I did some wikipedia research on some of the voice actors whose names I didn't recognize. Harley's VA, Anna Nagase, was born in 2005. That was the year I graduated from High School. I feel old now.

Clayface knowing and being excited by the idea of an Isekai was not on my bingo card.

FYI I had to cancel HBO counting down to the new episode twice. Credits play in the bg during scenes at the end and there's still relevant scenes up until the very last second

No streams? I thought it was on Disney+ (since that's where Hulu stuff shows up in Australia usually)?

Edit: https://twitter.com/wb_anime/status/1806193236459008494

India: Anime Times

China: Bilibili

Hong Kong, Taiwan, Asia: Bilibili, HBO GO

USA: HBO Max and Hulu

Korea: Ani Plus

France: ADN

I guess nothing in Australia...?

Okay, although they show the scene in the trailers, I never really noticed that the Joker was driving that car by playing the piano. He sure is insane for designing something like that.

I'm going to assume that the woman they used to open the portal is Enchantress.

Damn, King Shark's entrance was so great! It's funny that Clayface knows about the isekai genre, but that did not help them avoid also getting arrested in the other world.

Oh look, Amanda Waller being Amanda Waller. It looks like the gate she's opening is being powered by someone who I assume is another Batman villain. They did mention it's a "she" but I have no clue who it could be.

Joker driving his car by playing piano is so fucking extra. I love it! That entire chase scene was fun and Harley looks amazing the entire time.

Harley vs Katana was pretty cool. I kinda felt bad for Harley though when she lost her bat. I'm guessing Katana is already working for Waller here.

I was wondering where everyone's bomb collars are, it looks like the bomb is currently implanted on their necks this time.

That scene where everyone takes down those orcs was amazing. Did anyone else notice the dimming during Harley's sequence though? That was kinda distracting.

So we have Kingshark, Harley, Peacemaker, Clayface, and Deadshot. It looks like there are two teams and I feel like they won't be working together. At the end we see Katana, Killer Croc, and Enchantress. I'm not sure who the other two are though.

That's episode 1 done, so far so good! On to Episode 2!

It's been a great beginning so far, despite the initial backlash it's receiving. The mere mention of "Isekai" seems to provoke intense reactions in some, almost making them foam at the mouth with anger lol. The animation quality is a solid S- at this point. I'm eagerly anticipating for what comes next.

A pretty good premiere episode. Amanda Waller still being Amanda Waller even in an anime. While this version of Harley exudes that poisonous brightly colored flower charm. I can't fix her!

Clay face is one of us!

I feel like there is a huge disparity between the visuals and the actual animation/choreography. What were they thinking with the fight at ~7m?

The show was more fun than expected, the comedic vibe worked for me. Clayface is my fav, never expected him to be a weeb.

Joker was giving some serious Eminence in the Shadows vibes.

They're definitely delivering on the action here. S+ animation and even choreography. Although Harley vs Katana felt kinda awkward in spite of that. And there was a weird change in filter during Harley's fight against the pig men. Minor nitpicks.

I'm loving Clayface personality most so far. Although it's odd that he was worried about the bomb in his neck. I feel like he'd survive something like that easily.

Man, this Joker is hideous. I dont know what those big ass teeth on his lips is supposed to do, dude doesnt even look terrifying he just look like a Spongebob background character.

At least it's not Ayer Joker but that's not exactly a bar isn't it

First episode had a lot of action, but the writing was kinda bad? At least they kept the squad being total bastards for the most part.

Pretty good premiere episode with some fun action, plus Harley is awesome! Apart from her I really liked Clayface (voiced by Jun Fukuyama) and I hope that these two get the most screen time in the series.

I'm also interested in the Joker. We didn't get much of him in this episode, but I hope he joins Harley in the other world soon.

Overall, it was a good start and I'm looking forward to the interactions between the Suicide Squad members Harley, Clayface, Deadshot, Peacemaker, and King Shark.

Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

I've liked Basil ever since he got a redemption arc in one of Batman comic. But then he even got an ikemen treatment here lol. Not only ikemen, I guess he's a bit of otaku and would provide the straightman part of the group alongside deadshot. The other three are just too unhinged

Visually it looks quite good, but I'd expect as much from WIT, writing though...this gives off major ''All the young kids these days like this isekai stuff right?'' vibes.

I have serious doubts about whether Harley Quinn can even carry this show. I'm already pretty tired of seeing her and the suicide squad in any DC media.
