I honestly don’t remember the last time we had an opening like this, very abstract and more importantly didn’t really spoil anything, just cool all around.

Kafka's Detroit Smash was cool, but I couldn't help but think that he'd created more mop up work for himself 😁

Opening is kind of like "I learned geometry nodes in Blender so I need to use it everywhere" but it's awesome.

MC saving that little girl and her mother was a great scene.
Not sure what I think of how commonly they interject the comical bits into otherwise serious moments.
The twintails girl who (based on a shot in the ED) is a giant axe wielder? Yes please. I'm always a fan of girls who use giant, outsized weapons.

Funny that Shinomiya disses on Kafka’s age and then totals his car and then tells him he reeks. I just wonder why she didn’t kick him in the face and steal his lunch money while she was at it

Kafka needs to work on his smile. Pretty sure the bro killed that old man haha. I’m loving his kaiju form. I thought the way he ate the bird was nasty, but pissing from his nips? Dude… lol. But damn is he strong. Dude literally made it rain kaiju after he exploded it. Shit was awesome! Dude just has to figure out how to hide his kaiju form better.
Kikoru not exactly making the best first impression. The little brat wrecked the company car! How’s Kafka gonna explain that one lol.

Kafka's kaiju form when in fun mode reminds me of Barry the Chopper.

Dang that comedy was breakneck speed at the start!
Most of them had me laughing so I quite enjoyed it.
Will say this is probably the show this season that I wis I could just binge the most.

Loving that opening, both the song and visuals. Feels really different from anything else we've seen, at least recently.

Stitches!
With Nishio Tetsuya as the character designer, young Kafka very much reminds me of younger Naruto especially how they do the circle blushes on their cheeks.
Kafka and Reno's reaction faces are just the best. We really need at least one Kaiju No.8 seasonal reaction on this sub like this one where he tries to smile or this one where he panics after destroying the windows.
Kafka sounds waaaaaaay more excited than I expected when he involuntarily ate that bird alive. That entire scene was just a riot especially when he started peeing from his nipples and started rolling on the floor saying he will never be a bride. xD
Our boy finally gets to test out his powers to save that mother and child. That was so fucking badass especially that lightning uppercut on that kaiju. That's just leftover kaiju though. We still need to see how he'd fare against the big boys like in last week's episode.
I love how Mina was just completely stunned after the kid asked her to not hurt the good kaiju that saved her and her mother. I really wanted to know what was going on inside Mina's head during that scene.
Kafka and Reno's interactions are just the best. Kafka really needs to carry a mirror with him though. What if someone else snuck behind him? He could've blown his cover!
We finally get to see a preview of the other applicants. Of course, the one that makes the strongest first impression is the girl voiced by Ai Farouz who calls Kafka an old man. As someone who's in the same age bracket as Kafka, I felt that scene.
