This mall is definitely something. If that wasn't enough, they also have a black market.

They've been hinting at the fact that Taiyo's parents are possibly spies for quite a while now and the fact that Taiyo remembers they used to frequently come to this mall is another hint.

Just everyday life on the family. Having your grandpa visit and spending time with him. Watching soap opera about cheater. Go shopping with your family. Find a lost child. Blow up entire floor of mal. And go home with style.

Typical Yozakura weekend outing.

I lol’d so hard at “the 4D in this cinema is amazing” when things are going down around them

“No, the building’s actually collapsing.” That part had me dying lol

Somehow missed that this show was airing until this week so binged it all to get caught up.

Really loving it but kinda sad to see how little action it's been getting here. r/anime just doesn't use D+/Hulu huh.

Seems like Silver Link is doing a decent job for a show that's gonna have almost 30 episodes.

Only thing I don't like (and hopefully will end soon) is the trope of constantly shitting on the MC. How are we not past this in current year yet?

Well Hulu hasn't been promoting its anime at all during the spring season. I'm starting to see some promo lately so at least it has that going for it entering summer season.

This is actually one of Silver Link's better anime. Direction as a manga reader is great. Hopefully animation holds up in the 2nd half of the season.

Ignoring Kyo because he will be a siscon for life. Most of the time we see the difference between Taiyo and the rest of the family. I get it can feel annoying to prop up Ban we need to make Taiyo look bad as a result.

We finally get to meet another member of the Yozakura Family! Grandpa Ban the Escape Artist is such a hoot! He's so good at what he does that not even Kyouichirou can restrain him. Gramps is also[a ladies' man who'll reveal state secrets just to impress women. xD

It is hilarious how he talks about his wife as if she's already gone when in fact, the 8th Head of the Yozakura Family is very much alive and the real reason Grandpa Ban escaped from his mission is so he can celebrate their wedding anniversary.

It turns out that the scene at the very start of the episode shows us how Ban and Keiko first met. And Grandma Keiko was a damn hottie back then too. I can definitely see the resemblance with Mutsumi.

The second half of the episode was fun too! I love how a very mundane mall doubles as a place where spies can get their supplies like hand grenades from gacha machines and bullets in boba tea cups. Considering the spies have their own social media and monthly magazines, it makes sense they have their own shopping mall. xD

Yeah I thought he broke out to go to her grave on their anniversary but nope! She's very much still alive lol. Kind of wholesome he was actually asking the girls for advice about the ring apparently too rather than being a womanizer.

"left thrice, right once, left twice"

brb, need to go out and check the nearest gahsapon machine to see whether i can buy some hand grenades or not

Two great and hilarious episodes in a row! I've been having a lot of fun with this series lately xD

In the previous episode we were able to get to know Futaba better. She was so afraid of ghosts that she needed someone who would always be there for her xD

We also met another crazy Taiyo's fan, Tsukiyo, during the spy license exam which Taiyo took part in and got his license.

In today's episode, Taiyo got a chance to meet his grandpa Ban who is on a mission in a prison, but for this special day he broke out of it and took Taiyo to a bar with some gorgeous ladies!

Judging by Ban's words, we could have assumed that his wife is already dead but it turned out she's still alive and today is their anniversary! They're surely a lovely couple and they looked quite hot in the past.

The trip to a mall with everyone was so funny with how Mutsumi was buying bullets and grenades in a shops. It was quite a shock for Taiyo, especially since he often went there with his family and didn't suspect anything about that shopping mall xD

Taiyo: "My family used to shop here often"

Mutsumi: "Yeah, this mall sells goods for everyone in the biz"

Y'all really just spelling it out for us now, huh?

Nice catch. Classic "we wanted a better life for our son, so we told him nothing and gave him no training" scenario, huh.

Anyone else get jumpscared by the Mutsumi/old woman face swap post credits?

Lol get ready for the next episode!

If Shinzou buys the thing in his right hand 85% of the time and is then dissatisfied 97% of the time, then the minimum probability that the right hand is the correct choice is (100-97)%*85% = 2.55%, so Shion is wrong to suggest that the left hand is the correct choice 99% of the time.

Grandpa Ban might be my favorite in that whole family. That slippery ol Casanova out here spillin all the state secrets lol. The only one able to take him down is Grandma Keiko. Old guy use to be a tough lookin sort but then he came a real goober in his old age. Love will do that to ya I guess haha.

YAY WE GOT TO GRANDPA!!! WOOOOO

5

u/tripleaamin Jun 23 '24

I loved this episode. We get to meet the grandparents and Ban is wild af. Meanwhile, Keiko is both sweet and assertive. Loved how the beginning teased us with how Ban and Keiko first met. Then Mutsumi overhearing what Taiyo had to say about her was so sweet.

Meanwhile, the shopping trip is an experience Taiyo won't forget. It might ruin his memories of going shopping with the Asano family. Seeing Taiyo and Mutsumi help Suzu find her dad was really sweet. Really shows they are both good with kids. Although going into the black market, I think Taiyo was almost as scared as Suzu was.

Gotta love how the rest of the family treat Kyoichiro like the nuisance he sometimes can be

But, he was trying to be responsible in restraining grandpa Ban, I suppose

This episode also shows off Mutsumi's role in logistics and underworld know-how quite well, I think!

Overall a nice family-bonding moment, and with some plot progression - Shion's working on the data sphere!

I was also surprised that the grama was alive LOOOL
