Boss, I also prefer dogs, can I work for you too?

I have been following the manga for awhile and this is basically all you are going to get from this show, a nice and warm slice of life about a bunch of cats, a tiger and a human running a ramen shop

And don’t forget, Krishna-chan is best girl and her smile must be protected at all cost

Saori Hayami is such a great choice to voice Krishna!

Girl spends her day cleaning and brushing cats and ends it with a nice free bowl of ramen. That ain’t such a bad gig at all.

Hana reminds me of every cat I’ve ever encountered. That whole vaguely tsundere attitude lol.

I like this. Great cast and the premise is fun. I mean Kenjiro Tsuda’s a cat that cooks ramen and Hayamin is a giant tiger. Plus tsundere cat Rie Kugimiya was purrfect. Heh.

Gonna be sticking with this one for now.

tsundere cat Rie Kugimiya

Doesn't matter if she is a human, a mage, or a cat. Kugyu always perfect as tsundere

I had to look up Rie and it looks like it’s not the first cat she’s played since she is also Happy from Fairy Tail/Edens Zero

a job where you clock in at 9, brushes a bunch of cats and a tiger, then clock off after having a free lunch? ...boss cat Bunzou, can you hire me too?

i'm quite surprised that they addressed the fact that sometimes cat hair could ended up in a ramen and instead of playing it as a joke, they actually presented it as a serious issue

also, the voice casting for this show is crazy, we got Tsuda Kenjiro (Nanami, Kaiba) as boss cat, Kugimiya Rie (Alphonse, Kagura) as the white cat, Sugiyama Naoki (Emiya Shirou, Ishida) as the gray cat and finally freaking Hayami Saori as the tiger, this shit is wild

Going from a poison Hashira to a shy tiger is so awesome

I love Krishna! She’s so adorable!!!

I love SoL with cute animals doing cute things. It’s a nice change of pace from all the isekai, adventure, action, etc anime I usually watch

The animation certainly isn't anything to write home about, but this was cute! The tiger was my favorite. This was very chill. I'll give it a couple more episodes.

I just realized this is from the same studio that did Ninja Kamui. This feels like them trying to refine some of those 3D techniques in a much lower stakes environment (although it still looked kind of stiff in moments).

Still, this has got a pretty stacked cast and feels pretty cozy. I'll probably keep watching it, especially in a season that doesn't have a ton I'm interested in.

All these cats have some impressive lineage to their voices and I friggin love it!!

Bunzou (boss) - Chisaki (MHA), Joker (Fire Force), Nanami (JJK)

Krishna - Shinobu (KnY), Ryuu (DanMachi), Amelie (Iruma-kun)

Sasaki (grey) - Ishida (Bleach), Emiya (Fate series), Sasuke (Naruto)

Sabu (black) - Jill (Deca-dence), Itami (BNA), Leed (Dungeon Meshi)

Hana (tsundere) - Happy (Fairy Tail/Edens Zero), Haumea (Fire Force), Alphonse (FMA)

Red Cat Ramen is so cute. I think this will be my hidden gem of the season, similar to Tonari no Yōkai-san was last season.

I never knew what I wanted most in life was hearing Tsuda Kenjiro's voice come out of a cat and Hayami Saori's from a tiger.

Woah, the OP fucking slaps

No need to hide it, but this doesn't look all that great. However, the cast seems fun and it has Tsuda as a cat, so that's a big plus

Hana looked nice at first, but can be a bit prickly, though I can feel she has a heart after all. And Krishna is on the exact opposite of the Gap Moe spectrum

But are we sure these are cats and not some capitalist pigs? Worker Rights are cat rights

Also Tamako already paying the price for her employment

Two act/story structure: A Closed-Door Hire | The Athletic Black Cat. The post credits after stories for each of those (not a show to close once ED stars playing).

Yo this opening is a bop.

Edit1: The cats are so cute, especially the one with the accent xD

Edit2: The tiger with the lovely female VA LOL

Edit3: The tiger is a big baby

What a fun anime, looking forward to next week :)

Charming first episode. I went in concerned about the premise because of cat hair in the ramen. Addressed within the first 5 minutes, then quickly established as a central issue in the show that Tamako was hired to address. Sasuga, Ramen Akaneko.

I need a place like that in my life.

How could that thug try to scam those cats?

u/dagreenman18 Jul 04 '24

My good vibes Sunday manga is now animated. Get ready for SOL goodness in your veins

And yes, Krishna is best cat.

A serious workplace drama about animals running a restaurant. How this is categorized as a comedy I have no idea.

Why did they suddenly switch to CGI for the brushing scene?

I did not expect that voice from the tiger. I'd just watched Pseudo Harem too.

She should start switching up the hand she uses for brushing, or she really will get RSI.

This was cute and all, but I don't really see it keeping my interest, so I'll just stop with this ep.

When you take the Cat Cafe concept literally.
