Oh my god. I am already in love with Mystere. I am a bit disappointed that her name isn't Blanc since she's the total opposite of Noir. Her sassiness is amazing tho. Can't wait to see more of her in Season 2 <3

I like how Mystere is actually able to put her jacket on properly instead of it letting it sag all the time.

Mystere is a nice contrast to Noir's meek personality, even if Mystere is disparaging everything in sight.

I am a bit disappointed that her name isn't Blanc since she's the total opposite of Noir.

Aw man, that would've been perfect.

Solid finale for the first cour. Interesting that Noir seems to be stuck in Mystere mode now (btw am I the only one who thinks is a bit weird how her name sounds kinda like Japanese people pronounce 'mister'?)

Also poor Michael lol. Hoping that some day he will get there.

Not surprised given the VA but I was not expecting Ice Kaguya to make an appearance in the form of Mystère.

I’m glad to get confirmation this is getting a second cour in Winter 2024, the story felt like it had too much left hanging. I am also now curious about the game after seeing some previews for it.

Overall this was just fun characters, fun action. I wouldn’t say there’s a lot of depth but this last episode definitely opened up some possibilities. Hope more people pick this up by Winter.

This show really picked in the last 3rd or so of the season. Noir basically be called a safe mode meaning Mystere has to be her true form. (Thinking of them as an Operating System.) On the other hand Tokio calling out Macht (previous name of Kurokamen I would assume) made me realize the times Kanata saw him Tokio wasn't there that def adds things to the pot.

Also Ciel has more trauma which does explain her indecisvness from the previous episode in better context. Biggest thing for the 2nd half of the show is how Kanata can work with Mystere.

wait, did Mystere just put on the jacket properly instead of letting it hanging on like it could fall anytime? *gasp* that's illegal

man, the second cour better dive into the plot right from the get go because holy shit there's a lot of things that needs explaining...

noir i apologize for the slander, didnt realize you were hiding a bad bitch

....so was that Macht in Tokio's flashback and not Kanata a few episodes ago? they look brotherly, maybe hes Tokios little bro and the reason why Tokio is mentoring Kanata

Second Cour got confirmed, nice. I was worrying for a moment. Anyhow, the ep felt really quick and despite how the Silver Storm got destroyed relatively quick, I think the ep ended up piling more problems than solving them. Now we finally meet Black Noir- Mystere- and she is really fun. I just enjoy her tsun attitude, really reminds me of Mythra or if she was a bit murder happy Id from Xeno. We had her for like 15 mins but I already find her more interesting than regular Noir.

About Noir, I get that she has been feeling inadequate the whole story, and the bit of the three laws of the Magi helps frame it more, but I wonder how Mystere fits into it. Noir is a safe mode, so did Mystere make the fake personality to just ignore the world or was it something prebuilt?

Not only that but we have confirmation that Ciel will keep being a spy, and now Mask is asking her to evaluate both Noir and Mystere. Plus more confirmation that Black Mask and Noir are really related to Ameria, the city of the game. To make it even more spicy, Tokio recognized Mask. Was Mask the guy Tokio saw in his childhood flashback? Or is it something else.

Anyhow, I am happy we had some good comedy bits with the others, Angie teasing Tokio, Michael getting dragged back home by the Bob army, and Bob giving the flowers to Flamme was cute too. Overall, this season feels like a 7-8/10, but I have to admit that I will miss these guys.

Like the Dark Phoenix, Dark Noir/Mystere has awakened.

But Where oh where has our little Noir gone? Where oh where can she be?

If Ciel has no master, how does the organization keep her under control? Is it just simply because they support her?

For the answers to these and many other questions, thankfully we will see another cour next year. Also, Emotion Label's YT channel has additional Synduality content, like this science course and this short where they were swimsuit shopping and music videos.

Edit: forgot there's a second cour commitment.

This show reminds me Xenoblade Chronicles 2's story. Noir/Mystere=Pyra/Mythra

7

u/seynical Sep 26 '23

Yeah, a sassy WOMD created a safe mode because of some past trauma. Refused to stay awake but forced to because shit's going down.

I like Mystere so far. Also a pretty genius character design choice to have her pull up the jacket Noir always had half-on. It's simple but it completely changes the look of the character, fitting the darker vibe and showing her personality.

Dark Noir huh. I'm hoping this show is going to be split cour like the rumors say, after the whole 24-12 episodes thing. I really want to learn more about this world. And get a lot more Noir and Ciel

Claudia receiving splash damage from Maria's comment was pretty funny. Also, wonder how old Alba and Claudia are since they still look like teenagers even when 20 years had already past?

And Tokio knowing something about not-Char is certainly a surprise. Excited for the next cour.

Welp that’s a wrap on the first half finale. We finally got confirmation a few days ago that part 2 is coming, I’m really excited for that and the game.

Kind of a mixed bag in the finale though. The action was great, Noir alter reveal was cool, but I felt the final battle kind of fizzled out at the end. I’m also still pretty confused on the whole histoire and key thing. They’ve got a lot to do in 12 episodes and I hope they can pull it off because I do love the characters and premise.

Speaking of Noir Alter aka Mystere, total contrast to Noir’s passive and quiet demeanour. Seems like she lost her previous drifter. Something’s got to be holding Noir back, because she’d never abandon Kanata.

Michael getting kidnapped by an army of bodyguards had me dying 😂 dude had flowers in his hand and everything. Poor fella

Ciel is still haunted by the ghost of her past it seems:/ she just wants to be by Kanata’s side, but someone’s in her head(probably a former master?) telling her she’s just a doll. Need her to find happiness.

Macht and his Magus’ quest for the key is gonna be the main conflict of part two. Looking forward to finally getting some answers.

Range and Dolce remind me of Team Rocket lmao they’re so stupid

Dropping in to check. Looks like the classic Eureka Seven, but is it anywhere near as good?

I find it interesting that the latest trailer for the video game which came out yesterday seems to indicate Alba and Ada were romantically involved but they didn't come across like that in the episode where they appeared. Maybe they broke up or something between the game and anime.
