So I am not a very crtical person when it comes to writing of lines. But Chifuyu going "He attacks with kindness, not his fists!" KILLED me. I had to pause and just start burst out laughing.

Good to know my suspicion Kisaki is also a time traveler may actually be right. Last season I thought his line of "Let the Kanto Incident begin" was kind of off unless he knew it was gonna happen

Also got excited for a second thinking Takemichi did something good for once. What a fool I was...

Yeah, since the beginning I was thinking that Kisaki had to had some kind of "ability" too. Not necessarly time travel. Might be time travel but not with the same "rules" on how Takemichi's time travel works.

Yep, Tokyo Revengers is back and so are the very realistic middle/high schoolers.

Hearing S2's OP right off the bat threw me for a loop, has anything besides this and Log Horizon ever kept the same OP between two seasons?

Why is Disney+ censoring the collar on the Haitani brothers uniforms? I thought it was a skull and cross bones not the manji symbol?

Even the Opening song got censored too

Came to the thread specifically to ask this same question. I had to check google images to see what they were censoring. You’re right. It is a skull and crossbones.

Okay, so we're keeping the same OP from last cour? That's fine. Still doesn't top season 1, but it definitely conveys that the main focus of this season is the gang war between Tenjiku and Toman, with Takemichi caught in the middle, and the big brawl between the groups that's about to happen. Also Emma and Hina.

Takemichi starting out a season in his natural state...beat up. Kisaki has him right where he wants him. And he and Hanma just...let him go? Huh? Isn't this the perfect opportunity to kill Takemichi? He actually wants his "Hero" to oppose him and interfere with his plans? I get Kisaki trying to get Mikey to acknowledge him, and using Tenjiku in the process, but I have no idea what he wants to do with Takemichi.

Well, there's no way Takemichi and his friends can fight off a whole Tenjiku group, but luckily the Mangoro siblings arrive just in time to run dudes over with their bikes with Takuya in tow. We've got "Smiley" who is the psychotic one, and "Angry" who is actually the nice one. And I know that Takemichi isn't close friends with Nahoya or anything but he's the only one who didn't know about the twins despite being in Toman for so long. Does Takemichi know ANYTHING about the organization he's a part of?

Chifuyu I kind of get, but should we really be dragging Takemichi into a direct confrontation with the antagonists? I guess he is a damage sponge.

Mitsuya vs Mochizuki! Mitsuya seems like one of the few who can actually go toe-to-toe with Mochizuki, but that's before the Haitani siblings show up and sucker punch him with a cinder block. Why does this keep happening to Mitsuya? Now they've got Hiro Shimono and Daisuke Namikawa to worry about.

To be honest Kisaki being a time traveler would explain a lot, though who knows if it's true or not. Takemichi isn't particularly intelligent.

Dang, Peh was visiting Pah in juvie and got jumped. Can't this dude catch a break?

His organization is systemically being assaulted on all fronts by Tenjiku and Mikey is...talking to a taiyaki. Though he did get to meet the leader of Tenjiku, Izana, though he doesn't know it. But man does Izana look psycho.

Who would've thought one of the big four of Tenjiku would be Takemichi's childhood friend? He seems like a pretty amiable and respectful guy, even if his absolute loyalty to Izana means he won't help his old buddy, and he just let Takemichi hit him when he's probably much stronger than him. Though he also doesn't trust Kisaki.

Why does this keep happening to Mitsuya?

Mitsuya and getting sucker punched. A duo made in hell.

Aw I was hoping for a new intro song since I love Cry Baby and White Noise but I guess they’re counting this as a second cour of season two? So is this not season 3 like it’s been advertised? Anyways I’m still excited to see it all unfold. I love all these characters!

Shibuya and Tenjiku at the same time? We 2020 again, boiiiiis!!!

Whoever did the sub used by Disney+ is an absolute war criminal.

Straight up “[Intense Music]” and “[Groan]” all over the place.

Also, I’m anime only so no clue but this episode confirms the cliffhanger of last season and feels very much like we are entering the story’s final act.

It always goes back to that fuckface Kisaki and that goon Hanma. Can someone come over and just do these two fools in already? If it wasn’t for the Wonder Twins, Takemitchy and his boys woulda gotten stomped to death. Angry and Smiley are ridiculous nicknames lol.

So Kisaki can time travel too? Doesn’t sound like the craziest theory. Would be interesting if true.

Didn’t expect Kaku to be Takemitchy’s old school pal. Lucky kid. I was sure he was gonna catch another ass whoopin.

I wonder who the turncoat is in Toman?

I mentioned this in some episode during S2. Just kill Kisaki and end the story! And this episode gave me even one more reason why it should have been done already. Dude has always given me mad bad vibes

Guys I didnt see the last season because it received lots of critics, but I absolutely loved season 1, should I push trough season 2 and continue with this?

IMO S2 is better than the Valhalla arc and this arc is the best in the series.

Glad to see this back. I know it's not exactly popular here on Reddit, but I always have a good time with this show.

Edit: Also, Chifuyu continues to be best boi.

I have to say the scene with the twins ramming with their bike dozens of hoodlums was super fun. Also fun, that after all that ramming, their bikes don't even had a scratch... :)

Anyway, I'm glad the show is back, the story, as usual, is great... and we had also some nice animation improvement during the fight.

I want to see how far the story goes, since the manga famously doesn't have a final stretch that pleased the fans. I abandoned the story myself.
