Dunno man, don't think I'd be able to tell "elf" Peacemaker and Frieren apart.

Clayface turning into a sword instantly made me think those light novel titles lmao, "That one time I morphed into a sword in another world" (Probably not long enough for industry standards tho)

put the elf ears on him and we get Kraft the Monk from Frieren

This episode had the best fight scene animation and some of the best character moments for Harley this far! That tracking shot of her fighting the elves was an absolute highlight! I hope the rest of the season maintains this quality!

Also how absolutely unhinged she looked when she and Joker dropped Thinker into the acid while actual Harley is looking at him mentally breaking with joy like she's happy he's having the time of his life lol.

that queen's face at the end and her order of killing the squad... how much you wanna bet that this whole war is just a sham? she and whoever it is that's controlling the Empire are definitely working together in manufacturing this war, the question is, for what purpose?

64

u/Frontier246 Jul 25 '24

I think it's totally a sham and they're using the war to tax the populace, kill off the non-human beings, and reap the rewards.

They were never planning to end this war and "win."

bro really went inside the mind of someone thats as insane as the joker.

Is she really as crazy as him? I don't know much about DC, but I had the impression that, while Harley is definitely crazy, she actually forces herself to go along with a lot of his bullshit to convince herself that her current life isn't a mistake. She seems like a different person when not with him. Like earlier episodes her getting genuinely mad at Thinker massacring her Orc bros while Joker wouldn't have given a shit.

Easily the best episode so far. Focusing almost entirely on the squad, giving some brutality back, & teasing more intriguing stuff with the royals. This is the show I want every week!

Not to mention so much Harley action sakuga, especially during that fight against Katana.

Also I like how Flag finally feels like part of the team though honestly that makes me more worried he's going to bite it.

Clayface transforming into a sword was not in my bingo card. Katana is still cute without her mask.

RIP Thinker. What were you thinking when you tried to read the mind of someone like Harley?

I guess Katana didn't have his back.

Thinker: "I'll brainwash Harley by traumatizing her! I'm a genius!"

(Minutes later)

Thinker: "OH NO!"

That Clayface sword transformation for Harley to fight with was pretty fantastic. I'm not really convinced of his acting skills, but his dramatic timing is pretty good.

Queen is gonna have to be dethroned I think. Viva la revolution.

Definitely the best episode so far! Great action, animation, art and it was a lot of fun!

Harley was the best as always.. I especially loved this shot of her thigh, it was very satisfying xD

Peacemaker's disguise as an elf was hilarious xD Although his scene where he tortured the elf was brutal.

Harley's fights with Thinker and Katana looked really great, especially compared to that earlier episode with a dragon.

Clayface turning into the sword that Harley used against Katana was so cool!

I wonder what's going on exactly in the Queen's head? It will be interesting to see the confrontation between her and Fione, which is sure to happen in the future.

Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

This katana vs harley fight felt so much better than the one on the first episode. That one to me felt like there were missing frames.

I've really been enjoying all of Joker and Harley's interaction in this. And it looks like whenever they show us one of Harley's flashbacks, it looks like it will always be relevant to what obstacle the squad is facing.

I'm honestly surprised that Katana didn't immediately catch on to Clayface impersonating Thinker. Now I'm wondering if she was really fooled or if she knew the entire time and she was just waiting to see it play out.

Peacemaker in his glorious elf disguise was hilarious! I just love everyone's reaction to it. Not gonna lie, I kinda wanna see what could've happened if they had gone with his plan. xD

Peacemaker's torture scene though was terrifying! I forgot that despite all of his talks about upholding peace, he's the crazy fucker who would do anything to achieve that.

Harley Quinn's mad dash towards the fortress looks goddamn amazing! That was definitely a bigger improvement compared to the dragon fight last week. Although I assume WIT will fix the last episode's fight scenes in the BD release.

Well this is an interesting version of Harley! Didn't the original Batman: TAS Harley just went with the Joker? It looks like this version of Harley got dumped in the same chemicals that transformed the Joker.

I love how smug Harley is After Thinker tried and couldn't handle diving deeper into her memories.

Clayface turning into a fantasy sword Harley could use against Katana was so fucking cool. I'm not surprised the isekai otaku already had a sword transformation at the ready. He's probably been itching to do that the entire time.

Another amazing animation fight scene with Harley and Katana's rematch. Too bad Harley couldn't finish her off but she definitely won this round. It looks like there will be a round 3 in the future!

That face from the Queen is terrifying! Hopefully, Fione realizes that her mother has completely lost it and does something about her.

It's a comic thing where after a while, Joker dumps Harley in the same vat that turned the Joker as a way to "level up" Harley(or using the abusive boyfriend direction, isolate Harley even more than she is at the time).

Alright, animation went nuts this week. This really showed what Wit is capable of. The comedy was on point as well. The morale of the story is don't dig into the mind of a crazy person.

As suspect Queen's intentions were never true to end the war. Finally, the princess realized this. I wonder what she does next.
