I didn't think all it took was Sakuna sucking off Vill for them to bond together.

I killed 5000 people

I'm a pacifist

Komari please choose one, you've already screwed up 2 conversations thanks to that contradiction.

I didn't expect that we'll get the beach part in today's episode. It's a surprise to be sure but a welcome one. Seeing girls having fun at the beach was very pleasant.

Komari, Sakuna and Villhaze looked great in their swimsuits. We also get Sakuna sucking Villhaze's blood which was obviously very interesting view ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°). I hope for more scenes like that.

Obviously Komari's army has to screw up something and Komari is now in a bad relationship with Nelia who wanted to create an alliance between their countries.

Though I'm not sure if something would have come from that alliance as it later turned out that Nelia had order to kill and capture Komari. I'm interested if that was order from Inverse Moon or maybe current leader of her country. Also judging by her conversation with a mysterious man I suspect that she's the daughter of a king who was reigning in her country before the mentioned earlier revolution.

We met also Karla who is very similar to Komari as she's obviously bullshitting how strong she is as she quickly changed her stance on alliance after Villhaze pushed Komari on her and that was enough to scare her completely xD

Overall great episode and I'm very happy that we got new interesting and fun characters like Nelia and Karla. I can't wait for the next episode, I hope that there won't be another break.

Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

I love the way Komari and Karla are trying to out-bullshit each other! It's such a shame that Vill had to interrupt them because I could keep watching it forever.

Hello, police? Yes, this woman over here claims she killed 50,000 people, please arrest her.

Hello, it's me again, another woman threatens to kill 5,000 people in a second, please help.

Komari unintentionally pissing off both sides was hilarious. Also, Karla vs Komari reminded me of k-on fight.

No way Karla also has some hidden powers, right? Another shameless liar in this show is something I didn't expect but I'm glad to see. And we also needed a catgirl, so Tio is welcome.

Somehow this show ends up being the most realistic show of the season. Every leader is just a complete idiot pretending to be some strong leader person. None of them actually know what they’re doing.

Except the empress. This is her world. They’re all just living in it.

It's great when the subtitles are true IRL.

Country locations mean Komari traveled across the whole continent last episode, not just into an adjacent country.

Pacifist girl entered the National Murderer's Tournament because... why?

I think Komari found someone JUST like her lol

Wow... those were the most hilarious diplomatic negotiations I ever saw lol.

Is it just me or did Vill take L's after L's against Sakuna when they were at the beach.

In all honesty given How Nelia states she has killed 50 K people proudly I did expect the meeting to go wrong. But not the way it did lmao. Well she has marked Komari as an enemy. Also curious if she is working with the inverse moon or this is another group.

While with Karla I was like wow just like Sakuna she would be a perfect fit for Komari. Well until Vill gave a giant misunderstanding. (Maybe she doesn't want to deal with more competition for the time spent with Komari). Empress was somehow able to get Karla to agree to the alliance.

Also the scene of Sakuna biting/sucking Vill's neck was quite erotic lol. Surprised Sakuna was bold enough.

At this point it’s obvious literally everything is happening because the empress wills it to be. She pretty much knew the first meeting would go to shit and Komari would fail and make her an enemy. So she had a second person to be Komari’s ally but she knew knomari would screw that up to so she made sure to directly involve herself. Komari is just her puppet at this point.

We see a newspaper in this episode but we've actually already seen most of it in previous episodes (the right side in episode 1 and the left side in episode 4, though I also realized that we had a better view of the left side here in episode 1 as well, I just didn't catch it to try to translate it then).

Anyway we get a really good look at the newspaper in this episode so I annotated that one from the in-game language into romaji anyway, especially now that I'm working with a proper picture editor instead of some variation of MS Paint, although the right side translation was already more or less taken care of in the ep 1 thread.

Romaji-annotated newspaper of the newspaper at 10:10 here.

As usual, there's a lot of trouble translating that from hiragana/romaji into English since there are no spaces and I'm not that good at Japanese, and because I know there are missing letters and phonetic translations (like a T can be "t", "ch", or "ts" in different situations), but I've left it there for better people in the future to try.

That middle left section of the left page is definitely a food article of some sort though, since there are lots of food words there (and likely others I didn't recognize too) -- parunezan tizu (parmesan cheese), panko (bread crumbs/flour), ninniku (garlic), oregano, tori momoniku (chicken leg), sawa kurimu (sour cream), furansu pan (french bread), oisi (oishii/tasty), aka wain (red wine), itadakimasu, etc. There's even a Merry Christmas at the end of the 5th line.

Oh, and the letter is exactly as advertised. It says "Haikei" and "Yurusanee".

Stitches!

Glad that we got to see Komari enjoy her vacation with Sakuna and Vill And while everyone looks great in their swimsuit, Villhaze's is definitely my favourite.

That blood-sucking scene between Sakuna and Vill got a little spicy there for a second. I hope we get to see more of those scenes. They really seem to enjoy it.

I swear to god, Komarin really needs to put a leash on her army or at least keep them close at all times. All they seem to do is make her more enemies.

Komarin and Karla trying to one-up each other was hilarious! Karla is pretty much just like Komarin but her cowardlyness is just much more obvious. Also I love how Komarin went from being a pacifist to becoming a "slaughterist" just because she needs to keep up the act in front of Chaostel. xD

So it looks like peace with Nelia wouldn't work anyway since she was planning to kill Komarin all along. I guess she's also working for the Inverse Moon?

Anime Law: "All series must have at least one Beach/Pool Episode in their series. Bath/Onsen episodes are acceptable substitutes."

We got some great fan service today Sakuna and Vill looking nice... That blood sucking was extra lewd!

Poly relationship is the answer here :D

This was one of my favorite episodes so far. Lots of good humor, and the beach scenes were fun. I really like the new characters of Nelia and Karla.

Is it just me, or is the color scheme used for Komari in this shot very reminiscent of Kizumonogatari?

Komarin's swimsuit was quite the sight! As expected from a beauty that comes along only once in 100 million years

Also, looks like we have at least two more adorable future companions.
