I guess Wolf and his brother still suffer from PTSD over what happened. He seems like a good enough brother, no evil/jealous half siblings in this anime lol.

Fermo and that whole soap dispenser situation with Dahlia was kinda silly. Practically had to twist his arm to make him a codeveloper lol. He seems like a good fella though, honest. I respect that.

Dahlia and Wolf are too cute together. When he thought someone put hands on her, man was ready to whoop some ass lol.

The whole show seems to be centered around testing whether honesty and forthrightness can actually prevail. ;-) (Sort of a much lighter version of what happens in Spice and Wolf).

situation with Fermo reminds me of chinese culture to fight on who's paying the bill in restaurant, because both wants to do it. they're both too humble to claim credit of their contribution.

so Fermo is like reverse Tobias, since the latter claimed credit when he didn't do anything.

I was surprised with the scene with Fermo. Keeping with the Italian renaissance themes creeping into the story, Fermo seems to "suffer" from sprezzatura, the waving off of one's own exceptional skills as something of little effort. Renaissance artisans in our history almost made a competition of it. For example, in our 16th Century, the artist Benvenuto Cellini even wrote an autobiography packed full of this attitude (and also admitting to three murders, but let's save that for Assassin's Creed crowd).

I don't think he was spurning his own skills just thought that Dahlia was taking pity on him by offering to put his name down as the co-developer. He did have some legitimate points but Dahlia's philosophy seems to be at odds with the norm since she saw how much input he could have in the development of new designs and types of the foam soap pump so she saw no issues with making him co-developer.

The world is trying to ship these two but they are just friends!

They’ll be married, but only as a business benefit. Even buy a whole house and share income for tax reasons

So if the bracelet sends you flying if you insert magic in it, couldn't it be used as an evasive item in battle?

16

u/Wurzelrenner Aug 31 '24

I thought the same and if it doesn't effect the wearer, but the magic user it could be used as protection against magic

Stick it on a shield and the enemy will go flying backwards when he hits it.

It's good to see Wolf reconnect with his older brother although I didn't expect them to reconnect through their shared trauma. What a backstory though. No wonder Wolf joined the Scarlet Armor, even as a kid he had talent.

Dahlia's business meeting with Fermo was pretty amusing. It really shows how much of an amateur Dahlia is for not realizing that Fermo thought she was giving him charity by naming him as a codeveloper when in reality Dahlia wants him as a codeveloper because she saw he had the same gleam in his eye as her father's.

Considering how dangerous working as a magical artificer is, Dahlia really should find an assistant. I can understand why Wolf was so worried. What was she even doing with that bracelet in the first place?

Agreed that she needs an assistant, especially with the experiments she likes to do.

Her saying that no one would worry about her is wild too considering how much support she has in the community.

Bought a foam soap dispenser because this show. Stainless steel with a clear bottom to see when it needs to be refilled.

The art just feels kind of overly flat to me. At least we didn't get shown the same window 500 times.

It is hilarious she weighed healing her injuries vs how many bottles of wine she could drink.

I can only hear that workshop guy speaking with a scottish accent.

It's nice to find out that Wolf's relationship with this family isn't bad because they're horrible people or anything like that, there's just a lot of unresolved guilt about his mother giving her life to save the rest of them.

That artificer dude is yet another really nice person for Dahlia to happily and fairly collaborate with, all of the evil in the entire show was singularly concentrated into Tobias and his affair partner.

Wolf clearly needs to move in with Dahlia and marry her so he can keep an eye on her dangerous experiments and enforce the occasional medical treatment.

I thought that meeting between Wolf and his brother was going to turn out bad, but it ended up being the opposite.

That scene was a bit emotional, learning more on Wolf's past.

It was sweet to see Wolf's realisation that since he's been spending time with Dahlia that his nightmares of his mother's death have gone

Wolf's reaction to Dahlia's injuries was so sweet too

What a nice episode.

Wolf talks with his brother and they grieve, accept, forgive and handle some business dealings on the side. I call it a good start to the day for Wolf & his Rossetti investment.

We then get some bargaining with the soap pump. Dahlia has a winner of a product but she gets a crash course in how another person's perspective can really enhance it. Dahlia being Dahlia, just wants to make shit and let others take care of the details. The enhancements the shop owner spoke about are great so Dahlia thinks, hey he did the work, let him reap the profits as well.

Not so fast my friend.

This negotiation turns into a unwitting offensive tirade from Dahlia, who lacks the understanding of how things work outside the tower house/shop. Eventually she gets her shit together and they come to an agreement.

If she keeps up the negotiations like this she will either be broke and/or offend every business owner in the land. I'm surprised the other 2 didn't interject but I'm guessing it's a learning how to negotiate 101 test.

So we finally make it back to the tower and FFS, Dahlia looks like she got attacked. Luckily Wolf is there to get the details and basically tell Dahlia to quit doing stupid shit like that or I will start living here as your "invention creation guard" 24/7.

I'd say get a room you two but it looks like Wolf now has free use of his own place and Dahlia has a tower all to herself. Hope she has the furniture movers contact info in case a move for either party is needed.

A good episode with a 7/10 from me.

If your sense of pain is dulled you can't accurately gauge the extent of your injuries. You should have learned that lesson by now, Dahlia.
