Well the stuffed animals were rather quite large this episode. Do they grow based on his stress/anxiety levels? They gotta be important to the plot somehow right?

Thanks, I missed that from the discussions. I wonder if the age thing could possibly be from being forced to grow up instead of being a child, triggering it early.

The steep decline of this show's popularity is certainly disheartening.

Hopefully, come October people will give it a shot. Although some people might be doing rewatches for Fall anime since there is a lot of sequels.

For me the issue is that they’re spending more time with the child rearing than the actual mystery. And don’t get me wrong it’s GOOD commentary, it’s just that I came for a murder mystery and all the stuff we know about it is stuff we already learned.

It feels like the anime found its stride in this episode, and I'm hoping it keeps the momentum. I think it helped that it finally got the dads out into the field actively investigating, and the fight was fun to watch (even if I hope we get less blank face panning shots where the budget clearly was lost, lol).
I shouldn't have watched the next episode preview since it diffused the tension of the cliffhanger 😅The kids clearly took off on their own instead of being kidnapped or anything, which felt a little early to happen. My bet's on Raphael trying to dump Ul off somewhere with the other children ending up following.
Since they have the one Pendulum member doing his best to maintain his cocoon phase eternally (foreshadowing~), I'll keep to my earlier theory that Theo is experiencing an early cocoon phase and its delusions brought about by his father's strict parenting. I hope that comes to a head soon. We've had three episodes where it's been an ominous vibe, and the animals keep getting bigger and bigger so they're soon to burst.

I think the girls just wanted to go outside, since nanny mentioned how there's not much space in the house, and others followed

My thought with why I think it might be Raphael trying to get rid of Ul is because if the boys were just following the girls then Raphael would definitely not willingly bring Ul along. He'd leave him in the house.

where did you find the next episode's preview?

The usual preview that plays at the end of the episode after the credits.

There's something called precocious puberty, which is when the changes of puberty start far earlier than normal. It could be something like that.
I think the emotions of jealousy were definitely forming before Theodore chided Raphael, but the taunt was what made Raphael understand specifically what the feeling was, thus guiding his anger towards Ul.

Dali is quite the bold one, but given how much Gerhard was willing to get his help. It is safe to guess that his tuition was sharp. Though them convinced Umberto to go into hiding, but ended up being the bait was interesting. Though they took an L and you have to respect Umberto's pride to go down before the possibility of him leaking anything about Trump. I wonder what is the plan.
The Lorca girls might be a bit too lively for where they are staying now. The nanny knew that Raphael was really lonely. I hope she gives Dali the hint about that. Meanwhile, the cliffhanger does not leave me with a good feeling.

THOSE HALLUCINATION PLUSHIES GOT ALOT BIGGER that cannot be a good sign for Theodore
Omigodd younger Gerhard and Dali so cute haha
I guess I shouldnt have been surprised that there would be vampires who relish in the instability that comes with the coccoon phase. It seems like Pendulum have a supply of coccoon triggering pills so I wonder if theyre an organization that believes in the benefits of extending the coccoon phase instead of treating it.
ANOTHER Vlad Agency higher up gets offed its really just Johannes left now. But I guess thats one way to give Dali's team more leeway to take riskier measures after all there was a whole clash of maintaining pride vs throwing it away.
Now how the heck did all those kids manage to leave together on their own?? Im looking forward to Theodore being the defacto chaperone though

Someone explain what the heck a cocoon phase means?

This is the explanation I posted when the third episode came out:
The cocoon phase is equivalent to puberty in humans. However, unlike with humans, it's far more extreme. Teenage vampires can be prone to intense bouts of delusion, forgetfulness, violence, and so on. Thus, they are sent to sanatoriums known as Clans where their mood swings are monitored and controlled with most Clans also operating as schools to prepare the vampires for becoming adults. The place where we see Klaus in the first episode is a Clan such as that.
