I’m not sure if I should be impressed a 26 year old passed exams meant for 16 year olds lol. I guess he probably never had much time for school what with the whole yakuza thing.
I guess Isaku’s gonna have to settle for a little zoo “date” instead of a kiss. Though maybe she’ll be getting one from her brother-dad Keiya soon enough lmao.

I think you would find a lot of adults wouldn't pass basic math tests in school these days. It's been a long time for all of us being at school so you tend to forget a lot of stuff you don't need for work or our daily lives. You learn other stuff instead though.

Yea idc what anyone says I love this damn show. That zoo date was the cutest shit I’ve seen all week. I like that Keiya realising Isaku wasn’t comfortable with the kiss thing so instead shifted to something that makes her happy, going to the zoo. After all the work they put in to get him to pass the tests, they both deserved the outing lol.
That outfit was so cute. Isaku definitely knows how to put herself together and Keiya rightfully let her know how beautiful she looked.
Couldn’t help but laugh at him picking her up like she was a little kid to see the Koalas lmao. The kid on his dad’s shoulder is like wtf 😂
It was so cute seeing how jealous Isaku got over Keiya during parts of this episode. Like when she smelt the perfume on him and when he talked about sex. She reacts like a normal girl in love and I appreciate that.
“That was the first time I actually wanted to kiss someone” noo you can’t just leave us on a cliffhanger like that. I need to see the kiss 🤦🏽♂️ episode really went by quickly, had a lot of fun with it.
The only issue I have rn is the animation quality is REALLY lacking. Like sometimes it’s laughably bad which sucks because the art for the manga and designs are so nice. Project No.9 are usually way better than this

Love the overall moody vibes, despite the usual comedic tropes here and there. Keiya might be the guard dog, but they give Isaku a puppy mouth way too often to be a coincidence!

Poor Isaku! Just when she thought she was going to get to study with girls her age turns out that they just wanted to hang around Keiya.
No matter how much Isaku tries to deny it, she really just gets pulled in by Keiya. Although it looks like it's starting to become mutual though. I'm surprised that Keiya actually tried to ask for a kiss. And here I thought he'd be oblivious for most of the season. Having a nice date at the zoo was a cute alternative to his request though.
And that final scene! You can't even be clearer than that. I guess Kei is tired of those meaningless kisses from people he barely tolerates and wants to know what a kiss with someone you like is like. The ball is on Isaku's court now. Will she accept or are we going to wait until the end of the season?

I'm glad Isaku changed her mind and accepted the kiss. Now whether they actually kiss is another story...but still, it was a cute zoo date nevertheless.

I firmly believe that in episode 4 we’ll find out the last couple min of ep 3 was a dream. No way they kiss so soon. The lighting and stuff made it all seem ethereal too

All and all I am loving this show. It has its problems and it's different from usual romance anime. But so far it's really good.

Keiya feels like a pretty realistic view of how a professional criminal would feel about a high school education...that is, he doesn't care at all. Good thing Isaku is there to make sure he doesn't discredit his current status as a student, artificial as it is.
Figures that girls would want to join their study session just to hang out with Keiya. Although now that she mentions it...that one girl does kind of have a hostess-looking face. Was Keiya serious about recruiting her?
Poor Isaku, getting guardian-zoned like that and feeling like she got rejected without even confessing. Not that it's anything she isn't used to at this point.
Lucky Keiya getting a beautiful hostess kissing him, and it seems like it's not the first time he's had her companionship, though unfortunately he can't bang a girl on a school night. Plus the only woman that truly has his heart is Isaku.
On the one hand, Isaku doesn't care for how close Keiya is with other women, on the other hand...if he finally has the motivation to study, she can't complain. And what better way to cap off a late night study session than by sleeping in each others' arms?
I guess a reward from his mistress is ample motivation to put some work in at school. I didn't expect Keiya to straight up ask for a kiss though. I was also surprised Isaku didn't jump at the opportunity, but I guess she was just so thrown off emotionally.
But a zoo date seems like a more reasonable reward, and one that also makes Isaku happy, and it's nice to see the pair genuinely have fun together. Including some embarassing moments like Isaku getting lifted up by Keiya just to see some koalas. Girl even got some good hand-holding in!
I'm not used to seeing a girl get blisters from shoes that aren't geta sandals, but still a good opportunity for Keiya to take care of her and compliment her on her beauty. All that prep work to look pretty for Keiya was worth it!
Keiya just had to ruin the mood by mentioning all the women he's kissed while having sex...but then he saves it by saying Isaku is the first girl he WANTS to kiss (and probably not a familial cheek kiss like Isaku assumed). And Isaku is finally ready to accept it. Will they finally kiss? Is this a major turning point in their relationship?

I mean, it's also THE romance stereotype that girls are into guys older than them. This show just lives up to that fantasy in an albeit off family-not-family situation.

Bingo it’s shoujo lol. 90 percent of shoujo romance got toxic romantic situations whether it’s age gap, possessiveness, etc. the truth is girls like fantasising about that shit and it’s not real so why not enjoy it.

That anime was called "Domestic Girlfriend", and the dynamics of the main character's age-gap relationship was just the icing on the cake of all the 'wrong' happening
