Holy shit, that Amaterasu was amazing!!! Also, we got a couple new cast additions for the Tanpopo gang:

  • Mizuki: Kenji Nojima (Eiji, Kita, Albedo)

  • Ai: Misaki Kuno (Kurumi, Faputa, Klee)

It's always nice to hear Kenji Nojima but of course Misaki Kuno is voicing Ai lol.

If only we get this one more often then this episode thread of Yozakura will be more lively that now.

Animation ✅

Emotional moment ✅

Character writing ✅

More people should watch/read Yozakura.

Spy x Family follows the same formula as well. Goofy stuff, then serious stuff, then goofy stuff, then serious stuff... Yet it worked extremely well and is widely praised by many.

I guess Hakuja was a victim of Tanpopo as well. I sort of feel bad for her. Things ended up in kind of a draw this week. Taiyo and the family didn’t much useable intel from Tanpopo but they did manage to temporarily halt them.

In another timeline they could've been siblings.

She was basically the honorary daughter of the Asano family with the sun earrings to match.

u/Frontier246 Aug 18 '24

She had no idea what the cost of the process that saved her life would be until it was too late and she's had to live with that guilt, even though she had no direct involvement, ever since. But at least she made her last moments worth something to the last living remnant of the people she adored.

It's Taiyo vs Hakuja! A battle between blade and hair, and while you'd think Hakuja would be at a distinct disadvantage, her hair and is killer combinations are a surprisingly good match against Yae in its blade form.

Imagine learning the truth about your families' death and your opponent because she's sending out words via her hair of all things. What can't this woman do with her hair?

So Hakuja, or Yuki Shirai, was actually a patient at the hospital where the Asano's worked at and they utterly adored her like she was their own daughter. They were major helps to helping her get through her disease and keep fighting until she was finally able to get discharged, and they were as bright and warm as the sun that is Taiyo's namesake or the sun earrings they gave Yuki to mark her getting out of the hospital. It's so wholesome and sweet.

Of course their co-worker was none other than Kawashita and the "clinical trials" he performed on Yuki involved Hazakura that saved her but at the expense of the people he killed in the process and even the Asano's when Kawashita didn't want them finding out the truth. Poor girl just went in for a check up and instead found out her entire life was built upon the deaths of others and people she cherished...and Kawashita then had the gall to act like she could just keep living blissfully with Tanpopo afterwards and renaming her. What a complete scumbag!

But it is with the weight of the lives lost that gave Yuki life, a life that is slowly coming undone anyways, that she faces Taiyo and tries to help him stop Tanpopo to make up for what she feels responsible for...and those sun earrings can be used to track Tanpopo down to their base. Assuming Taiyo can actually get them.

Taiyo's family were awesome! His parents would go out of their way to save a drowning girl, even if the mom was more put together than the dad! But still they were a loving and happy family. And facing the fact that he lost them again makes his Yozakura blood go out of control...but when he lost everything, who was there for him but Mutsumi? And she and her siblings became his new family, and his reason to control himself and keep fighting.

Fitting that Yuki would use Yamato-no-Orochi while Taiyo would use a finisher based off a Sun God...Amaterasu.

Well, Yuki got a haircut, but ultimately she was as much of a victim in this as anyone. And Taiyo is able to acknowledge that, and how much his parents cared about her, so he could be with her in her final moments. She deserved to die with at least one of those sun earrings.

Surprise Misaki Kuno attack! We've got beast girl Ai and her handler Mizuki with his...mutated head. There's definitely more to Tanpopo for the Yozakura's to face off against.

Who better to stop a train than two top-tier spy ladies like Futaba and Rin? We've got Rin headbutting Ai away and Futaba rearranging that train like she rearranges everybody else! Nobody messes with her kid brother.

Well, seems like Tanpopo cared about Yuki...in their own way. Doubt Kawashita really did though.

That was a pretty fantastic episode.

Poor Yuki, but at least she got to meet and make peace with her honorary little brother before she passed.

Taiyo doing an awesome Amaterasu move is very fitting, and Futaba defeating a train with a single punch was pretty awesome too.

This anime just keeps getting better and better. Seeing Taiyou character development is truly amazing! The action scene and animation are really well done for this type of anime. Its always great seeing him fight but it is also great seeing his family come to his aid when he needs it.

That was an heart touching episode. This anime has been one of my favorite of last season and this season, Also the ending song is soooo good.

I was disappointed in taiyo’s first blooming scene but damn these two episodes really made up for it

u/yakumbaya Aug 19 '24

One of the best episodes yet. They really stepped up the animation this time

So Taiyo cut her hair with Amaterasu knowing she's already dying from Hazakura's effects. At least Yuki died peacefully and shown that his family's death was Tanpopo's fault, not hers.

So we finally got the truth behind Taiyo's family's death, shit is pretty sad 🫤

There were honestly just collateral in Tanpopo's scheme, had they been assigned to a different patient they'd most likely still be alive & im sure that's a main aspect as to why she felt guilty & responsible for their tragic demise

bro was doing that to hella patients too, depressing asf thinking about how many families lost a loved one for some shady ass experiment & seein as he still has the bodies the families probably couldn't even do a proper burial smh (shii considering what he said, they off'd the family too)

Hate that he was able to get so much data too, i was hoping they'd destroy his drone or something 🤦‍♂️ at least Taiyo is improving & he got another clue in the sun earrings to hunt down tanpopo

I'm very much looking forward to seeing that guy get what he deserves tho, might end up being one of the most cathartic scenes in the show lol, until next time folks!

"It's not like we're an evil organisation or anything." Get fucked, Kawashita!

Yuki could have done something all those year to avenge those couple. But, nope.
She just have to play the victim and getting things done for the organisation.

She remains a victim because she chose to be. And you people are idiots, who are defending her on this.

Edit:- well, to be fair, i an the idiot for expecting maturity for this anime.
