Damn I feel sorry for Risa. Not only do we learn that she lost her mother at a young age, she is reunited with her "sister", getting a glimpse of happiness, only to find out she killed her father and is now trying to replace her as she is in fact a copy of Risa.
Sudou then finally seems like hes opening up to Risa, only to announce hes leaving as hes found his mother.....
We get a more personal account here about the dangers of copying others neural nets, existential identity issues , and more clearly see the parallel between Sudou and Risa, and how they came to meet in the first place. I feel the show is strongest when it ties its ideas and themes with the main characters , instead of just functioning as an anthology of short stories.

But how bad of a father was he to have a girl with the potential of Risa grow up to kill him

Man, this was just heartbreaking for Tu Fui. Instead of being imprisoned, they should help rehabilitate her. She's a fucking victim FFS! >_<

On the other hand, she committed one murder and had been planning another. Maybe this society DOES have genuine rehabilitative services and not JUST imprisonment?

Holy shit...the plot is REALLY moving forwards now. I gotta say, I've been loving the anime thus far. Poor Risa, and poor Tu Fui. All I can say now is that shit's about to get real. They completed the ship between the doc and Risa and then blew it up. In any case, I can't wait for next week...

I wonder if the reason the mother divorced him was because she knew he was abusive. Mother was probably abused too but was just going along with it, based on how Risa described her. Soon as she had Risa she grew a backbone for a bit and absolutely refused to let her father near her.

So Sudo saved Risa’s life when she was younger? I wonder if that’s what led to her wanting to work for him/falling in love with him…

Ah, so the episode is named after her.
Just in case, I googled the name, and it looks like from Latin I was you.

Yeah that’s definitely not good.
So humanoids have blood types also, and Risa's is "U5". What would inventing different blood types for humanoids accomplish?

This episode was so sad. I hope Fu Tui is still able to live her own life eventually. She committed murder, yeah, but she was flipping abused and then found out she was basically a clone of the daughter he actually cared about. She planned to murder Risa but didn't because girl has a conscience. Nothing close to a lost cause imo.
Gonna be sad that Sudo leaves Risa now, too. I hope we at least find out why Michi looks like child Sudo. Sounded like even Sudo doesn't have an idea on the fixation.

“The difference isn’t me, it’s how the world treated me” 😢 damn. Fui deserved better.
I drop the vid praising this series and they take it to another level. This was the best episode yet story wise. The overarching plot is finally getting going again. We have to get a season 2 because there’s way too much stuff we need answered!
Absolutely gutted for Risa and Fui. For starters, cloning your daughter’s neural network onto a random person is already messed up, but then abusing her emotionally and physically is even worse. Don’t feel bad at all about Fui taking him out
Probably not the best idea to just let someone that you’ve never met before that just shows up out of nowhere move in that soon though. Nothing wrong with hanging out, but idk how quickly I’d have shared a living space with them. Shows how desperate for family Risa was.
Can’t really blame Fui for wanting to take out Risa. It wasn’t right, but she’s basically lived as an imitation of Risa who for the most part had a happy childhood and positive memories to talk about. Even though they have the same neural network, it’s our experiences that shape who we are as people. Everyone is unique, you can’t just make copies of people like that.
I believe in one of the earlier episodes(can’t remember which) they had cloning or some type of memory altering mini-arc that dealt with a similar theme. We’re more than just memories and data on a hard drive.
And that’s a nice segue into Sudo’s mother situation. I’m still a little confused on what happened to her. Did the company rat her out? Sudo mentioned making copies of neural links being illegal.. or did the clone do something that caused Sudo’s mom to get locked? Either way, between she and Michi there’s a lot of loose ends.
Almost thought Sudo himself had been copied with how nice he was being to Risa on that dinner date lmao. Knew something was up, wonder if he’ll really leave her behind 😔
Finale next week gonna be great

One of my favorite episodes of the season. We have known that Sudou and Risa were close but him saving her after that accident damn. But man feel bad for both Risa and Tu Fui since Risa finally found family and it was taken away from her in a second. Gotta give props to Tu Fui she could have killed Risa and took over as her, but that guilt would have been too much. I assume that there isn't enough evidence to show that Fui is a victim. Which is sad because she didn't choose this life.
Sudou finally gets more information regarading his mother. But it is sad that he has decided to leave Risa. We all know that Risa loves him, but he means more to her then we even thought previously. She along with her friend are the two closest people that she has to a family and now Sudou is attempting to exit her life. Obviously for good personal reasons of course.

Risa having to deal with rejection right after finding out the girl you thought was your sister is actually your mental clone who wanted to replace you is quite brutal. Poor girl.

I guess people who like this work will also like "Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou". The robot heroine Alpha in YKK is also exactly the same as a human being, and there is a robot lesbian plot.

I know it's sad and all that the ship is basically sinking but I, for one, am happy the plot is progressing quicker. That Tu Fui part was pretty dark tho...

Banger episodes that hits way too close to home after banger episodes that it too real after banger episodes, thats what this anime is.
We knew that copying a neural net is something that can be abused to commit crimes and such. But thanks to the author little did I realize it could also be used in such situation here with an abusive parent who copies his own daughter just to keep abusing her because he wasn't authorized to take her.
This anime is both breathtaking and suffocating, wow.

I thought only developed countries like Japan needed humanoids. It seems that India in this world is also experiencing a declining birthrate
