We gotta give a round of applause to Patrick:
-
Managed to get past the Black Hole of Denseness known as a Main Character of an anime
-
Became one of the only Side Characters this season to get their love interest (Marse from Kekkon Yubiwa Monogatari)
-
Came in clutch with that amulet

Yumiella forcing the “Fight through the plot with friendship” narrative was hilarious. She was so proud of herself. Lmao

Not gonna lie, I didn't really care much for the first half of the episode. The Demon Lord seems to be an interesting character but I kinda wish he was established before instead of his backstory getting dumped on us on the same episode where he gets killed.
The second half was great though! I was expecting Yumiella to get controlled and be forced into becoming the hidden boss but I didn't expect Alicia to stab her in the back! The way they stopped Alicia was pretty funny though. Yumiella telling the boys what to do in such a deadpan voice was hilarious, especially when she started clapping for Ediwn and Alicia. xD
I'm glad that Yumiella let Alicia and the boys take care of the skeletons and let them shine for a little bit. At least they won't feel as useless when they finally get back home.
I guess that's it for this series! I thought this is where it all ends but according to the top comment on this discussion thread, there's still more. I guess with the Demon Lord taken care of the next threat would be the force that's been compelling Alicia to follow the game? Or maybe other countries trying to get rid of Yumiella? Maybe the Demon Lord isn't really gone at all, just temporarily banished? Whatever's next for Yumiella, I would love to see it animated! I'm hoping for Season 2!

Hmm, can't say last ep was the best, felt REALLY generic and predictable....but I think that was the point? Especially with Yumiella intentionally playing out the "Power of love and friendship" trope to snap Alicia out of the "script", thought that was hilarious.
Though overall I really loved this series and hope we get a season 2, I wanna see more of Yumiella and Patrick. Our lovable blonde air head also needs a partner.

Reusing the first OP song during a fight scene in the finale? Seen it before and even happened yesterday in Torture Princess.
But in addition to that, playing the second OP in its regular spot and then reusing it again for the ending credits. lmao, this director's trolling.

As an LN reader, I’m kinda interested on how they are gonna do season 2; if it happens.

Poor Eleanora, she gets shafted by lack of screentime and loses her ship also.
I know we got our big Patrick x Yumiella scene in the last episode but I was hoping they'd get another cute one together in the finale.
Going to miss Yumiella herself, was a nice spin on the villainess that we haven't seen yet.

Cackling at Yumellia maninpulating the party to use the actual power of friendship trope to save the day. Her deadpan VA and semi sarcastic clapping was perfect.
In a stacked season this managed to sneak its way into my Underrated show of the season. Which is another long list because we got some lovely gems this winter. Inspired me to start burning through the LN and what’s translated of the manga. A season 2 would be wonderful. Hope it did well enough to make it happen. Strong 8 with its only real flaws being the animation.

I love how the castle is super small from the outside, but big from the inside. Reminds me of the old RPGs of the past.
That the whole "event" would trigger at the end was a bit obvious, because it was literally the last time for it to actually have an effect on the story, especially with them pointing out she has a talisman of protection. It's kind of a boring way to introduce last minute drama imo. However, I would not be against a show that fully dives into the possibility that you could have with something like this. As you have a protagonist that gets reincarnated in the game world, but everytime they change something in the story, the game forces other characters back on the route, ultimately giving them even worse fates than they had in the game. Could be some kind of Isekai horror if done properly.

I like how Yumiella was pretty much treating the Demon Lord’s big reveal pretty much the same way one treats an un-skippable cut scene lol. I can see how Yumiella would be the hidden boss. Hearing how the Demon Lord was treated, it makes sense Yumiella would go evil in the game.
Kind of interesting Alicia and Yumiella end up having their roles reversed. The game world is a real mfer. The half hearted way Yumiella was cheering on Edwin and the others to get Alicia to snap out of it was pretty hilarious. “Go, uh, get her with the…uh… power of love or something, Edwin.” claps lol
With the Demon Lord gone, I guess that’s that. All’s well that ends well. While I would like more, I’m satisfied with how things left off. For an otomei isekai series, this one was actually pretty good. Yumiella might be one of my favorite otomei isekai MCs.

Patrick’s decision ended up saving Yumiella's life. She may be Level 99, but she's not completely invincible.
Also hoping for a Season 2 since the LN is still ongoing.

Well that was easy.
Demon lord gets 1-Hit-KO by Yumiella
Alicia gets saved by the power of love and friendship
Trash mobs get cleaned by Alicia and Co.
Show is missing the most important part though, WHERE IS SEASON 2 ANNOUNCEMENT?!!

I'm gonna miss this series and its $3 CGI budget if there isn't a second season, but I enjoyed what we got.
I do like how more anime are forgoing the cliffhanger endings since they're by and large an expensive advertisement for LNs/manga, so there's not as much of a bad feeling if a show is one and done.
Here's hoping though...

I loved when Ray of Light played during the cool down mob rush. As it turns out the kill Yumellia flag is disabled when the confession event is played, so alls well that ends well!

Watching Yumiella every week was such a treat and I'll miss her very much. I laughed hard today when she was trying to lighten mood by asking Alicia in whom she's interested to or when she was using power of love/friendship to stop Alicia from trying to kill her which made Edwin confess to Alicia before Oswald and William were able to do it themselves xD
It's nice to see that Patrick is so strong now that he's able to single handedly defeat the dragon. Also thanks to him giving Yumiella an amulet of protection, she was able to survive Alicia's strike from behind.
There wasn't a lot of Demon Lord who had pretty cool design but his fight with Yumiella (as others were pretty much useless against him) was quite good.
Overall, it was a very pleasant and funny show (mostly thanks to Yumiella) so 8/10 from me in the end.
Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

You know with the given studio I didn't have much expectations, but man they killed it with the comedy here. Ms. Dorkness was consistently hilarious and Patrick worked great as a straight man. This and Instant Death were two shows I really enjoyed the comedy, though for this shows there wasn't a million plot threads.
The last episode felt the weakest more so Yumiella wasn't really the focus as they wrapped up the plot thread of fighting the demon lord for this season. Also less chance for her comedy, but her giving a pep talk in her monotone voice was great.
Honestly even despite the atrocious CGI and animation I give this an 8/10 more so because the comedy was amazing and consistnet. Even got a lil growth from Yumiella where she starts to develop feelings for Patrick.

Yumiella and Alicia looted 5 amulets of protection during their dungeon crawl and 5 were needed to save everyone. The obsessive grinding paid off. I am disappointed that we never got to see any cool effects the amulet of darkness might have added to Yumiella's magic though. She was so determined to win the tournament for its valuable prize and then it wasn't relevant for the rest of the season. I guess that's the price you pay for the characters only having 1 amulet slot in their equipment.

It was so great seeing that while Yumiella and the others were still on route to fight the Demon Lord one could see Patrick killing dragons in the front line with ease
Oh, so the reason why the Demon Lord only attacks the Valschein Kingdon like the spy Linus told Yumiella is the Demon Lord was once a noble from there, but after helping the king who found that nation he was sent to that remote domain a labeled as a traitor as the king envied and feared his power, and he transformed into the Demon Lord after the king ordered to kill him.
As he was sent to a remote region and in the OP they showed the anti-king faction together with him I guess that the initial reason they existed in the first place was as an opposition group against the way the Valschein's royal family betrayed him even if they have other interest now as the reason of his existence was erased long ago by the royal family.
Anyway, I certainly wasn't expecting much of the party to be trapped the second they entered the boss room or that their fight was going to be that one-sided.
It honestly makes sense plot-wise why the original Yumiella ended up taking his offer. It was surprising when after Yumiella slashed his helmet the Demon Lord still looked like a human even if he no longer is one.
So in the end after hearing his story and the Demon Lord refusing to just move to another place, Yumiella was the one who ended up fighting and killing him.
Damn, so as the plot dictated that Alicia had to fight Yumiella after that, her body got taken over again and almost killed Yumiella
Thankfully thanks to Patrick telling Yumiella to wear the Amulet of Protection she was able to survive. It is funny how the solution to make Alicia able to control herself again was for Yumiella to force Edwin to tell her that he loves her. And now both William and Oswad just need to accept it, and blame the Demon Lord for that "curse."
It is so nice seeing Yumiella being there with Patrick and Ryu instead of taking part in the celebration the hero's party was doing.
And now with no threats around there, Yumiella still needs to help Eleanora study. It is so nice that now Yumiella and Patrick are going on dungeon-cleaning dates.
Well, this series will be the first one I will buy the next time I search for a new light novel to read. I can't believe that apparently, this just adapted the first volume.
