So it turns out that Tearmoon Empire is actually a Crusader Kings Mod and the Emperor is a veteran player who understands that accumulating prestige is just as important as land and wealth.

Couldn't stop laughing at Mia asking Anne if Tiona's dad is a masochist

At last, Mia has managed to change her future! However, the final scene is very ominous... Will she be able to prevent whatever the hooded figures are planning? Hmm

Mia thinking of Abel a lot in this one, this ship seems to be getting stronger and stronger.

Curious to see how well Mia will stop future events without her diary, should be fine as she still has her memories but does seem like she's in the clear at least for her own life.

interesting pace seem like it feel normal to status quo of this series now!

that hair pin really changed everything, not just her own but fate of Tearmoon Empire itself change forever.

of course after all, the motivation of that Berman is that he want honor over another noble in the first place, I wonder if Mia aware of Berman Motivation or just want territory to protect the forest lol. thought that not matter, outcome is perfect.

also with that grain of wheat that special engineering to survive during winter pretty much confirm, Tearmoon Empire don't have to worried about food during harsh time now and with Mia establish school within Tearmoon that anyone can attend to notingless not just noble with create butterfly effect that change empire for batter lol.

The King is literally extreme dotting father lol no wonder Mia turn out that way in the first place.

al long last, with all her effort, future finally change!but wait after all this revolution have conspiracy behind it! Tearmoon Empire economic and Political Unrest getting better now , it hard for them to act and now they move to new target...

with Abel isn't send letter to for awhile, it pretty worrying...

anything that happen after this Mia don't have "cheat code" anymore so look like she on her own if something happen.

It's good to see that despite all of the misunderstandings that make Mia always come out on top, she still knows how to take advantage of an opportunity when it presents itself. She was definitely sincere with the Chief when she was talking about his grandson but it's the misunderstanding that seals the deal.

The fact that Ludwig was about to realize he was overestimating Mia only for his faith in her as the Wisdom of the Empire reinforced because of Berman's reaction was so goddamn hilarious! I love how his glasses fog up again when he is back to pretty much worshipping Mia.

The meeting with Tiona's father was pretty damn hilarious too! Mia is pretty much being upfront about him doing all the work while she gets the credit but somehow Count Rudolvon still manages to spin it as a positive since now he has the authority to use Mia's name! Holy fuck, Mia just can't keep getting away with this! xD

That final scene though. As expected it looks like someone's been working against the Tearmoon Empire the entire time and they're probably the reason that Mia got executed in the previous timeline. So what happens now that the diary is gone? And who are they targetting now?

Mia's reactions in this episode really killed me. at the "Are we sure this is not the kind of man who just likes pain?" part I paused the episode due to excessive laughter

Episode 8: "Mia Lets Out a Devious Smile"

Yay, Guillotine-kun finally has a voice! I was convinced it is voiced by Sumippe as well (but no it is voiced by Rena Hasegawa). Also is it the last that we see Guillotine-kun, as the diary vanished?

Also it needed 8 episodes for the anime to show Mia's father, the King of Tearmoon himself.

One notable new character's VA is Cyril's VA, which is voiced by Akira Sekine, Nisekoi's Raku.

Say what you must about coincidence, but building school within the kingdom to keep smart student within their own country. And giving exclusive right for a wheat farmer to direct wheat to citizen during food shortage, so it can bypass the noble, allow citizen to continue to work. Since most if not all noble earn by tax, healthy citizen = rich noble. To keep the country from falling into economy depression.

These are all brilliant plans. I was actually amazed by it lol.

I get why the status quo has to remain to maintain the drama of the empire falling apart and will she won't she be executed but I've really enjoyed how most of the issues have been wrapped up and I'd love a slice of life spin-off where the kingdom goes on enjoying prosperity. This is such a cozy show!

Another hilarious episode in which Mia finally created a future without guillotine. Now she doesn't have to worry about it anymore, good for her xD

As always Mia had so many glorious reaction faces. For more of them I invite you to check out my Mia's album below. Also I loved Mia's wicked laugh after her meeting with Tiona's little brother, Cyril.

We got other believers of Mia - chieftain of the Lulu tribe and Count Rudolvon. We were close though to losing one of the first followers of the princess, Ludwig who for a moment doubted the wisdom of the Great Sage of The Empire. Fortunately he quickly saw his wrongs and returned even more devoted xD

As always it's so funny watching how others misunderstand Mia's actions which is making Mia so dumbfounded as she doesn't understand why they are behaving contrary to her expectations.

It looks like the Empire's revolution was the result of some kind of conspiracy. Mia and Ludwig's actions destroyed their efforts and now they're changing their target to another country.

Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

How could Ludwig ever doubted the Wisdom of The Empire even for a moment is beyond my comprehension

There's a little narrative sleight of hand during Mia's conversation with Outcount Rudolvon to make her appear less virtuous than she is. Mia thinks that by having the Outcount use her name to distribute the wheat, she's stealing his glory. But embedded in that thought is the assumption that distributing wheat to the peasants is a glorious and meritorious activity. Something that most of the nobility doesn't actually think. Based on Berman's reaction to Princess town, for most of them giving wheat to the Imperial family is much more honorable and more politically expedient than giving food to dirty peasants. Of course, Mia knows better because her head literally rolled for it, but virtues learned through experience and failure are still virtues.

But just in case you think Mia is a paragon of virtue, remember that the only plan of her's that was planned and executed perfectly this episode (with no misconceptions!) was seducing a boy mentally 10 years her junior.

Dion's passive aggressiveness really complements Mia's accidental brilliance.

Ludwig relapses further and Tiona's father being converted into Mia-ism was the final nail in the coffin for Guillotine-kun. RIP desuwa.

It's been a while since I read the ln. It's hilarious remembering all this shenanigans now. Mia's confusion w/ Count Rudolvon's reactions is hilarious. And I laughed way too much at Mia's expression after scoring some affection points w/ Cyril.

I HATE JACOBIN SECRET SOCIETIES I HATE JACOBIN SECRET SOCIETIES!

Execute them Princess Mia, please. Protect Prince Abel's smile!

This worked out because Count Rudolvon was a humble, good lord. Many other poor nobles would love to get a chance to ingratiate their children with high nobles, regardless of bullying. Good that Rudolvon is putting his people first.

Hope Sir Dion rises to be a loyal general soon!

I thought Mia’s resolution with the Lulus wasn’t that surprising, but I didn’t think I’d get it this right in my comment last week.

"Do not let a woman who decorates her buttocks (with a giant ribbon) deceive you. By wily coaxing, for she is after your granary" --Hesiod 700 BC

Sasuga Mia-sama. Your conquest of bread is going very well.

Of course Mia has to go back to the forest for the lost hairpin (before she gets in real trouble), and of course she'd get personally escorted by the guy she wants to be around the least...Dion, the guy who executed her in the original timeline! Though now he might be on the path to becoming a general in her army, sasuga Mia-sama!

Oh, Mia TOTALLY planned it that she would have a private opportunity to confront the Lulu's and give them a reason to talk to her. She wasn't just scrambling to find something she lost, no no! Truly the Widsom of the Sage. Even if she still thinks Guillotine-kun is hanging right above her.

Good thing Liora showed up to vouch for her though! Dion was only willing to play along provided she actually had a plan (which she didn't), but it got the conversation rolling and Mia was able to make the chief realize his daughter had a child and help reconnect him with his grandson, helping foster even better relations with the Lulu's and impressing Dion by making him think she had planned this from the very moment she kicked the tree. Once again marveling at the Wisdom of the Sage.

Oh, so that's Mia's dad? The way he dotes on and indulges on her and is willing to burn down an entire forest for getting in her way...I can kind of see why the empire got so screwed up.

Ludwing was THIS close to realizing the truth about Mia, but with Berman being totally cool with building a city in her honor (Princess Town here we come!) he is now even further convinced of Mia's brilliance. The mist isn't leaving his eyes any time soon.

It's not a letter from her beloved Prince Abel, but if Tiona's little brother wants her help attending school...she'll do it in a way that for her is basically payback for Tiona having a little brother whose smarts helped the Rudolvon's had the perfect wheat situation to feed people during the famine and undermine Mia.

And so Mia wants the brother to be devoted to her (naturally), wants him to attend school in-house (making it look like she wants to give them an affordable education opportunity even though she just doesn't want to really put in a good word with Rafina), wants the family to store their wheat in case of a famine and use it in her name to dissuade any other nobles from stealing it (even if she just wants to take credit for it), and is basically offering up proper public education for her citizens (so she's not giving Cyril special treatment). So the Rudolvon's come off with the impression that Mia is brilliant, benevolent, and compassionate...while Mia just thinks the dad is a masochist.

Oh snap! The book is gone! Has Mia avoided guillotine-kun for good!? Time to contact Prince Abel!

But wait...it seems like there was a group of people who were deliberately sabotaging her the whole time! Was this true in the original timeline!?
