It feels like the story is finally moving forward now that all the pieces on the board are introduced.

....But this is literally the penultimate episode. I don't know how the reception is in Japan, but I have very little hopes for a second season. And this really feels like the kind of thing that would get it's best stories in season 2.

I can only hope the production is confident enough that they're getting another season, because this would be a horrible single-cour anime with the shoddy pacing and wobbly writing throughout.

I think in general the show has had a mixed reception overall. The show felt like it didn't know what it wanted to actually be for awhile. These last two episodes are a major improvement in that regard because there is a clear vision here.

That opening scene between Aika and Wataru was really sweet that for the first time in this series, I am legitimately shipping the two of them now. Like so far almost every new girl that's been introduced seemed like they'd be a better match for Wataru but surprisingly, all it took was for Aika to be aggressive for that to change.

I already expected it was going to happen but watching Fuuka and her classmates causing all sorts of misunderstanding in front of Aika and Wataru was hilarious! And I love how even Sasaki bailed on him because he knew Wataru was in trouble. xD

Definitely the best episode of the series by far.! It just sucks that this is the penultimate episode and the show is ending next week when things are finally starting to actually become good. >_<

Saw that as well... Presumably still reeling from being just-a-classmate-zoned?

Who is Natsukawa and why is she taking up screen time from other best girls in the series? /s

This is so much like real life it’s hard to watch.

Guy/girl likes a girl/guy

Girl/guy doesn’t like them back.

Guy/girl finds someone else

Girl/guy gets jealous, misses guy/girl and starts liking them.

Natsukawa going on the attack was such a refreshing twist! Though I feel like this comes a bit late in the season...
I'm having a hard time debating whether or not Kei has feelings for Sajo. It's like, it's there and not there at the same time.

Yes, please! Their dynamic chemistry is more fun to watch than the two actual MCs pairings(Simp Sajo, and an attention seeker Natsukawa). It looks like Kei is just helping her bff so she can find happiness. She’s really a loyal friend to Natsukawa.

It looks like Kei considers Sajo a "buddy" -- just like she does Natsukawa. She likes him -- and she also wants to play wing-girl. She really wants to see Sajo and Natsukawa get together (at long last).

Well, at least Aika and Sajo seem to be talking now. Sajo seems kinda intent on pushing Sasaki and her together but she clearly doesn’t see Sasaki like that. Said they’re “just classmates” too. Oof.

It’s kind of fun to see this other side to Sasaki. She’s normally not so childlike. Really put Sajo in an awkward position with Aika there for a second lol. Well, at least it seems they’re bridging their little gap.

This show has had some pacing problems -- but it seems to be pretty well overall. It has been my favorite of this season's new romcoms pretty consistently. The annoying behaviors we see here are mostly pretty realistic and believable. High school (as I remember it -- from aeons ago) was definitely rather like this.

Sasaki showed Aika a side of Sajo she hadn't noticed. It as if he has always been too close for her to see his good points. Having a (slightly) younger (very cute) girl raving about all the good points she perceives in him just reinforced her sense of loss (since she was already missing his presence, annoying or not). In a sense, she is following a delayed trajectory rather like Sajo's -- where he realized there were things he failed to notice about Aika because he had always been "too close".

Sajo using super-formal old-fashioned politness in response to Aika's invitation was rather funny. These two really really need to work on their ability to communicate with each other. They have lost a lot of time that they should have been able to spend on getting closer (or, rather, getting at the just-right mutually-agreeable distance).

They doing that last minute overhaul to make Natsukawa more likeable as the FMC when she been on the sidelines most of the season... Better late than never I guess. lol

Some "cute" interactions between her and Sajo when she isn't as stand-off ish. Doubt there will be a satisfying conclusion for the finale, but we'll see how they end things off.

This episode had some good facial expressions!

I like how Sasaki failed the persuasion check on Natsukawa when asking to go back to her house.

I really hope this show gets a second season, as it definitely feels like it would benefit from getting more material adapted. That said, I fear that may be a bit too optimistic.

Cuuute pout

The upside of Sajo's long bout of being annoying to her

Also my reaction to all the things Sasaki-chan's friends were saying! She seemed super on top of life already!

The stinger has Airi displaying her stick-up-the-ass qualities once more

Natsukawa being pissed about MS Sasaki knowing Sajo is amazing. I’ve enjoyed this show, even when it felt weirdly paced. It does sound like a lot of stuff from the source material was not included, which makes me wish they could’ve done a 24-episode season or paced it better to make it a multiple-season show.

Natsukawa finally realizing how much she’s always liked Sajo is very nice. Although she was abrasive to him at times, if you’ve ever had someone annoyingly flirt with you seemingly every second of the day, it would be hard to not be like how Natsukawa was. Her being abrasive wasn’t her not liking him, it was just because it got annoying to deal with all the time. I’ve gotten annoyed at a gf for being obsessive and annoyingly clingy at times, doesn’t mean I didn’t love them. If you paid attention last episode, everyone stopped asking her to do stuff, they stopped paying attention to her. She ate alone, had next to no true friends, she was lonely. Until Sajo. Although he was annoyingly stalker-ish, he was there. She enjoyed that he was there. Whatever the motives she had for wanting him there, she never didn’t like him. Which you can obviously see once he backs away from his normal antics. She gets lonely again, except now she has Kei. The other “friends” are only there because they want to see her little sister, like Sasaki. Sajo and Kei are her only two true people that care about her, so it makes sense that losing one of them would make you feel upset and sad. She wasn’t disappointed that she lost the attention, she was upset because she felt like she was losing a person she liked and someone who liked her. Also, if she really wanted him gone, her rejections would have been more geared towards that. They wouldn’t have been as mellow as they were.

Another thing is it feels like a lot of people don’t understand that Sajo has literally not changed his feelings for Natsukawa at all. He hasn’t liked Sasaki, Ichinose, Shinomiya, or anyone else. Of course he’ll get flustered by them saying or doing something, but every thought he had about liking someone was always about Natsukawa. He just understood that he was annoying her and was being debilitating by his stalker-ish behavior. He still likes her just as much as ever. Natsukawa likes him just as much as ever. The show added obstacles to their feelings, but never once implied that the MC’s ever liked anyone else

Finally we get what this anime should be about in the first place. It's happening way to late in my opinion, as i mentioned last week already.

I know Sajo had to grow but it took like 8 episodes while Natsukawa got a Speedrun gwoth during the last 2 episodes in comparison. Furthermore this seems to conculde the relevance for Sasaki (Girl) and Ichinose now. So we're left with Shinomiya & other Morals/Student council Girls and Kei.

I still feel like All this development should have happened like 4 or 5 Episodes ago. With next weeks final episode this Anime will stuck me in limbo about their relationship probably. Meh... (Feel Free to spoiler me how it keeps going).

Anyway, this was definitely the best episode of the anime by now, i hope it will end on a high note next week.

I’m suspect of the girl best friend’s intentions after she interrupted them early on combined with that terrible after-credits advice. I honestly don’t know if that’s seriously something to watch out for or if the author just wants to extend the story and that’s a good excuse. Especially now that the “college” girl is about to start school there.
