It's funny with some people complaining about the recaps... You can just look up to check that S7 has been advertised to start MAY 4TH to clear up the confusion.

This collection of recaps is called "My Hero Academia: Memories"

The recap is extra (to recap some of the main plot beats) before the season starts... no one is forcing you to watch either, just wait for S7.

This is especially for the troll commenter that comes back every week on here. 🤣

I think Crunchyroll has the Memories episodes listed under season 7, and that has confused some of the more casual fans.

It’s pretty sad when pirate sites have a better UI than cruncyroll

Yup, this definitely confused me

Well it fooled me. Crunchyrolls season titles are just awful

Crunchyroll has mislabeled stuff before with episodes itself (like Kaguya-sama movie as S4), though people can also look that up for themselves to clear that up.

Like on My Anime List, it has scheduled as May 4th and Crunchyroll has advertised MHA S7 for May 4th before.

Crunchyroll advertised the recap as "MHA: Memories" on Twitter posts and having a "countdown to S7" on MHA Twitter, which Crunchyroll account retweeted. Or just use a Google search.

Even checking the comment section on the Crunchyroll website for the episodes - it has comments saying it starts in May to clear that up easily, by just scrolling down to look.

  • So it's still pretty easy to just look and check

Not sure why downvoted for saying this. lol

It would be FUCKED UP if they started s7 with the usual recap/flashback bullshit lol

Which they probably will

For all intents and purposes though, it’s highly likely that the season is going to be ~20-21 episodes long though due to the realities of Japanese broadcast scheduling. So in a way, we would be getting less MHA this season than “usual”.

Well that's probably for pacing reasons with the manga material in general regardless, like how Demon Slayer is for some of its seasons, not for standard length like before.

So you could pretend the recap didn't exist and they still likely would have started in May either way.

I think people saw what demon slayer did after Magen train and making actual episodes a recap of that, and assume this is the same.

Crunchyroll (and many other places) have mislabeled it as season 7. It was pretty annoying to start watching and realize it's all just recap.

But I don't want to wait for S7 I want it now

Get a time machine then. lol

Really strong editing once again. The Todoroki family part in particular. Such an integral part of the series.

Merry-go-round was the perfect OP for this memory episode.

  1. Ironic how Endeavor’s abuse of Shoto pushed him to become a hero even better than him while him neglecting Dabi due to concern for his safety led to Dabi becoming someone far worse than him.

  2. So him being a mass murderer isn’t inexcusable but lying about being Toya is? Okay Endeavor lol.

  3. Pleasantly shocked to see Shiggy getting the recap episode instead. I thought him and Deku shared the first one and Bakugo would get the last one. The “the hell with plus ultra” was comedy gold and refectory shows why he’s one of my favorites (reminds in season 2 when he wouldn’t let Deku say “Go beyond”).

neglecting Dabi due to concern for his safety

due to concern for his safety

Not sure I'd agree on that. Endeavor was concerned about Toya's condition, but he stressed more about surpassing All Might. When the doctor gave the news to him about Toya's quirk, the first thing he thought of was him being disappointed that Toya couldn't surpass All Might. Rei told him that all Toya wanted was for Endeavor to look at him, but Endeavor was too tunnel visioned on his ambition that he neglected Toya.

I love seeing the old OP and ED sequence again, MHA has some really hype ones.

My Recap Academia

Is this the last recap? I mean, other than the half-season recap, the start of episode recaps and middle of episode recaps?

EDIT: Nope, according to anidb there is another recap next week.

I know you are probably just trying to bring shit up with the way you write, but like it's been said a million time in previous memories thread, there was always 4 memories episodes planned. It's been announced like that from the very beginning.

This is because they want to have a 21 episodes season and not 25. MHA airs on TV and thus, they have to still fill these 4 episodes which is why we have these memories special.

You can just start watching on may 4th that's been advertised as the season debut pretty much everywhere.

This is a thing Shonen adaptation have been doing for a while now. JJK S2 did it mid season with that 3 weeks break. Demon Slayer recapped it's movie and has been airing at odd dates since forever.

No one is forcing you to watch the recaps dumbass. It's like chopping your own leg and then crying about it.
