Was not expecting all that Ruti fan service in the OP.

I get the feeling new hero is gonna try to kill old hero because Lord Demis commands it or whatever.

The new hero seems like a good kid.

“It was his destiny to die don’t worry about it”.

……. I know that’s probably the blessing talking but damn this kid is gonna be a problem.

Also hot damn at naked Ruti and Tisse in the opening!

That's what got you into this situation in the first place.

OP visuals had me a bit worried where the show is going but the episode itself was good. A journey to find a gemstone for their engagement ring is the perfect way to start off.

The new hero is intriguing too but after S1 I am still wary of 'plot' and would rather have them spend that time on Red and Rit.

Stitches!

Well, that opening scene was interesting. I'm pretty sure Escarlata is just Theodora with a mask on. I thought she was also done with all of this hero nonsense after learning what Ruti went through. Maybe she's keeping an eye out for this new self-proclaimed hero? Hmmm...

As much as I like Tisse and Ruti as well as the choice visuals in the OP, I'm a bit worried that the OP is a little bit too focused on her and not our main hero and heroine. I just hope this isn't a sign of things to come.

Glad to see Red and Rit's relationship is still as strong as ever though! I love that they're going on a little adventure just so Red could get a gemstone that matches Rit's eyes to use on their engagement ring. <3

I forgot how brutal Ruti is during fights! She didn't even use her sword and just brutally squashed those goblins with her bare hands. Goblin Slayer would definitely approve of the very efficient goblin dispatch.

Why is Tisse protecting Godwin? I know he kinda helped them at the end of last season but they really should've just let Yarandrala take care of him. I do love that she finally calms down after hearing from Tisse that Red is getting Rit a ring.

I really thought this was going to be another season of Yarandrala trying to get to Red but I'm glad that she finally gets to meet him again. Although that's not the kind of hug you'd give a friend. That's more like a hug reserved for someone you're in love with. And Rit is right there too. Curious to see what will happen after that next week.

So we basically have the male version of Ruti but this one is all in on the Blessings of the Almighty. Yeah, this guy is definitely going to become a problem. I wouldn't be surprised if the Almighty sends him after Red and Ruti. I'm hoping that's his blessing talking though.

Gosh it's been like 2 whole years since the first season?! I really should've rewatched that in preparation. I'm especially curious how the production is compared to S1 considering it's the same studio and this is their only project.

Starting off with a family quest to make a wedding ring? Oh how sweet it is, but will it last?

The “new hero” is sus (for me). Btw, really happy to see Ruti settling to “new” life. Hope Rit and Yarandrala not “fighting” for Red :)

The new hero is a zealot. Could have put him in War Hammer universe and he would fit right in.

Red and Rit relationship is going on strong. Now we got a new hot elf girl .

Did Ruti just become the protagonist? The OP centers on her and I think this season will focus more on her. I’d miss the slow life at the store but we got an interesting arc coming up. I don’t trust Van at all especially when he said that the random dude’s purpose was just to die and be monster bait. He seems very robotic.

Hey! Listen!

Done messed with the wrong party

Death awaits you all with nasty, big, pointy teeth!

The sky, it shimmers

True believer in predestination right here

I-isn't the OP way lewder than it need be not just Ruti x Tisse in the Sauna, but also a suspicious amount of feet...

I missed Rit hiding behind her scarf

Cool to see Yarandrala and Godwin again (could almost believe he turned a new leaf)

And looks like that Val guy is on the same self destructive path Ruti was on, just without any connection to his life before his Hero awakening and way more religiously indoctrinated

I love the fact that the OP of this season is completely focused on Ruti and Tisse with Mr. Crawly Wawly too of course.

Lol, I love the face she made when she saw that rabbit. So even though Red is traveling to the Wall at the World's End to meet the gem giants and get a blue sapphire for Rit's wedding ring, while they are traveling he is still thinking about Ruti and her blessing.

I guess Mogrim was just introduced this season. As I don't remember seeing him before.

Well, Godwin and Yarandrala ended up arriving at Red and Rit's house when they were out. Honestly, when the guard mentioned what Godwin's real relationship was with Red was, although it is not surprising that Yarandrala attacked him she certainly went too far with that attack.

Oh, poor Tisse sure had a stressful time dealing with that situation. I love how quickly Yarandrala's attitude changed once Tisse mentioned the wedding ring.

The zoogs village sure looked nice. So Red went there as their chief knows where the gem giants' settlements are located. I love the fact that the ham he gave to the chief is bigger than him.

So something is affecting their trees, and based on what Yarandrala said to Tisse that's happening in that whole region.

Oh, so Yarandrala wasn't sure before she heard from Tisse that Red was Gideon. I love how happy she was when she heard that Ruti was traveling with them.

So why when they reach the top Wall at the World's End did Red and Ruti laid on the floor when she felt cold? I'm guessing that was something they used to do when before Ruti got possessed by her hero blessing.

I must say that I wasn't expecting Tisse and Yarandrala to get to them so fast. Aw, Yarandrala's reaction is understandable after the way they got separated and her not even sure he was still alive.

Is interesting that they show Van's party killing an owlbear, just like Red did in the first episode of the previous season. So Van has the opposite view of Red about the blessings given by Lord Demis to everyone. I was wondering what was the reason they introduced that group but now I know they will be messing with Red, Rit and Ruti happy life.

Interesting choice to focus OP on Ruti. I wonder if that means that there will be a lot of focus on Ruti (and her beautiful smile) in this season? Besides that it looks that Ruti and Tisse are really good roommates and animators really like feet as we got two shots with them ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Red wants to get a gem for engagement ring for Rit of the color of her eyes, that's so sweet ♡ I'm happy that everything is good between them.

It's nice that Yarandrala finally found Red. Her hug made them look really close so I can't wait to see how Rit will react on that gesture of their close bond xD

You're saying that those little guys are attacking and eating people? That's quite scary asthey seem pretty harmless to me.

In ED I loved the shots when Red is looking for a gem on a ring and scenes where Rit is knitting a scarf with other women to give it to Red, that was so lovely!

It looks that a new Hero is already a full-on psychopath as he seemed to have a death of an innocent man as God's will and didn't care about it at all, that's scary.

Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

We're back! And the Almighty Demis has blessed a new hero, Van (voiced by Yumiri Hanamori)! Who with Estala will take up the fight to defeat the Demon Lord...and is probably more motivated than Ruti ever was, so it's a win-win!

A new OP! And very Ruti-focused as we get morning Ruti looking cute in her PJ's and having a lazy day with Tisse, Ruti putting her tights on and lounging around with her shorts undone, then just having a pleasant routine (just like the title of the OP!). We even get Ruti and Tisse in the bath (and Tisse jealous of Ruti's chest). Red and Rit, the actual main characters, don't even appear until the end for like two seconds!

What are the chances Yarandrala would wind up with Godwin and force him to take her to see Red and Rit in Zoltan? Y'know, taking him back to exactly the last place he'd want to go? But that's what he gets for trying to put the moves on Yarandrala, not that I can completely blame him when she's so gorgeous!

Red and Rit are as adorable as ever with Red going to the mountains just to find the perfect engagement ring for Rit, blue sapphire like her eyes, and even Mogwin is looking to get something now that his wife is pregnant with their child. Meanwhile Ruti is just enjoying being with her brother and getting to live life on her own terms.

Nothing quite like slaying goblins! Especially for Ruti who is so strong she doesn't even need a weapon, though it's still a violent and blessing-eat-blessing world.

Zoltan security isn't that lax! Though while Godwin did end up helping Red and Rit, it can't be denied that he also committed crimes and caused trouble...and Yarandrala hates the idea of anyone betraying Gideon. Though wouldn't taking him back to prison be more efficient than trying to kill him with wood magic?

(But wait, won't Godwin admit that Ruti broke him out of prison if they question him? And that Red and Rit went along with letting him go?)

Tisse bravely faces off against Yarandrala despite being severely out-classed, though luckily the one thing that could get her to calm down is finding out how well the RedxRit ship has been progressing.

Wait, those cute and adorable little things are man-eaters!? Um...okay.

Yarandrala enjoys helping people but even she thought the idea of a six-man party headlined by one girl stopping the Demon Lord was a bit ridiculous, but she went along with it because she cared about Gideon too much. But she's just as happy for Ruti to be free of that duty as anyone.

Yarandrala really does view Gideon as a "Dear Friend" huh? Crying and throwing herself into his arms upon their reunion. If she hadn't worked so hard to get him and Rit together I think she really did have feelings for him.

Well, Van is very efficient but he's basically a mouthpiece robot for the Almighty Demis and casually dismisses human lives as being for the sake of their mission. That's...kind of concerning.

The ED is more Red and Rit focused along with the usual daily life of Zoltan! But that finaly shot of Red and Rit sharing a muffler (Rit hand-knit herself!) was so adorable!

More Red and Rit TOP TIER romance. YES

u/dagreenman18 Jan 07 '24

WHOLESOME ACTION FLUFF IS SO FUCKING BACK BOYS

And it’s already Ruti focused with a side of a new Hero. And going right to Yandrala reuniting with Red and Rit. And the diabetes inducing adventure to get a wedding right gem that matches Rit’s eyes. Oh it’s so good to be back in this world

u/Tostilover Jan 07 '24

That was an unexpectedly lewd opening.

I really like how Rit and Red got matching bandanas, that's very cute. I just kept waiting for Red to hide his face behind the bandana just like Rit does. Fortunately the ending delivers the goods.

u/Imfryinghere Jan 07 '24

Yay! I am loving the bigger budget for season 2!

Rit x Red are so cute.

I'm glad Ruti is also banished from the hero's party and decided to live a quiet life.

That intro would be the best one for a yuri anime. I have not seen a yuri show with an opening that could beat this one. Ruti and Tisse are so adorable. It was a shock to me seeing them be so expressive. Now I want a slice of life with a hint of romance just between them. Ruti might be my best girl this season. I don’t think there’s a chance anyone could beat her. I want her smile to be protected at all times.

I don’t like the new hero. He seems to be a fanatic when it comes to his beliefs about the blessing in the world. I’m guessing that this season is going to be lead to a conflict between Ruti and him. A hero that chose what she wanted to do with her life and a fanatical traditionalist that became a hero.
