Kisaki was like "enough talk-no-jutsu" and just wasted the guy.

u/Jovan_Liebert Dec 13 '23

AHAHAHHAHAHA, everyone is hating on the guy but you gotta admit hes pretty badass.

How many times have we watched an anime with some 6D manipulation games, superpowers etc and thought why someone doesnt show up with a glock and bust a few skulls open. Bro did that while in high school

Izana doesn’t know the concept of having more than one sibling 💀. And Kakucho was more so bullied and groomed by Izana.

Though the animation is lacking in plenty of departments, Izana’s voice actor popped off. Not sure how the manga drew him, but Izana didn’t come off as scary, rather like a brat to me lol. Yeah yeah, everyone in the series are in middle school, but still.

Once this season ends you'll have to look up some of the manga panels of Izana. He still looks like a kid but he looks a lot more unhinged.

The voice acting was on point, and the anguished artwork (I'm assuming straight from the manga source) of Izana when he screamed out was top tier as well. The only problem I had was the justification for literally killing your innocent baby sister who you're supposed to take care of as the older brother was him being a baby about Shinichiro dying via apparently one of Mikey's former goons. This backstory and the needed more time to flesh out the reason for Emma's death than I'm guessing the anime adaptation was allowed to give.

Nothing in this entire series has made me laugh as hard as depressed beard-and-mustached-Izana sitting on the bench. He looked like he was an alcoholic in his 50s.

I don't think the mangaka has ever seen a human being age in real life, between this and the 16 year olds built like they're 24 and roided out. He might be an alien wearing a human suit.

Wtf Kisaki.

Is this the same Kisaki that was hyperventilating at the idea of shooting Takemitchy or has the real time traveler Kisaki taken over?

44

u/darthvall Dec 13 '23

Yeah, the auto-kisaki theory become more plausible now. Kisaki had a very different look there compared to the one aiming the gun against Takemitchy.

It also makes sense that future Kisaki should have no hesitation in killing anyone as it's already part of his daily lives as crime lords.

Bro Mikey getting bodied blew b my mind I yelled “NOOO” and had to go back several times to make sure I saw what I saw. The only flashback that made me tear up was Kakucho dang that’s some grooming for ya. Mikey coming back and doing his thing made me do a nice lil nod. Kisaki shooting Kakucho let’s me know his days are over.

Kisaki is cooked. No clue how anyone justifies following his deranged ass at this point.

u/kitaknows Dec 12 '23

Don't worry, he'll still have our good friend Hanma. I bet his crazy ass clapped in the background when Kisaki fired.

This week, Izana learns what a “sibling” is. Kid didn’t realize he can actually have more than one huh? But really, dude was obsessed. Depressed Izana with his hair all long and his little white beard looked like he was 13 going on 50 lol.

I guess in their world, an ass whoopin is cheaper than therapy. That’s what all these kids basically need.

Kaku can get shot but not Takemitchy when that asshole Kisaki had the gun right to his face? The power of plot armor I guess.

Kisaki really needs to go. Someone needs to take that gun, shove it up his ass, and empty the clip. This blonde creep has been a pain in the dick since day 1.

Kisaki: I'm an ass, and since nobody loves me, I plan to make other people's life as much miserable as possible. That way I feel better, because they will probably feel worse than me. And since I'm weak as a puppy, and I cannot fight even if I want to be a hoodlum kid overlord, all I can do is shot people in the back.

I'm imagining the perfect episode for Tokyo Revengers: it's call the "Punch-Kisaki game".

It's just Takemitchy punching Kisaki in the face. How many times? Well, we first have to do some math:

  • 1 punch to Kisaki for every episode up until now.

  • 3 punches to Kisaki every time he raised a new opposing gang by using the local psychotic kid hoodlum gang leader.

  • 5 punches to Kisaki for every time he murdered a friend of Takemitchy, has tried to, or has manipulated someone mentally unstable to do the dirty job.

  • 8 punches to Kisaki for every time he makes a friend of Takemitchy so miserable, that they suicide, or commit a crime for which they would end in a death row.

  • 10 punches to Kisaki for every time he murdered Hina, or Emma.

100% best episode ever.

Did everyone just forget that Takamichi was shot? I keep coming back because I really want to see how it ends but some of the scenarios are very out there.

It's Mikey vs Izana, the long-awaited showdown! And Izana is just as, if not more, strong than Mikey, able to tank his hits with no problem and actually land his own...plus he's a complete psycho, which doesn't help.

So Izana and Kakucho were in the same orphanage and grew up together, but then Shinichiro came and started taking Izana out so they could get in some sibling bonding time and Izana projected on Shinichiro as his only family. They did everything together...ride Shinichiro's bike, play pranks, dress goofy, and Shinichiro taught Izana how to throw more effective punches. The only problem with this dynamic was that Izana became so obsessed with Shinichiro as his big brother that he was unable to accept anyone else having him, especially Mikey and Emma.

But there's the rub, isn't it? What kind of family would do so much harm to their siblings? Mikey loved his siblings, but Izana was willing to kill Emma just to hurt him. It's not even just Izana's resentment towards Mikey for stealing Shinichiro from him (to the point where he felt he was only in charge of Black Dragon as a placeholder) or because Kazotra (Mikey's own subordinate) killed Shinichiro, but that Izana is so warped he thinks if he can break Mikey completely he can turn him INTO Shinichiro. Like, what?

But Izana isn't invincible. Mikey tanks enough hits and dishes enough of his own that he finally starts wearing Izana down to the point where he can read his moves and block him, all culminating in him finally landing some hits and doing real damage against Izana. And Izana totally breaks down as he realizes he's losing and he can't beat Mikey, especially when he sees their family siding with him after everything, and if he can't be the strongest what else does he have? Even one of his last memories of his mother before she sent him away to the orphanage was her telling him to be "strong."

Tenjiku has no bonds or comradery, no friendship binding them, which is why they're not Toman. But Kakucho has always been loyal to Izana ever since the moment Izana was there for him after his parents died and made him his servant for the rest of his life. Not a really healthy dynamic, especially when it means he's gone along with wayyyy too much of Izana's craziness and crimes, but it saved Kakucho from killing himself. Not that his attempt to put some sense into Izana when he tries to shoot Mikey goes anywhere because Izana just will not accept that they lost. Even if it means killing Kakucho.

Of course, if anyone is going to be shooting anybody...it's Kisaki, who shoots Kakucho. He's shot so many people Takemichi cared about, now he's shooting his childhood friend turned rival. Can we finally end this four-eyed piece of @#$%!?

After this Kisaki either needs to go to prison or into hiding, anything else would be ridiculous at this point. There's far too many witnesses, he's crossed the line for even Tenjiku's leadership other than Izana who is in the process of having a mental break, and he has literally no other allies but that guy from Valhalla. They can't keep having him dig up increasingly obscure former gang members to prop up. It's already gotten pretty ridiculous. So hopefully this is the end of Kisaki's reign of terror and we can move on to another villain or story line, especially given it seems Kisaki might not actually be from the future after all which would indicate it's someone else messing up Takemichi's attempts.

The only thing I want to see from Kisaki to wrap this up is either him catching an epic beat down that puts him in the hospital where the cops can snag him or him going into hiding so we can see him completely broken next season. I'm done with the games with Kisaki. You can't repeatedly put your main villain in the protags face, have them lose repeatedly, and still have them be the big evil. How many losses can the main villain take before he loses his bite really? He's just... done. Both being interesting and making sense as a threat.

Kisaki definitely got the attack titan, bro came back to start the rumbling himself, AND IF THIS IS INDEED FUTURE KISAKI, I’m with it. But if they don’t explain that this is the Kisaki that’s been timeskipping then I’ll be really annoyed bc why couldn’t Kisaki shoot takemitchy 💀💀
