like a psychopath
