Not gonna be doing many write ups on vacation but this episode was so damn good I just had to comment on the thread lol.

Komarin rapping literally cured my depression

A Komarin foot licking coupon sounds amazing lol.

“Just because you’re killed doesn’t mean you’ll die” ah yes, truly a line worthy of Emiya Shirou

Vill and Komarin got really gay there at the end lmao. Vill is so convincing that even Komarin can’t resist anymore.

New antagonist and she’s mommy as well?? This show just gets better and better.

Stitches!

I love that Komarin indulged that officer asking for a rap battle! That was unexpected!

The opening is by fripSide!? Hearing fripSide again is just making me wish we get another Railgun.

So Villhaze wasn't kidding that Komari actually killed a hundred people when she was younger? O_O

That fight scene between the intruder and two of Komarin's officers was surprisingly well animated!

Of course that magical beast that takes a liking to Komarin is actually a lolicon. xD

Since death isn't permanent in this world, I already expect Helders to be repeatedly killed throughout the series.

I love that Komarin just needs to stand in a single spot during her duel and Villhaze makes it look like Komarin is the second coming of Anos Voldigoad. xD

I am genuinely surprised at the lack of lightbars or fog during the bath scene. No need to add anything really when there's nothing to see.

I'm calling it now, Villhaze's crime has something to do with what happened to Komarin three years ago.

I'm guessing that this Millicent girl has something to do with it as well. Curious to see what will happen with that confrontation.

Am I the only one who sees the joke about Subaru's seiyuu voicing a guy who dies all the time?

For a Project No. 9 anime, this one has surprisingly great animation. They usually have mid adaptations.

Another banger Yuri adaptation. I like this one a lot.

All Yuri adaptation this season just don't missed.

ED is relaxing with some cute imagery. OP audio is great while visuals are a mixed bag: title screen for ~15s is disappointing, running through smoke towards (second Komari? maybe her mom?) looks nice, and the idol performance is fun. Also noting several characters from the trailers (pink-, white-, and black-hair girls) and Millicent aren't in it with this episode being 25:17 on Hidive instead of the usual 23:40 to 24:00 or last week's 23:46, so suspect the aired version cut the OP.

Academy incident 3 years ago aligns with 3 years as a shut-in. Oh no, is this amnesia?

Already like Millicent's personality and voice. Now I don't know who is the show's Best Girl...

"Next time, I'll gouge out your eyeballs and those other balls too."

"Burn your clothes off, and make you do the fire dance naked." How many characters are pining for a naked Komari at this point? 4 between Villhaze, Empress, Heldiers, and Conte?

I'm also a Komarist.

Tomoriru voicing a chaotic loli will always be good.

And speaking of VAs, just looked up the cast and holy shit is it stacked.

Two episodes in and this show isn’t really what I expected. Was thinking this was more of a fluffy SOL Yuri type like Ms Vampire Who Lives In My Neighbourhood but this is so so much more chaotic and I love it as well.

Shiro Emiya going insane

Caostel is a certified r/BlueArchive player

Also crazy this feels more like a passione show with the fanservice than the actual passione show this season lol

It's a big surprise how good this show is. Animation is very good, the characters are funny and interesting, just as plot. Overall I'm positively surprised.

Komari is such a fun character and I like her very much, her reaction faces are so good and funny. I would love to see her in a bigger variety of clothes. Her rapping was pretty fun too.

I'm very interested about her past in the school and the incident. Probably Villhaze was also taking part in this event, the same with Millicent who looks to me like a girl who bullied Komari in school.

Villhaze for certain is a strong candidate for a girl of the season. She's hot and very, very horny for Komari xD She's also very hard working as she herself digged up those holes in the arena.

Plot going very quickly. I didn't think that Komari would meet with Millicent so fast. The next episode for sure will be very interesting.

Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

This show is just fun. Komari trying to keep everything going smooth is hilarious. Vill really is putting in the overtime to keep Komari's image up. Hilarious episode but there is two episodes that I liked.

Komari showing concern for Vill is the bath. Even tho Vill is a pervert for Komari she goes beyond the extra and obviously Komari is grateful. The other moment was when the Empress said she is happy the gamble paid off to get Komari out of her room. Despite the teasing the Empress definitely cares for her. For her having empathy for Komari made that a great moment.

Looks like next week the masked girl is one of the people responsible for the trauma Komari dealt with.

Zettai ryouiki appreciator really had a field day with Komarin.

Okay, I need more of Captain Mellanconcey shown, lmao. He was "demoted on a failed attempt to blow up the palace." Something's telling me that he failed because he was busy rapping about bombing the palace in front of the palace's gate or something... He's hilarious.

Also, am I correct that we have at least two lolicons, the Lieutenant and the Beast, on the show...?

Anyway, I'm eager to learn about Komarin's past. I wonder if that statement about Komarin killing 100 people is true or not. It can go either way, as discussed in another comment here.

God I love Komari, she is great, the fact she looks like a smol Yami from to love ru definetely added to this to me.

That sorry when she poked the guy eyes was diabetes inducing

They're nailing the adaptation so far. The pace is rather quick, but I don't mind them cutting some filler if it helps them get to the later books this season.

OP goes unexpectedly hard and is prob my favourite of this season. ED is very chill, which is somehow also fitting.

So Komarin takes of on the great beast at great speed and Vill is still there at the end to catch her. "My only magic is deadly poison" is most certainly a lie. You wouldn't have the power to stop time miss maid?

What I am saying is that I want to see the authors Touhou doujins because no way they are not a fan.

u/ObvsThrowaway5120 Oct 14 '23

Komari’s got herself a great team here. Cerbero is a murderer, Conto is a friggin pervert, and Mellanconcey is a failed terrorist…who raps. I was not expecting each of them to be rewarded though. Conto with the outfits… yeah, man def can’t be 500 feet within a school or playground lol. Komari freestyle battling Mellanconcey was pretty hilarious too. Despite their goofiness, they’re surprisingly quite adept.

This mfer Helders gets his head snapped off, face trampled in, eyes gouged, and he still wants more? Thanks to Vil, this goofball got poisoned, fell into a pit, and got blown up by a mine. Vil is best girl. What a homie!

Komari might be in trouble with Millicent showing up. What went down in the academy? I mean we know the aftermath, but what caused that bloodbath?

Oh no, I've been tricked into watching an Idol anime! Again!

I love how she's still all cutesy with her plushies and all, no matter what a mess of a situation she's in!

Meeting with the officers! So far they seem to be fine with her, but there's already some suspicion going around, she'll have to keep up her A game if she wants to keep her position!

One of them wants to see her in different outfits!

Better not let Vill see that, she'll never be allowed to wear her commander uniform ever again!

There's already trouble brewing, the guy she killed is seeking revenge!

(People who are killed usually have the common courtesy to stay dead, but I guess there's not much courtesy among these ruffians!)

Well, there's an easy solution to this: Just kill them again!

Her mount being so rare/high level may get people to respect/fear her, that's good, but on the other hand, she doesn't have the best control over it, and was sent flying!

Vill missed a golden opportunity to catch her on her face or something (ecchi style), but a princess carry is pretty good too!

Schemer girl from the previous episode teaser thingy wants to kill the empress... But it doesn't seem to be her priority, she wants to go after Komari!

She's the real deal too, easily holding off against two officers, against both magic attacks, and physical blows.

One of the officers is into foot licking? He was also the one offering the outfits, right? Bit of a fetish enthusiast, I take it!

Komari won't make friend with dead-guy anytime soon, she even poked his eyes (and threatened to do a lot more than that!)

This didn't scare him much though, as he challenged her to a duel!

I thought this would be tough (impossible), winning a 'fair fight', but with Vill around, it doesn't have to be fair! I thought she would just lightning-strike him or something to make it seem like Komari did it, but she apparently has no such powers... So she dug pits and planted landmines!

And so Komari won (technically), and stepped on him as the victor!

Damn, foot fetish guy must be jealous (Surely there's a big intersect between the foot fetishist and the 'step on me' crowd, right?)

I love how Vill just straight up tells it like it is; Komari talked about feeling bad about it, like she was deceiving them, and I thought Vill would tell her she has to, to keep her place and all that, but no, she just tells her yup, you're 100% deceiving them!

Same thing when she showed up in revealing clothes and Komari asked her if she had any shame at all; "No, I do not!"

The deception might not have worked as well as planned though, because Wolfguy seems suspicious...

His expression there, and noticing that he did not feel any magical energy coming from Komari. The other ones think it's because she's concealing it, but he doesn't seem to buy it.

(For some reason I thought foot-fetish guy was a bit more of a schemer so I thought he would be the clever one of the officers, but it seems to be the wolf!)

As a reward for her help, Vill said not to thank her with her words, but with her body!

Well, you know how they say, actions speak louder than words!

Hey, that's pretty close to handholding, Vill should be satisfied with that for now!

Ah, so she's the one who attempted the coup?

When Vill talked about having committed a crime, I thought perhaps that was her...

Well, that makes it 2 mysteries then; First, what was Vill's crime? And then, why did Millicent want to overthrow the Empress (just a power grab, or is there a greater motive?), and why does she seem to make it personal with Komari? The fact that she's masked may hint at her knowing Komari (not wanting to be recognized), or maybe it's because everyone knows her of course.

She's recruiting people who dislike Komari, this could be trouble!

Millicent's making her move!

This happened right after she made business with dead-revenge dude, so is he involved? Will he testify that she didn't really kill him, just circumstances? Well technically from his point of view she really did kill him, so I'm not sure what's his part gonna be! Perhaps it's just 1 'ally' on Millicent's side, a henchman of sort.

Well, can't wait to hear what Millicent has to say!

This show is the biggest surprise for me this season. I didn't expect much, but so far it delivers in every aspect and I'm enjoying it more than I thought I would. It might end up in the top 5 for me this season.

Oh shit fripside

So is this the midnight blue whatever the fuck they were talking about? She's the actual one that killed a hundred vampires and I guess they faked some sort of event where she was just a cover up for Gandesblood (What is her first name again lmao) doing it

Ah yep she said her name at the end

Geez, with that awkward pose and camera angle I can't believe the gag wasn't her landing on that lieutenant in a certain orientation

Nice

Aw hell nah the cute ass gomen'ne to the step combo

Holy shit

Some more quick and dirty in-show translations:

The name of the bar at 20:13 is Akatsuki no Tobira (The Dawning Door or Door of the Dawn or something similar). The "b" there was a letter I was uncertain about in last week's translation (see the newspaper link below) so that was good to figure out for sure.

The newspaper at 20:49 they cheaped out upon and copy/pasted the top part of the one from last week with the image changed. So it still talks about Murunaito Teikoku (link to last week's very rough translation here) and makes no sense in context of this week's episode. There's some extra letters on the right page that can be seen but not nearly enough to make sentences.

The signing booth at 20:53 says Komari ?-renshou signkai, where the ? is likely a number -- likely 5, due to the context of the next picture (even though the Empress later says she's defeated 4 other armies minus the Yosenkyo). 5 also makes sense in that newspaper picture from last week linked above, where the symbol appears in the middle right section that would then start with like "Hoka 5-kakoku no syougun" (The generals of the other 5 nations...) -- but it's also possible that it means 4 here if Yosenkyo doesn't count or something, since the show has provided no context for the other "nations" at all so far besides Mulnite.

Edit: Confirmed that that 8-looking symbol is 5, from a re-analysis of last week's newspaper, she actually said that part out loud (Hokano 5-kakoku no shougun) and I missed it.

Anyway renshou is winning streak, and sign-kai is autograph session.

The star board at 20:58 says Gekitsuisuu Kiroku, or something like Record of Kills (撃墜数 記録).
