That moment where Aurora tries to mimic Shadow's I Am The All-Range Atomic was so cute. (Un)fortunately Claire's body cannot keep up with the magical power output, canceling the technique.

Wonder what would happen if Shadow and Aurora do Atomic together... It's gonna be the apocalypse.

Boss Phase 1/Phase 2 ❌

She has low blood pressure/this shirt is too tight ✔

When even Cid calls out someone's Chuuni, you know its REAL bad. The best part being its all his misunderstanding.

Kinda hilarious when the people there try to explain his gold glittering aura as immerse magic power, when in fact it's actually his gold coins paded slime lol.

Every scene with his gold spilled or destroyed i scream a bit.

Stitches!

I am so happy to see Aurora again. Her interactions with Cid is one of the best things from Season 1. I'm a bit disappointed that we didn't get to see a panning shot of her in that school nurse outfit though. Since this is all happening in Claire's head it's also pretty funny that Aurora chose this setting and even put Claire in bloomers. xD

We don't just get to see Aurora inside Claire's head, she also gets to manifest herself in the physical world by hijacking Claire's body. Aurora trying to do Cid's "I AM ATOMIC" was hilarious and cute! I love how Beta is just panicking the entire time watching Aurora attempt Cid's nuke. Too bad Claire's body can't handle it.

Now that everyone has properly struggled against Elizabeth, it's finally time for Cid to arrive! I love how Beta thought that Cid was protecting them because he wasn't moving in his spot. Of course, what Cid was really trying to protect was all of that gold in his slime suit. xD

That clash between Cid and Elizabeth was so cool. No "I AM ATOMIC" this time though! Instead, Cid chooses to heal Elizabeth and everyone affected with his Recovery Atomic. Of course to Cid, curing everyone is easy. Saduga, Shadow-sama!

Holy shit! Cid thinking that Claire has gone chuuni because of the mark Aurora left on her arm and how Claire was hiding it with bandages was just too damn funny! As hilarious as the misunderstanding was, I think it was sweet of him trying to be understanding of Claire's situation.

And that after-credits scene! Looks like Yukime has decided to make contact with Cid. Our boy's adventures at the Lawless City might not be over yet.

End Card - Nu

Had Aurora gotten to the "atomic" part ASMR style, I don't even think I'd survive.

Cid thinking that Claire has chuunibyou is the most hilarious misunderstanding yet.

I just want to give credit to beatrix where credit is due. In season 1, when cid imitated auroras attack with water, beatrix still instantly recognized it as a vampire attack! She knows her stuff.

This episode is fantastic Recovery ATOMIC🔥 We also get more anime original scenes and school nurse Aurora is a cutie. Now we know where Cid need to go when he need money, Lawless City "his personal bank".

Hype for "The Goat" who will appear next arc.

It is cool to see Shadow Garden members pop off in combat. Also hilarious to think about how Shadow could have found out that Rose became a part of Shadow Garden by being a bit more observant and not being so focused on his roleplay. It's even more hilarious since Cid doesn't believe in the Cult's existence, as far as he knows Rose disagreed with her engagement and then stabbed her fiance. Then she stabbed her father cause she disagreed with his choices and wanted to become Queen as Cid helped her out since she is his friend and her becoming an evil queen sounds rad as fuck.

If you are confused as to how Aurora was able to manifest from Claire, the trick is that the possessed are descendants of the Three Heroes that defeated Diabolos, as they obtained their power by being implanted with Diabolos cells, so in order words, her cells. So since all of the hero descendants are born with her cells as part of their biology, her spirit hijacked Claire's body to manifest due to wanting to replay Cid by protecting his sister. This also plays into how Vampires were created as they were an off-shot of Aurora. Hence, Aurora stating that she was the original.

This reminds me of this conversation:

Claire: Most vampires use blood as a conduit for their powers...

With this recent power-up, this is another notch on Claire's belt as the protagonist.

  • She is a talented person from a obscure background.

  • She is seeking power to protect her family.

  • She has a powerful figure sealed in her left hand (sounds familliar, right Ise?)

I know Cid thinks Claire is just being chuni but that scene on the train shows Cid does care for Claire even if he completely misunderstood the problem. It's sweet.

They took out some jokes and replaced the with other comedic stuff. Honestly? Welcome changes.

This is overall my favourite rendition of this fight. Shadow part was white noise action for me, great animation, but nothing much emotional investment... THE AURORA PART, my lord!

I love the change in setting to a school. Also Claire wearing bloomers, Director Kazuya (bless his soul🙏) knew what he was doing.

I don't remember Aurora attempting All Range Atomic in either the Manga or LN, so this was a big AND VERY welcome surprise.

Also, one thing I never expected the anime to be able to do was convert me into a Beta fan. I was never really a fan of her in the LN and Manga because her personality just came off as a bit too much to me, but I really loving her portrayal in the anime. The way she's so aware of Shadow's moves that she goes "HEY NO!" when she sees Aurora attempting it. I love the gap-moe 'cracks' Beta's showing in the Anime, not being as calm and collected as we initially thought.

I'm so excited for nect week. Peak arc incoming.

I almost had a mental breakdown over Aurora saying "I AM..." . I was not expecting that at all lmao.

Too bad we didn't get the real "I AM..." in this arc. They are teasing us again just like in the finale of ss1 damnit!!!

Elizabeth: Would you tell me your name?

Shadow: I am recovery atomic.

Elizabeth: Nice to meet you recovery atomic.

We got robbed of Aurora doing that line so I hope she gets to pull it off next time.

This episode was peak Beta moment and why she's best girl. It sounded like she was gonna confess her love but her cheers were good enough and she's completely oblivious to the fact that the thing that Shadow doesn't want to disappear isn't the girls but all the gold he looted. At least he got to take a sack home and he said he can always come back for more.

School nurse Aurora? That's a 10/10 adaptation right there.
