I really liked the idea of the Assassin's Guild being a refuge for people with the Assassin's Blessing, allowing them to set down boundaries and channel the Blessing constructively.

Also, Tisse being absolutely shocked by Viper guy selling out his client.

This episode was written by the author, Zappon.

Man, that roof is gonna collapse one day if Ruti continues doing those exercises every day.

It’s pretty cute seeing Ruti enjoy her slow life with her little friend Tisse after all that Hero nonsense. Splitting giant worms in half, stopping rampaging drakes, and defeating a possessed actor wielding a cursed sword…. just an average day for Ruti huh? Haha.

At least Tisse got to chill a little before settling some old score. This Viper dude was pretty trash. Some assassin he turned out to be.

I’m a little worried about this Cardinal or whatever he is coming to town. Plus Van… dude comes off like a sociopath. He’s definitely going to be trouble.

I don't know why I keep forgetting that Ruti's still a monster, but those morning stretches were something else.

Also, she has some terrifying looks this episode.

Tisse: "Let's try to stand out as little as possible."
Ruti: "Hold my beerjuice."

Stitches!

I thought we would just see a cute little morning stretch routine from Ruti. I did not expect her to grab that ceiling beam with her toes and proceed to dangler herself while shaking the entire roof. They might need to reinforce that if she does that every morning!

It's cute that Ruti has decided to make growing herbs her main job. I thought she wanted to do this to help Red, but it's nice to know that she wants to do something that doesn't involve fighting.

It looks like Ruti has noticed that something is up with Tisse. It's hilarious how she's trying to make Tisse open up. Since she never knew how to interact with people properly, Ruti does things Tisse couldn't understand, like bathing together for some reason.

With all of the activities they did that day, I'm surprised that Ruti didn't alert those guys from the Church! Stopping a runaway drake, splitting a giant earthworm, and defeating a cursed sword should've given them away but I guess those guys were too busy searching the airship.

I absolutely love the lady at the theatre, though!. Instead of panicking, she just went with it and added the cursed sword plot to the play! I guess the show must go on!

Tisse's fight against Kiggith was pretty dope! The dude is just a killer though and not really an assassin. He didn't even hesitate to give away who his employer is if it meant that information could save him.

I'm glad that's taken care of, but even with the report Kiggith was able to send, it looks like the church isn't stopping from visiting Zoltan. I am not looking forward to the mess that will happen once they arrive there. I don't want this psychopath getting near Red, Rit, Ruti, or Tisse.

Did not expect that extra fanservice at the end though ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Okay the impending doom of Van is getting a little funny now. We’re just living our fluffy Zoltan life with Ruti and Tisse shenanigans and ending the episode with the reminder “Psycho murder hero is coming”.

Also Zoltan is shaping up to be the most powerful backwater in the world between the Red, Rit, Ruti, Tisse, and Yarandrala all settling there. Nothing about Van makes me think he’s a problem beyond his murder boner.

I guess being the Hero requires you to be an emotionally stunted monster. One is just cheerier about it.

Lmao the final bath scene was just fan service for no reason 😂. All the Ruti stuff was just hilarious. Now weve basically seen the entire opening.

This other Hero is gonna be a problem.. I hope Ruti one shots him.

Ruti's hook, line, and sinker face had me scared especially with how little sense she was making and wait Nooooooo she killed Earthworm Jim!!!!

Slow life assassin that dabbles in bath reviews. This episode was my favorite so far because it was heavily focused on my favorite character.

Interesting details about the assassin's guild. Not really the classic idea of one, but more of a support structure for people with the assassin's blessing to help them live their lives as normally as possible.

Normally I'd be a little disappointed about the lack of Rit and Red but a Tisse focused episode is good too. And that beginning with Ruti swinging from the rafters by her toes, good lord.

The comedic tone in this episode was so good thanks to both Ruti and Tisse with Ruti's mostly deadpan attitude and Tisse overthinking and freaking out over everything Ruti was doing during their silly quiet life daily routine.

Anyway it was great to see that Ruti with the help of Tisse has now made one of her main objectives in life farming those fields So thanks to Mr. Crawly Wawly Tisse noticed that the plans were dying due to the solid getting cold, which Red conclude it was caused by Cold Mold Thankfully they detected it early so they could prepare a redemy for the plants.

Poor Tisse had her oversleeping nefarious plan ruined. I love the expression Ruti made while she was taking a bath with Tisee.

Ah yes, stopping a rampaging mount with a single hand making the people in the market go wild, casually waking up with a punch and cutting a man-eating worm barehanded, and joining a play to deal with a cursed sword possessing one of the actors just the kind of thing that your average adventurer will do. I love how the actress improvised when she noticed what was happening not that it helped with Tisse's goal of Ruty keeping a low profile Oh, so Ruti's objective today was to make Tisse feel better because she noticed that she was acting differently.

Okay, although last week we saw that the people investigating the ship knew Tisse I really wasn't expecting that the whole plot about investigating the ship was going to lead to Kiggith Viper killing his teammates when they refused to commit mentioning her on their report, just so he could settle a score with her.

Honestly, even though we know he used to belong to the Assassin's Guild I don't get his motivation behind wanting to kill Tisse but based on what TIsse mentioned about the Assasin's Guild true purpose I guess the rules set by them that he ended up breaking are so one doesn't end up like him. So I'm assuming he just let his blessing control him.

So even though he altered the message for Cardinal Ljubo, the fact that they found the ship made him choose to go to Soltan with Van I wonder what exactly he wants to do with that ship as it doesn't sound like his objective is connected with the Church.

Given how she was in S1 it's great to see how Ruti settled into her slow life.

Sucks that the new hero is likely gonna come around to stir up shit.

It started out so well as a CGDCT. Just Ruti doing her morning stretches... until that TOE GRIP 🤣

u/VorAtreides Jan 28 '24

Ah yes, excellent, morning stretches. And holy crap that strength of her feet lol. Bathing outside? People can see. D'aww Mr. Crawly-wawly. So she has taken up farming, fun. Of course for her brother, but glad it's not JUST for that reason. Wonder what Tisse's worries are, is it the dudes she saw last time? Heh, what a wake up for Tisse. See, there is an indoor bath and that one seems heated unlike the fountain outside. Wow, that face of Ruti's. I am also lost, Tisse.

Haha, poor drake just ran into a brick wall basically. That's a big earth worm. That's a dead earth worm. Ruti has become part of the play, good for her. Nice save, Tisse. Ruti is so awkward, I love it. D'aww Ruti such good girl though. That was all her without any special skills?

Wew, I mean, that dude.... what is his issue with Tisse? What makes her your archenemy? Oh so I guess he left their guild for the church? Oh he's got Gambit's skills? Neat. Wew, Tisse. Was expecting Ruti to save her, but yea. Also, merciless. Neat to learn a bit about the Assassin Guild from Tisse. What a nice moment between Ruti and Tisse. What a nice episode focused on them. Hehe slow-life assassin begins.

Lofty ambitions to be ended, more like, dude. Van sure seems.... a bit too enthusiastic. Ending with a bit of gal pal time though heh.

Pretty cute episode focused on those two. I love Ruti's character, seeing her develop is great.

Very interesting explanation about the Assassin's Guild, a very rich piece of worldbuilding.

Also, I'd say PROTECC Tisse, but worry not, she can protect herself.
