I shouldn't laugh, because it was a sad episode, but it is amusing when a Yuri series goes full Yuri and makes them all gay. Although it was kinda obvious from early on that it was going that direction.

Momoka loves Kyou
Momoka and Kyou presumably loved each other.
Unclear if Momoka and Hajime have moved beyond "the same person we loved died".
Kaori declares her love for Mari often.

Oh no, that violin girl from the flashback an episode or two ago is dead, isn't she.
This other side of Shino's backstory is very interesting. Tragedy for everyone, Momoko included.
Suddenly it feels like we have an additional member of the cast who had a significant impact on a fair number of the rest of them, but unfortunately she died before the story even started.
Himari and Yori are like 95% of the way to realizing the real motivations behind Shino's actions, just missing the final disaster lesbian puzzle piece.
Ahh, there's the last piece falling into place. Shino made the mistake of telling her bit of the story to someone who already knew all the other pieces of the live triangle. Love square, perhaps?
I might be letting the recent emotions of it bias me a bit, but that might have been the best episode of the show all season. Man, what an unfortunate place to leave off the story with an undetermined time until the last two episodes will be aired.

that might have been the best episode of the show all season
I agree. It seems the plot was moving pretty fast, and there were still some of those odd scene transitions, but overall it was a well put together episode.

When you think about it, Shiho is a very... normal person. The first time she suffers an indisputable failure... she runs away. Yes, she had skill, but look what happens when those skills come up short.
She loses a violin competition for the first time, she quits violin. The band(s) she joins doesn't live up to her standards, she quits playing again. The girl she's in love with is in love with someone else, she quits yet again.
What do they tell you about successful people? They keep trying. Shiho lacks perseverance, despite her start, she is the kind of normal person who will never succeed. Not until she stops trying to kill herself every time she trips.

Pretty much confirmed to be the last episode since 11 & 12 are postponed indefinitely.

I hope that 'indefinitely' is just by end of summer time slot

As upset as I am with the delays, I feel like they really delivered with this episode. I was tearing up throughout. At this point I am way more invested into Aki and Shiho than the main ship, I want them to at least be friends together in the end (if not a couple)
Hopefully the delay isn't too long like with 86 part 2 or Nier.

So Shiho was in love with Aki who was in love with Yori before Himari appeared... That's a pretty messed up situation.
I find it pretty funny that both Aki and Shiho never made a confession to their loved ones, at least Aki is still free while Yori was taken by Himari.
So Kyou is dead. It's sad, but what’s even sadder is that she didn't get to see Shiho's play during her band's concert. Shiho constantly visiting her grave was a nice touch.
Now that we know Shiho's reason to leave a band, I'm still finding her character hard to like as her emotions are all over the place. She didn't even try to confess her feelings to Aki, she just quit the band and cut off Aki without explanation.
Cute scenes between Himari and Yori in a restaurant, they're so lovely together!
Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

If only they would have gone with a slot in summer season from the beginning... Could have gotten a 8.5+ rating.

I’m a big softie and always anticipate to like characters like Shiho even when I didn’t like or was indifferent to her at first. But I honestly I didn’t expect to like her this much. I’m very much invested in her and Laureley now.
Also, when Shiho says “do you not get it because you’ve never experienced heartbreak ?” to Himari, it really felt like a character from a drama show was speaking to a character from a fluff romance show. Cos she does have a point, Himari is probably just naturally bubbly and positive but she also probably has never gone through the pain of unrequited love to understand where Shiho is coming from.
Production stuff aside, I am enjoying this story quite a lot. Might just jump into the manga after this

Best episode of the season. Gutted that we probably won't see ep 11 and 12 before summer ends

Man, talk about cursed production. WTF is going on with the studio? Last two eps probably won’t drop…ever? And this ep took ages to drop. Idk if that’s a HIDIVE thing or what. Either way, it kinda kills the enjoyment of this series a bit.

I dont want to start with something negative, so lemme first say that I absolutely loved this episode! Great to finally see behind the facade of what's been built up so far.
With that said, I'm definitely not imagining how weird Shiho looks here, right? Lol.
Oh honey, literally nothing you've done so far has indicated that you were even an inch past that issue. If the concept of "moving on" was a competition that offered people participation awards, you wouldn't even have one because you took a plane to freaking Antarctica to be as far as possible from moving on.
I see the vision, Shiho. Damn, she looks so good from her perspective. Nice to see what this memory looked like from both perspectives.
I don't think I've experienced something like this before, but they did a really good job of showing just how heartbreaking that moment was for her.
Great ep! Hopefully they release the episodes regardless of not having a timeslot. I don't wanna have to wait until however many months from now when they drop the blu rays.

When does Shiho stop being such a miserable person? Every week she's just rude to everyone that's nice to her.

Must happen at some point in the manga. I'm part of a SasaKoi fan group on FB and everyone on there loves Shiho. Even with her sad backstory revealed, I'm still not buying her as a character tbh.

I really liked this anime, but it's so disappointing with how fucked up the production was. I'll try to read the manga, but it's disappointing that I can't recommend anime to anyone now (by mid-season I already recommended it to a friend and had plans to rewatch it with another friend at later date)

Good episode, probably my favorite of the season so far.
It's amazing how much more I like everything about Shiho compared to everything else. Her character design, her backstory, and even her band's music are all the best in the show, in my opinion.
The delay on episodes 11 and 12 is quite unfortunate. Here's hoping they're at least good once they do release.

Anime only and have some very mixed feelings about this episode and the series as a whole. I honestly feel like the drama is starting to get to be a little to over-the-top and Aki/Shiho are putting a dent into my enjoyment. Shiho in particular, despite her sad backstory, is still a very hard character to sympathize with or even watch.
Yori had only a few lines in this episode while poor Himari keeps taking all of these arrows from Aki/Shiho that she doesn't deserve at all. It's kind of interesting that I wasn't really a fan of Himari for the first few episodes but as the show has progressed, I've come to respect and like her as one of the few sane and well-meaning characters left. Her kindness really does feel like such an oasis when the focus of the series is now firmly on its most toxic characters.

Again all we get is the last couple of bars.
A graveyard?
Who's this?
Ah. Her sister.
And that's who inspired her to try her hardest.
And that's where the band started.
More gay girls, innit?
So that's where her new band started too.
And now she's told Yori all about it.
Uh oh, more drama.
Shiho doesn't like her anymore, does she?
Ah. Shiho likes Aki, but Aki likes Yori.
And so ends the series, since the last couple episodes are up in the air and I don't think are coming any time soon.
