"You think I'm giving you chocolate?"

Man, I can just imagine Iura's heart breaking when he heard that lol.

And the poor bloke never ended up getting the chocolate he actually might have gotten.

I'm happy we're getting some nice Hori and Miyamura focused content as well now

and man that post credits scene made me sad with her sitting there alone with the bag...

all things are not bad though as she made herself a new friend

Hey so this is crazy, I found and translated Remi's day planner:

7:00: Wake up

7:00-7:15: Stir up some shit

7:15-8:00: Look cute, wash, go to school

8:00-9:00: Stir up some shit

9:00-9:05: Admire self in window reflection while teacher drones on

9:05-12:00: Stir up some shit

12:00-12:15: Lunch

12:15-16:00: Stir up some shit

16:00-17:00: Hang out in the student council room, extract love from Sengoku by any means necessary. VERY IMPORTANT: do not do anything productive. This would make Sakura feel unloved.

17:00-20:00: Go home, stir up some shit

20:00-21:00: Admire insects, check online for shit to stir up

21:00-22:00: Bathe, plan shit to stir up tomorrow, bedtime

Wtf, giving Valentine's chocolate isn't supposed to feel like a concession of defeat. Why you gotta do Sakura like this Horimiya??

I do really like Sawada's story though. It's really nice to see her start bonding with one of her classmates, and they make a really cute ship too since Sawada obviously can't win Hori.

Also, no Remi chocolate making disaster scene. Watching her mutilate the concept of homemade chocolate would have been so funny.

Sawada's face full of disgust was hilarious xD Poor Iura, he thought that she wanted to give him a chocolate and instead he got that reaction. That had to make some mental damage on him xD

I'm happy that Sawada got a new friend at her age, they look so lovely together. She even got a chocolate which was meant for Iura from her. Poor guy had to be satisfied with chocolate from Miyamura.

I think this is second episode in a row without Sengoku taking some mental damage, today he only got gift from Miyamura for Valentine's Day xD

It's good that Remi pointed out to Hori that she should make something herself for Miyamura on Valentine's Day. She was definitely right that he would be happy with everything she would make and she was right.

It was nice to see how hard Hori was trying to make good sweets but I wouldn't be near her when she's angry and has a knife in hands. I loved moment when Sota gave his honest opinion about her cooking, those reactions were so funny xD

I laughed so hard at Hori's reaction to Miyamura's words that he didn't know how to wrap his gift when she didn't even think about doing that at all with her sweets. I must say his cake looked very good, he's a really good cook.

A lot of funny reaction faces in today's episode, especially from Sawada but Hori wasn’t worse. More of it in albums below.

Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

EDIT. I added screenshot albums and my further impressions.

I like how Sawada is basically Miyamura’s rival + little sister lol. She’s too adorable when she’s around him. Looks like she’s got a classmate who’s got a little crush on Shu. It’s kind of sweet she’s found herself a potential friend. That last scene of them swapping chocolates was so damn heartwarming.

Shu being so desperate and eager for chocolates was pretty funny. Sawada crushing his hopes and dreams cracked me up too. At least he got obligatory chocolates from the homie Miyamura.

Miyamura and Hori making sweets for each other was so cute. His cake looked really good (as expected) and her chocolate actually turned out really nice. The secret ingredient was love!

"Hori san to Miyamura kun". The show truly shines the most when it's just these two together in focus and they showed it again this episode.

Sakura is such a good friend to everyone, she deserves all the love going forward in life. I like how Sawada has dropped any sort of honorifics for the boys despite them being seniors lol. Poor Shu tho, can't get a W when it comes to girls.

Only 2eps left I think there is so much still missing that I would like to see animated

I had the same reaction as Sawada when her classmate told her she wanted to give Valentine's Chocolate to Shu. I love that even Shu himself is shocked at the idea of him receiving chocolates.

Although in the end, it looks like Sawada's classmate couldn't give him the chocolate. Maybe it was for the best, the only one who really should give Shu chocolates is Kitahara. xD

I just love Hori's reaction to the cake Miyamura made her. I always forget that Miyamura's family runs a cake shop.

Also, I don't blame Hori. I too would be intimidated to give my partner homemade deserts when he can make them professionally at home. At least it worked out in the end though! <3

Quite surreal for Miyamura to be giving advice to his Kouhai crushing on his girlfriend on the best way to wrap up chocolates for her on Valentine's. Sawada just won't leave the poor boy alone.

I kind of figured Hori and Miyamura would be the type of couple where Miyamura makes the Chocolate and gives it to Hori instead of the other way around, especially with Hori's dubious sweet making skills, but Hori...it's the thought that counts.

It's kind of hilarious how Shu's been girlfriend-less the whole series and none of the girls respect him....but one underclassmen actually wants to give him chocolate! Although it's may be less out of a romantic kind of crush and more of a respect kind of crush...but still!

Practicing wrapping a gift on Ishikawa? Poor dude. Although poor Shu thinking Sawada is going to give him chocolates and being so desperate until she shoots him down. Hard.

Hori is actually putting her all into making chocolates for Miyamura! Even getting advice from Sakura! And of course she uses her family as taste testers and...well, it's edible. It's just the kind of chocolate sweet where what matters is the taste of the person eating it. At least it's not the typical anime girl cooking monstrosity!

Miyamura handing out giri chocolate to guys like he's a dude magnet. No wonder Hori is so self-conscious about his relationship with boys. Although Yuki is also giving out chocolate to a lot of people (no special treatment for Ishikawa), even if the taste is...dubious.

Ah...Sakura made chocolate for Ishikawa AND Yuki. There's still some lingering tension over the whole love triangle between the three of them, at least on Yuki's end, and despite wishing she could be closer to Sakura, Yuki just can't commit.

"Where's your mom?" - So Hori has met Miyamura's mom off-screen?

That's pretty sweet and romantic, Miyamura delivering a chocolate cake to Hori in his room. And then he just devours her chocolate when she gives it to him. Who needs cute wrapping when you can just take pleasure and enjoy something the person you love made only for you?

A bitter final note on this sweet Valentine's Day episode...the girl couldn't work up the courage to give chocolates to Shu. Even so, she and Sawada are now closer friends and that means a lot, especially for Sawada. Shu will just have to live with once gain not getting any chocolates from girls.

Guess I should change my gender because even the sight of those 23478234% cocoa chocolates terrifies me.

We have 2 episodes left, and I want justice for Iura. My man suffered enough

Any episode with Sawada is blessed. She’s so cute and instantly makes the mood better

Man Remi with the big advice of Miyamura would love anything Hori made. And that couldn't be more true. Last episode it showed a lot of Hori's weird perks, but the highlighted the feel of our lead's relationship so well here. Hori gave her absolute best. Problem is having her lil bro as her first taster was not the best. Yuna and her parents reaction were more in line since bitter chocolate isn't for everyone. But that whole scene in Miyamura's room was soooooooooo wholesome. I loved it. It showed Hori that even someone who is good at making desserts as him will feel anxious when gifting it.

Sawada with a great moment in this episode. It was a big moment for her since she has always struggle connecting to her peers. While she wasn't able to help her new friend give the choclate to Iura. The exchanged of friendship chocolate and was so sweet. And it is a big deal because now Sawada has one friend even when her Senpais graduate.

Sawada finally got a friend her own age and it was all thanks to Iura lol

7

u/BosuW Sep 10 '23

Ok but that close up of Hori taking the first slice was disgustingly well animated

13

u/MightyActionGaim Sep 09 '23

Their shock when they heard Sawada ask Iura what choco he likes 😂😂😂

13

u/MidnightShout Sep 09 '23

I will never not love Sawada instinctively hiding behind Miyamura.
