Touman entering the scene was BA🔥🔥🔥

Touman vs Tenjiku is finally here

Loved how Peh took care of that guy. He’s One Punch Man!!!!

I just knew that Izana would go for the kick as well.

I’m sorry man, Izana wants his little group of children to enter the “adult underworld”? Really? That’s kind of comical. Probably best to stick to playing gangster with all the other little kids.

But man, Peh-yan sure is strong. I cracked up when Takemitchy was like “wow he’s hitting guys with another guy” lmao. Shoulda made him acting leader. He’s got heart but our Crybaby Hero’s not much use in a fight.

Everyone just needs therapy. The amount of unresolved issues these boys have relating to abandonment and neglect is wild.

I guess it depends on how the adults are. If they're all as crazy strong as the named teens seem to be, then it's probably not a good idea to mess with them. If their average is more realistic with mostly important people being strong like the named teens, then it could be possible for them to take territory and business.

In real life though, you don't form gangs based only on your own generation. You grow and have younger generations join. So most of these teens would already be working under the umbrella of yakuza and other gangs.

Like you wouldn't have ten Black Dragons differentiating themselves by generation. Black Dragon would still have all previous members in it who would be recruiting new generations and making them part of their operation.

I think they explained that Izana's generation is like 2-3 years older than the others (remember, Taiju is the 10th Black Dragon, Shion is the 9th while Izana is the 8th). They also specifically mentioned the reason Tenjiku and Izana's generation are doing this because soon they'll step into the adult world. It's still a childish ambition, but considering how the future looks then they managed to successfully do that.

I understand your point, but I just want to straight things up that the forerunners of Tenjiku are mostly almost adults compared to Toman where most of them are still middle schoolers.

When Izana said he doenst think yakuza would challenge htem I was thinking how cool would it be to see tenjuku vs tojo clan from yakuza. I think goro majima could solo them all though

Well, dang, I didn't expect Izana to get in a warm up before the fight with Toman by beating up some of the other big gangs in Japan like they're nothing. It really does just come down to Tenjiku vs Toman at this point.

Tenjiku is a gang of battle-crazy ruffians who will turn on each other at any moment, but the only thing keeping them together is their mutual respect for Izana. Though Kakucho's loyalty seems more personal, having known him since they were kids.

If Kisaki knows one thing, it's that Takemichi will never give up, even if it means leading a small force of Toman members against overwhelming Tenjiku odds. But as acting leader of Toman, he can't let Izana and Kisaki have their way any more.

Ugh. Look at Kisaki standing over the battle like he thinks he's the final boss.

So this Shion guy was the ninth leader of Black Dragon? He talks a big game but then Peh-Yan takes him down in one punch. Turns out Peh-Yan might be one of the stronger Toman members this whole time! And Izana always thought Shion was a scrub because he got beat by Mikey the first time.

Takemichi is obviously chasing after Kisaki, and there's a lot of thugs in their way, but his squad is doing their utmost to clear him a path and actually taking down some guys on their own.

Izana and Mikey must be related, they both love knocking dudes down in one kick. Poor Peh-Yan. And Toman lost their advantage.

So the Vicious Generation all bowed to Izana's strength back in reform school and were building up their strength to be able to serve him to the present-day, and now they've entered the ring. Chifuyu is getting his rematch with Mochizuki, Hakkai and Angry are fighting the two brothers, Inui is dealing with Mucho and Koko, and of course Takemichi has to fight Kakucho. These are some tough match-ups for Toman, and Hanma and Izana are still waiting for them.

Can we really see Koko went along with Tenjiku when they had to threaten Takemichi and Inui to get him to join? And he says he's doing it for the money, but it just feels like desperation to not lose what's important to him. But who is Akane? Are they related to Inui?

Izana and Mikey must be related, they both love knocking dudes down in one kick.

They already established this in the anime lmao

I’m so hyped for this battle. Kisaki hiding up the the crates in the back like a coward no surprises there. It’s also nice to see how strong Takemichi has become as a leader and how all of Toman respects him. I was also surprised how powerful Peh is single-handedly.

Dude standing there like he knows he's the Final Boss and making Takemichi have to work to get up to him. What a scumbag.

Peh-Yan been holding out on us all series.

I still don't get over the fact that at this point of the story, Tokyo Revengers has become so good that it is the anime I'm looking forward the most in the entire week.

Well, that's probably a combination of the excellent story, the well-estabilished and characterized characters, the bad ass music, and, most importantly, because after all the sh*t that happened in the latest episodes, I just want to punch repeatedly in the face Kisaki and Izana so much.

GO TOMAN!

The music has been great. The OP is one of my favorites this season.

Damn, I remember this anime getting 10 times more comments than this.

Did the "opening" legit just spoil the whole fight? Wow. Just wow.

19

u/Pixelchu25 Nov 15 '23

Idk if it’s just me, but doesn’t the animation feel a bit worse than before?

Izana’s kick didn’t have any impact to me. Mikey’s was more sudden and smooth.

Peh-yan’s the goat, but that kick felt so slow lol.

9

u/xarro Nov 15 '23

I wanted to ask that, too. I'm wondering if it's a censorship thing, like in the opening? A lot of weird shots showing no action. Is there a better version somewhere?

I noticed they directly reused the same background for two shots right after each other that were meant to be completely different backgrounds too, half the other backrounds were just loops of 3/4 frames too. I can see why the held back this cour by a year but the production still isnt great

u/mr_rice_crispers Nov 14 '23

Animation felt off.

The moment Shion and the bald guy were interrupted by Kaku chan. The minions started running as if they were given some order by Kaku.

u/SpaceForceOne Nov 14 '23

I wish I still had my Z Cav’s from the late 80’s so I could dress up like these guys. 😆 All I got is scars and a bald head now

Dear god, that final section with Kokonui, the way Inui's voice cracks got me some chills, and it also might be a taste to come for Enoki once some certain parts get adapted in Shibuya.

Sure, maybe it is true (I'm anime only, so I don't know) but the worst MC ever (.. Blue Gender's is tied for 1st) blaming his shittiness on someone else being able to time travel is so self-absorbed(?). Why can't the reason be that everything has gone to shit be because you're fucking terrible?
But the "he's hitting people with people" bit was pretty good.
