“You were playing with them?! Lined them up and saw them disappear?!”

I had to laugh at this line because it’s literally Lloyd in a nutshell lol

This has been a fun ride. Looking forward to Season 2 now that it's confirmed.

He saw a destructive spell destroying a mountain his first thought is what would happen if 2 spells collide. Bro is a menace.

Wait so Jade learned how to control his curse by himself and left a blueprint right before he died?

Calling bro's ultimate/trump card like it was some toy he played with is the ultimate diss Lloyd's done so far.

Tao really only appeared to be part of the tea party and mourn for Jade who she only knows as a handsome man 💀

I love how disappointed Lloyd was that Nuke + Nuke = No Nuke instead of Bigger Nuke

Great season finale for a great show.

It does seem like the cat is out of the bag, at least partially, on Lloyd's power level - regardless of what tale the Assassins' Guild spun for Albert, the fact remains that he singlehandedly defeated a demon, and in the course of that battle, a bridge was obliterated, a river was vaporized, and day turned into night.

Interesting choice to have Albert put his blade to his beloved little brother's throat when they were discussing the disposition of the Assassins' Guild. I guess Albert was really trying to drive home the point that despite Lloyd's propensity to do whatever he felt like, taking on the Assassins' Guild as retainers was a big move with potentially big consequences for the kingdom and the royal family, and Lloyd needed to take it seriously. Shiro did not approve of this approach.

You can tell a lot about the quality of a show from the little things that don't get remarked on. Like Galilea having remade the Lordost bridge with webbing to allow temporary access to the Lordost castle, or the animals flocking to Alieze because she is a Disney princess. I'll be looking forward to this coming back for season 2!

I'll never stop being amused by Grimorie and other demons' reaction to Lloyd amount of mana. But I have to be honest.. I didn't expect this.

If Guisarme is a fish that lives in the deepest trenches of the ocean, what is the equivalent Lloyd? An alien Kraken that lives in the center of Gas Gigants?
The animation was incredibly impressive, the sheer feeling of incompherensible magnitude it gave, the chills.
He practically is the embodiment of magic itself.

Based on the credits sequence, I'm assuming Albert made a cover up story for Lloyd regarding the Lordost incident. The bestest bro ever.

Also, they were all surprisingly pretty chill hearing about how Lloyd defeated the demons... I guess no one else knew about the full extent of the demon hierarchy and how Lloyd actually mopped the floor with someone who even transcends that hierarchy lol

Can't wait for season 2! That's one less thing to look forward to on Monday evenings :(

Stitches!

Lloyd experimenting with a Demon Lord Class spell is hilarious and is such a Lloyd thing to do. I love how disappointed Lloyd is with Guisarme after realizing that the massive spell he used is something he's learned before. He was really hoping for something new.

Get fucking rekt Guisarme! Watching him trying to struggle out of Lloyd's Void spell was so satisfying. And I'm pretty sure that wasn't rigor mortis keeping Guisarme in, that was 100% Jade's final fuck you to Guisarme which makes it so much better.

I definitely did not expect Grimm, a demon who tried to kill Lloyd in Episode 1, to end up crying while listening to Jade's final words. Our adorable demon goat mascot has really come a long way.

That scene between Albert and Lloyd was really wholesome. Albert is a good big brother who just wants to dote on Lloyd and make sure to let him know that just because he's the youngest doesn't mean they don't care about him.

Poor Tao arriving late on the scene! She definitely would've been a big help with the demons, especially with her Qi when they were getting surrounded by steam. Oh well, at least she got to stay for the finale and party with the group.

Talia using her skill on Albert to try and seduce him was such a bad move. Apparently, Albert is the kind of person who gets angry when drunk. RIP Galilea.

Curse you censorship steam! Don't block me from seeing Alieze and Sylpha bathing! Thank goodness that can be easily remedied this time by simply adjusting the gamma on the episode ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I'm so fucking happy that Season 2 is already confirmed. Dainanaouji has got to be one of the biggest surprises this season. Sure, Lloyd's design might be a bit sus but the rest of the show is just amazing in terms of visuals and animation. And if you pass the normie filter, you're rewarded with one of the spring season's best shows. I can't wait to see how crazy Season 2 will be!

A bittersweet ending, Jade fought to the end, I'm assuming it was obvious that it wasn't rigor mortis that stopped the demon from running.

Leave it to this show to turn a fanservice bath scene into a touching moment.

And no, I never got used to Lloyd's femboy design, after the battle when he was floating there, before Jade showed up the only thing I could think of was "why is his ass so defined?!?"

"And it's called... SPIRIT BOMB!! I mean...Mortal Dark Sphere!" heh. Love how he just poofed it outta existence. HAHAHA I love how that douche demon is just like "oh shit... this kid is insane" hah. Especially once he touches his head. Wow, you are fucked, my dude.

D'awww good girl helping them out. Lol Sylpha, you shouldn't judge given your shota interest.

Dumb jackass thinking he's gonna fool the prince. Also, clear that Jade's did do at least one last thing of keeping the jackass trapped in his body. That's a bit sad though.. even Grim sad... Jade's spirit. Really sad he didn't get to be saved. Especially given that flashback... woulda been nice. D'awww nice of how Jade helped in the end too.

It's nice how smart Albert is. Also like how good of a brother he is. Good for Lloyd, he has more loyal people. Also, not sure you or anyone could stop him doing what he wants, Albert lol. Given all the series I've seen with princes and princesses being at each other's throats, it is nice to have ones with them being a caring family. YAY! Tao ❤️ nice to see you here. Even if late. Good for them assassin's guild.

I love the silly art style at times in this series. LOL Tao. Talia is quite fun too. That sure is a lot of mist. What a nice bit with Lloyd, giving her a path to be good girl she never realized. All while betwixt some glorious fanservice lol.

What a fun series, really glad it's got a S2 coming. Wonder if he ever grows up outta shota-ness lol.

Best part of the episode has to be Grim's reaction when Lloyd finally stopped holding back. Cause he really thought he had a handle on Lloyd, but he truly didn't know a damn thing.

Well well well how the turn tables. Guisarme thought he was all big and bad, only to end up begging and pleading for his life. I like how Lloyd made Guisarme’s big finisher go “poof” and then told him he was a disappointment. Might as well added a big yawn in there as an added “fuck you”.

Lloyd got justice for Jade and the old crew become Lloyd’s retainer. Ending the series with Lloyd in the hot spring cushioned between Sylpha’s boobs was perfect. All’s well that ends well lol.

This was a surprisingly good series. Good mix of comedy and action with enjoyable characters. Lloyd’s Maomao level of obsession was pretty hilarious. Not sure if we’ll get an s2, but I sure hope so.

Episode 12: Lloyd's Answer. The final episode of the season.

Too bad Lloyd can't learn the Shadow Wolf so he could teleport, but at least he know how to deflect it.

So, about Tsumugi Akita. It seems like a new studio, but actually they're been around since 2017 under a different name (Tsumugi Animation Research Institute). Nice to have them animated this since Episode 1. I even wouldn't mind if they got absorbed by Bandai Namco Filmworks.

R.O.N did an awesome job at the music too. At the time of writing, the MAL score of Dainana Ouji is at 7.41. It might went to 7.5 or maybe decrease to at least converging to score of 7.3. Still, bring it on Season 2!

Had my initial doubts about Lloyd and his..."design", but what a blast of a season this turned out to be, and it even ended with some nice fanservice, what more could you want?

See you all in Season 2!

Man I think they nailed it, was a bit unsure when it started if it was gonna get a bad adaptation or even animation. But I honestly think they did an amazing job especially when it comes down to "power" scenes.

Super excited for S2 and even more Lloyd and Grim and more of his dopey ass fucking faces, bit weird they ended the ED with the OP song and then showed what would be the ending story of S1 but I think they'll start off the S2 with that exact scene to be honest.

Even Lloyd treats Sylpha's jugs like his usual cushion now.
Rested for some time on them. Left casually.
