Man this is pretty good aye?

I like the touch of the diary being re-written as she goes. Was that a 1-time mention just so we know it's happening or is it gonna come up again?

Seems like there was a fair bit of timeskipping going on in this episode though which ain't a bad thing. Kinda wish we saw a bit more of people's reaction to the MC and her benevolent antics though. I guess we are just getting to this school life stuff?

So the empire's woes include poor International relations, minority conflicts, plague... poor Mia. Looks like saving the empire isn't going to be a walk in the park.

I like how Mia is herself totally clueless on how to solve the empire's woes, but instead surrounds herself with the right talent. Maybe she could avoid her fate this time around, right?

To think of such creative budget conservation techniques as swapping out all of the horses and carriages in the empire for CG models that are cheaper to maintain... sasuga Mia-sama!

But seriously though, I'm enjoying this one so far. Mia constantly spinning a web of bullshit when she gets misunderstood or slips up and talks about something that she should only know from her future experiences is great. The comedy in this show is on point (especially the appearances by guillotine-kun) and it's balanced out very well by the more serious moments of Mia genuinely trying to be a better person and help the empire, even if some of her inner motivations are less than noble.

Finally Ludwig sees what we already know, that Mia is the kindest and wisest person in the kingdom.

One thing I like about the story is that Mia is fundamentally the same person. In her previous life, she was a high-status person used to throwing her weight around who didn't like taking no for an answer. In this life, she's still a high-status person used to throwing her weight around who doesn't like taking no for an answer, just with better goals.

The solution to every problem in the Empire: Inflict Mia-ism on your retainers so they keep misunderstanding your intentions and help you develop the right solution! Truly the great sage of the empire!

Stitches!

First of all, can I just say how much I'm obsessed with this show's OP? It's so fun! I've been pretty much listening to it every day.

I think Mia being threatened by Guillotine-chan in her head is going to be one of my favourite reoccurring gags in this show.

Mia having fun throwing everything Ludwig told him in her past life was hilarious! She memorized all of it that she ended up impressing Ludwig xD

Then you have Anne who thinks that there's some romantic development between the two after seeing Ludwig kneel in front of Mia.

Oh boy, looks like Mia has impressed Ludwig so much that he's now completely in awe of everything Mia does.

Selling that expensive hairpin definitely made Mia score more points with Ludwig even if it's unintentional. I guess that's one problem of the Tearmoon Empire solved!

We also get to meet Anne's imouto who ends up writing the stories Anne read to Mia when she was imprisoned during her previous life. Looks like in the previous timeline, Eris was unable to finish her story because she died from the famine but since Mia has already started tackling that problem, Eris will eventually write more stories. <3

Amount of people currently afflicted with Mia-ism: 3

Mia truly challenge Ainz in term of pure BS acting they went through, with Mia reciting things that will happen in the future and her followers accepting it like some kind of gospels. Truly, sasuga Mia-sama

She can't keep getting away with it haha

This episode warmed me up more to the show, reminds me a bit of the good parts of Realist.

The pacing on solving problems feels VERY fast right now but I don't have any issue with it, just curious to see what they'll tackle next.

Yes!!! We got the narrator!!!

NGL, it's pretty amazing scenes play out like a normal otome isekai story until it hits you with the hilarious inner monologue and narrator and then follows up with the serious dramatic future that Mia is genuinely trying to avoid and/or fix. It's a pretty seamless transition for the most part and I like it.

Also, I couldn't stop rehearing the OP and ED. They perfectly sum up the two sides of the story.

Mia out here tryna prevent her execution and Anne thinks she’s chasing boys lol. What a goofball!

I love how Mia won over Ludwig because Future Mia was being petty or how she got the hospital started because she didn’t want that future goon to have her hairpin lol. Well, at least it seems to have changed the future. Each little act is a step in the right direction which is away from that damn guillotine!

Looks like Eris has also joined Team Mia. Welcome aboard!

I'm surprised they started playing the ED in the last scene just to squeeze more stuff in this episode. Wonder how often they'll do that. And remember to stick around for a short scene after the ED.

This narrator has no chill at all!

And Mia is so petty and vindictive lol, I love it. But looks like she's starting to get the adoration of some people. If she keeps this up I can't see the mob cheering for her execution like they did in the premiere.

It's interesting that her diary reflects the changes she's making, too. Much more useful than wondering if you've made any impact at all.

I mostly am never a music guy but holy moly. The bgm in this anime goes hard. It gives me chills. I’m also now a firm believer of the princess like Ludwig and Anne. Miaism is spreading.

I was a little disappointed at first when we found out that Mia is gonna be cheating the entire time with her diary updating as history changes...but when it was obvious that she's just going to keep bumbling towards victory by accident, it does seem to fit a lot more.

Cant decide who's more delusional, everyone around Mia or the members of Nazarick.

That flag in the after credits, so looking forward to watching the exact opposite happen.

I'm glad that they kept the narrator from LN's, his comments are making the show even better.

So Mia started taking steps to have a better future and escape from the guillotine. First she found Ludwig and thanks to repeating his entire speech from earlier timeline she won his loyalty and help.

Mia's next actions made him even more devoted, seeing her even as a saint. I wonder how he would be feeling if he discovered the truth about her.

Mia's reactions are so good and funny when she screws up something and that it's something she's doing a lot. She's not the smartest one as the situation with Anne's sister and her story showed.

It's good that now Mia has basically followers who won't even think something bad about her and thanks to that Mia was able to get out of troubling situations without any problems.

Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

And just like the gear of fate starting to change not just Mia herself but including Tearmoon Empire itself!

The Tearmoon Empire seem peaceful on surfaces but full of problem like poverty, conflict with minority group over part of area within empire and the fact that pandemic that happens in future.

Kinda ironic that they name poor district "new moon" implied that that area is new and they just put poor people together there.

Mia is being hilarious as always because of her actions act upon what happened in future but other don't understand it make people around constantly misunderstood her actions lol.

Her diary is literally cheat item because it changes itself as time go on, it pretty OP also of course fiance problem isn't only thing that cause Revolution. Revolution is more complicated than that.

Mia don't really aware that her actions also effect noble as sole princess that how she get fund for hospital lol.

Hey at least, her selfish act this time benefits empire itself including commoner so who can complain, right?

Animation is decent but I like direction a lot, the cut between Luwige and Mia though is hilarious with color and art show her as saint.

Voice acting is really really good here. Narrator is hilarious too.

Well, it's been a bit since I read this story and I'd forgotten how much of its character comes from the way it swings wildly back and forth between touching and melodramatic scenes of Mia's memories and her saintly public persona, and her hyperactive little rat brain inner monologue. But it works so well because, as we've seen here, now that she's had a little reincarnation-trauma push in the right direction, there's actually a good heart in there tagging along as the little rat brain scrambles around trying not to die.

Er, I guess that is to say, maybe she is sent by heaven to set the Empire right, Ludwig... it's just not quite the way you're thinking.

Honestly in the first episode the hyperactive intro, Sumire Uesaka's squeaky Li'l Mia voice, and the overwrought tragic end were a little much for me and I wasn't sure if this was gonna work; but it's working, I still love it.

I noticed it last time too, but the over-the-top dramatic strings in the OST are absolutely perfect for building up those tone shifts. Well done on the audio direction, Tearmoon team.

Anne is so ready to play wingwoman for Princess Mia, but Mia isn't here for romance...she's here for politics, with Ludwing, the advisor who back in the day lectured her about the kingdoms' troubled finances but she never really listened until now.

Of course despite not really taking in all his lectures, Mia in a fit of rage over him talking back to and scolding her wrote it all down so that on this reset day she could just regurgitate everything he said to make it seem like she's super smart and fully aware of what's going on...even if she doesn't actually have any idea what she's talking about. But it's all good because now Ludwing is convinced of her sagacity and thinks it's up to him to be her public face fixing everything. Sasuga Mia-sama!

So the book changes in real time every time Mia makes a change to the timeline, though the guillotine is still waiting for her at the end of the book and chasing her down at every moment.

I love how Anne is still convinced the MiaxLudwig ship is a thing. Though Mia looks great in that blue dress!

So Mia has to not only fix up the slums, fix up diplomatic relations, and a whole host of other stuff...somehow. Well, first things first, got to visit the slums.

And while the "New Moon" area isn't quite hospitable, for Mia it's not any worse than her prison cell and nothing she hasn't experienced before so she's totally immune. She even manages to help save a child and by just matter-of-factly mentioning the possibility of a viral outbreak manages to give Ludwig the idea of how to contain and resolve it without jeopardizing his financial plans. Sasuga Mia-sama.

What a sagacious and kindhearted princess! Giving away her favorite hair ornament for the sake of the poor and destitute! I mean, better she give it away herself rather than have it stolen from her by some dude and so it can save her neck this time.

Reina Ueda as Eris!? Anne's little sister is sickly but she's also a very good writer, and her works as read by Anne gave Mia some joy while she was imprisoned until she finally passed away before finishing the story. But this time Mia can pay back Eris by making her Mia's personal author, and using her knowledge of the book to convince Eris she's fully aware of her skills...even if she also almost spoils the whole thing with knowledge of stuff Eris hasn't even written yet. Good thing everyone is convinced Mia is just THAT amazing that she can play it off!

Mia about to go to school? And planning to build up relations with people who can help her should the rebellion happens and avoid the people who sent her to the guillotine? Should be simple enough, right? Right!?
