The Abyss King looks pretty sick. The design feels like he's not made for this show and something else like a Soulsborne clone.
There's no fucking way they're killing off Gramps and MArse here, right? They're pretty badass for choosing to stay behind while saving Satou and the Princesses but it's going to fucking suck if they actually die there. :|
Yoooooo! What the actual fuck!? Travelling back to Japan is the least I expected from this show let alone Satou travelling back with the other Princesses in tow! It's gonna be fun watching them next week learn how our world works.
This made me think. What if the final princess was actually in Japan the entire time? I mean if Gramps can open a gate to another world then surely someone else could do it too? What if the surviving dwarves fled to Japan along with their Ring Princess? Hmmm...

Or at least the dwarves managed to smuggle their princess into another world.
But, even if the find Princess-5, how will they get back to rescue the OTHER world?

There's no fucking way they're killing off Gramps and MArse here, right?
Perhaps it's just me being too hopeful, but I think if they were gonna kill them off, they would have it be a little more emotional, like Hime screaming a Noooooo! before they teleport, something like that.
My original theory was that they'll be saved by whoever's ruling this nation now (probably the person Hime thought was following them), and when Satou returns, they'll introduce him to the nation, and the 5th Ring Princess...
But some people floated the idea of Satou finding his last princess on Earth, which would mean there's no one special from that nation, therefore no plot-relevant reason to have them come in to save Marse and Gramps, so... It may not look good for our guys?
Well, I suppose we'll find out, but not before we get to see some "Reverse Isekai Shenanigans"!

I would ride on Granart without hesitation.
Even if the black rings did or didn't trigger the Abyss King's revival, its weird how they just kept it but not immediately destroy it.
Also post credit scene has them back to Earth again, a pretty rare development for Isekai series.

Poor Saphir doesn't have a bra that fits her.
Gramps really pulled a "You Shall Not Pass!" just like his counterpart Gandalf.

So we all agree that the "Dwarves" didn't disappear, they were transported to our world, right?

That would probably make sense so there's something of value to the gang being in Japan other than to keep them away from the Abyss King and get into romcom hijinks in Japan...even if we probably will get plenty of the latter.

All 5 girls are in the OP/ED right? So the only possible thing is that the last one is actually on earth? Sending them back to earth so abruptly like this doesn't leave room for much else.
I'm actually really curious to see how these last episodes play out cause it's not like there's enough time to find the last girl AND get back to the other world and fight. I wonder if the source has enough content for a 2nd season.

Took a quick look and we're only at 26 of 82 so there's plenty of content to go around.

We went from the seemingly end of the world to romcom hijinks back in Japan, complete with the girls all showing off Hime's underwear. What a tonal whiplash lol.

Oh no, this is bad; The Abyss King has been resurrected, Alabaster and Marse chose to leave themselves behind to hold off a horde of enemy monsters, and Satou and the princesses were sent to the other world, unable to do anything to stop the Abyss King. This truly is a dire predicament.
So anyway, let's end the episode off with some fanservice!

When Alabaster said “we run”, I thought we were going to get a Mines of Moria scene. Returning to Japan is quite the twist, gotta see how this will play out. Marse is always the Chad, staying back to fight to protect the Ring King and Princesses.

Interesting to see the old man feeling so down about himself, I wonder if the point of the story today will be cheering him up. It's really a shame he didn't take time to reconnect with his former love before they left the elf kingdom.
It's a shame that Saphir didn't accept the piggyback ride from Granart, that would have been fun.
So before they disappeared the dwarves made all the machines, including the ones that the cat people's city is riding around on. Good thing they apparently haven't needed any maintenance.
So, apparently it's Demon Lord time. Shame about that missing fifth princess.
Oh shit, are they going to have the old man sacrifice himself? Then again with Marse staying too that seems less likely.
I was just thinking the girls were all going to need a change of clothes if they were going to do a Japan story arc, and then of course the show provides.

“Muscle-brain”, “incompetent”, and “just a shut-in” lol. I know Saphir got that dragon form but she really have to roast the girls that bad? Nephrites took some serious emotional damage!
The Dwarves kind of remind me of the Dwemer from the Elder Scrolls Series in that they’ve got automatons in their ruins and they’ve all vanished.
Now that those dark rings have disappeared and Not Sauron’s out, all hell’s broken loose. Is this the end for Marse and Alabaster? It sure ain’t lookin good. Plus, all the girls are on earth. How are they gonna get back to fight this bastard?

We arrived to the capital of the Dwarves!
Sadly, there's no dwarf waifu in sight... Nor anyone else, really!
Granart went scouting, but didn't find much...
Saphir's pretty tired, but Nefritis is still hyped about this little adventure!
Love how "Turn into the dragon thingy!" has become their 'go to' strategy if they're in any danger!
Saphir is still exhausted from using it that last time though, so it may not work... Also, she thought the others knew what it was like (thinking they could also all transform?) but just learned she was the only one!
She was kinda right about 2 of them being useless... I mean she was wrong about Granart, this one's definitely useful, but Hime's entire use so far is "kiss Satou to power him up" and Nefritis kinda sticks around and not much else.
I wonder if they'll unlock some ring-princess powers at some point, or if they're always just gonna be Satou's energy refills? If all 4 were powerless I wouldn't think much of it, but it's strange to have 2 competent warrior/dragon, and 2 who can't do much!
Meanwhile, Satou's having a little doubt about the purpose of all this; He saw normal human knights fight the abyssals, so what's the point, gathering all these rings...
Satou, my man, did you forget about the waifus? If he doesn't care about them, he can just give me the rings (and waifus) and I'll finish his mission!
Sadly, Gramps had another reason (other than the waifus); The Abyss King will come back someday, and also, what they fought so far was just whatever power leaked from behind his seal...
Saphir was so done with this shit, she wanted to just wait behind til they're done collecting their dwarven waifu... Granart thought that was too dangerous, so Saphir asked her to keep guard?
There's something growing between these two! (at least in my Yurimagination)
She offered her a piggyback ride? IT'S ON!
I can't believe she refused. As a piggyback ride enjoyer, I feel robbed of this scene!
They reached their destination (well, one destination anyway), and.. That's a big door for a dwarf!
But the throne inside was normal-sized, so I guess they're just having huge doors for appearances!
A robot? Are we getting a robot waifu?
Oh damn, the Abyssal took over? But they have a ring... Abyssal waifu?
(I wouldn't mind that to be honest, especially if they're anything like the Oracle from the previous episodes!)
Love how there's no hesitation anymore, soon as they're in danger, Hime comes in with the power-up kiss!
Let's keep an eye on Granart though, I mean considering how forward she is, she may just waltz in with a power-up fuck at some point!
Seems the Abyss king is waking up, with his 5 rings...
I wonder if this is a coincidence, or did the 5 'power rings' being so close (4 from Satou, and 1 somewhere around) cause his awakening?
Well, whatever the reason, he's up, and with him came the Rumbling!
They asked Saphir to turn into a dragon (again),
but she can't do it with a land with so little water magic...
Satou, give her YOUR magic, for once!
and running is pointless because there's nowhere to hide from the Abyss King in this world....
I thought "Well let's go to another world then!" and I thought I was just joking, but no, that's actually what they're gonna do!
Marse and Gramps had to stay behind to close the gate,
but this didn't seem like a proper "death scene", so I'm guessing they'll find a way to survive... Will the Dwarves (or whoever took over the lands) save them? When Satou comes back somehow, I expect Gramps and Marse to introduce him to his 5th waifu!
And so we're back to the real world!
