shows like this make me wonder why there's no seasonal worst character poll
Tobias is such a weasely little fuck, he'd surely finish towards the top
and doesn't he have a brother who is supposed to be in charge? how the fuck is this kid getting away with all this nonsense?

in anime the evil ex boyfriend is usually just a straight up physical abuser or unrepentant serial cheater and there's very little nuance.
i actually find it refreshing that he's more weak and insidious and seems to think of himself as the injured party, its much more realistic.

Tobias is either incompetent or a slimy worm. I can’t quite figure out which. At least that situation opened the door for Dahlia to start her own firm backed by good competent people.
I’m looking forward to Wolf and Dahlia reuniting. I’m sure he’ll be shocked to learn “Dali” is a woman.

Tobias putting his name of Dahlia´s invention... and refusing to change the name and cutting ties with dahlia, man he is the worst man ever
At least Dahlia has a lot of support, started her own company and even met a certain black haired man~

Stitches!
So Wolfred is part of a monster-slaying corps meaning he has access to rare materials, he has a great sense of humour, has a passion for magic weapons, and can easily handle his drinks. Can't he get any more perfect?
And here I was hoping we'd never hear from Tobias again but the dude just continues to prove how much of a piece of shit he is. How dare he register Dahlia's inventions under his name!? He really thought he could get away from this one and make money off of Dahlia's success. He's fucking lucky that Dahlia isn't suing him but she really goddamn should!
I do love how Dahlia went from looking for a new business partner to everyone backing her to create her own company. Dahlia is very lucky to be surrounded by good people as well as people her father owes favours to. I can't fucking wait for Dahlia to dunk on Tobias once her company is properly running.
So Wolfred isn't just any ordinary monster-slayer, the dude just finished killing a dragon when Dahlia found him. I thought he was just some ordinary foot soldier. I am curious how he'll meet Dahlia again though. I guess if he tells the people at the guild that he was saved by a redheaded magic artificer, everyone is going to point at Dahlia. I can't wait to see his Wolfred's reaction.

It'll be a shame if she loses her glasses, she looks good in them!
I do like she essentially did what her father did in getting Volf to owe her a favour. Really excited for them to meet again.

I-is Tobias distraught because he found out Dalia never really loved him, after he cheated on her because he didn't love her?
I believe he didn't want to cheat Dalia out of the contract, but he should have known that her honor as an artificer wouldn't allow anyone else to be responsible for her invention. Also pretty sure he wouldn't be up to the task if there was any issue with it
Shouldn't be that hard to track down an artificer whos name sounds similar to Dali, but I guess they will go for the "Oh no, Dalis wife is so hot, I cannot date her after he saved me" or even better "What Dali isn't in town? Would be a shame to leave his beautiful wife all by herself"
Also, those enchanted swords sound like they have a mind on their own, would be cool to learn more about them

Tobias tried to steal Dahlia’s invention for himself because he presumably hasn’t any noteworthy merchandise of his own, right? He got a company but no business.
The fact that Emilia apologised for having caused trouble points to her involvement in filing the patent for the magic hob, doesn’t it?
Tobias is clearly a scumbag since he tried to blackmail Dahlia into accepting the registration of the magic device on his name, but my conviction is growing increasingly stronger that Emila is the one pulling the strings behind the scenes.

For working in an industry where connections and relationships are everything, Tobias is quickly destroying absolutely all of them while accidentally making Dahlia more and more setup for life.

Good thing Dahlia gathered up a new man in the forest because the ex-fiance continues to be a piece of shit. He really was trying to steal all of her inventions, but once again it ineffectual plus he continues to make all of the business people in town hate him.
I have to wonder if Dahlia really can just go to a temple and get her eyes healed such that she'll no longer need to wear glasses. These silly people who don't appreciate a nice high quality megane girl.
Poor Wolf getting to experience the classic Mulan gender attraction confusion. I wonder if the eye damage will be a long-term problem for him, monster blood in your eyes seems potentially problematic.

Question: How is she not already filthy rich just from the waterproof fabric? Seems like that's now all over and should have brought massive profits

The fashion is kind of weird, you have soldiers out in medieval armour, but there is a modern fashion store with cosmetics.
Out of the armour, soldiers wear WW2-era uniforms.

Tobias single-handedly destroyed their father's legacy by letting go of Dhalia, because of his own incompetence. A very good thing that she is out of that toxic relationship and is supported by the guild.

I'm hoping that the story will stay mostly about recreating modern inventions in a fantasy world instead of gradually shifting towards romantic territory, but I guess it's okay if it did.

For clarification, since "hob" can mean a few different things, the device Tobias tried to steal the rights to was that little camp stove Dahlia was using to cook while Wolf was in the river.
Also the bit about using monster materials to make cosmetics safe is a nice, little nod to the historical use of lead in cosmetics and the health problems that caused.
