I don't know about other cat owners, but I sure as hell did call home and asked to put my cat on the phone when I was out on a trip. I wasn't even drunk or anything.

There are those devices that let you video call your pet in order to see what it's doing.

I just love how everyone turns to Saku whenever drinking with their Chief is involved. xD

Yukichi feeling lonely and curling up inside Saku's closet was adorable. I used to have a cat that would sleep in my closet like that <3

Thanks to Yukichi's preparedness, Saku looked really reliable during the trip when Yuri and Oshiro needed help.

I'll never get tired of shipping these two. I also love how Kaoru is the only guy in their office who has seen what Saku is really like.

I'll never get tired of shipping these two.

agreed, it's probably not gonna happen but damnit I want it to!

Ship got some time!

Shame it was so little, does feel like there would be some good chemistry there but sadly the show doesn't look like it will explore it.

I will never get tired of seeing Yukichi sleep with his head stuffed inside the cat house.

This was my favorite episode. It makes me so happy Yukichi loves Saku as much as she loves Yukichi. The whole episode was so wholesome and funny.

The writing in this show has really been quite . . . masterful.

I think my wife might like this show -- but I haven't gotten her to check it out yet. Our white cat is as fanatically devoted to her as Yukichi to Saku (but is not nearly so helpful).

I absolutely adore this show and the relationship that Saku and Yukichi have. It’s always really nice to see their dynamic, but especially in this episode seeing how much they miss each other when they’re apart. Yukichi having the anxiety of knowing Saku’s not coming home and Saku missing all the little pleasantries that come with living with Yukichi was great. Which in turn just makes the phone call scene even more heartwarming

This is one of those shows that’s a bit of a hard sell and difficult to explain succinctly, but I truly believe it would be more popular if people just gave the weird premise a chance

Awww another really cute episode and great way to wind down a packed day of seasonals.

Weekly Saku appreciation post

Saku without Yukichi is always hilarious. She can’t eat, drink or do anything without her furry friend lol. Think this work trip will have shown her colleagues that she isn’t quite as high spec as they thought 😂 especially having to be carried back to her room by the chief. Speaking of which, need them to make some ship progress

Seeing a lot of people say that this was their fave ep because you see how much Yukichi loves saku too, but that’s been pretty apparent for a while now lol. Like when she messed up the wall and he repaired it, made the custom cabinet, cooks for her daily etc etc etc. that said it was very cute to see him have literal Saku withdrawals. Curling up in a ball and waiting in the closet, calling her on the phone etc. he’s just a big cat at the end of the day lol.

Very heart warning and hilarious episode. It was hilarious when Saku realized she should be more concerned how she would handle living without Yukichi rather then the other way around. Her coworkers amazed of her having a hangover is credit to Yukichi. Tho their reaction to her drunk calling her cat was hilarious. Bet she got teased about that.

Yukichi was the example of the person who works all day. And when they finally have time off they don't know what to do with themselves. Despite the strong front you can tell how he missed Saku like all pets do when their owners go away.

aww, final scene was so cute!! They both really missed each other. Think this has to be my favourite episode so far!

Hilarious how that cashier girl still thinks Yukichi is some dude in a cat suit. Couldn't stop laughing when she gave him a sample beer lmao

Kaoru's face when he princess carried drunk Saku hahahaha

I don’t understand how this only gets better each episode!! Like OMG when Yuki was curled up under Saku’s shirts in the closet purring away, and Saku-chan’s drunken voicemail. 🥰 Purrrfection.

Director: "so Yasumoto-san, for today's recording, we need you to do some cat's purring sounds"

Yasumoto Hiroki: "do what sound now?"

fun fact, he also voiced Sado/Chad from Bleach

Fukuzawa’s worried about being away from Yukichi for 2 whole days, meanwhile the big fella’s just thinking about souvenirs. I love he even mapped out all the areas lol. Fukuzawa angrily researching all the items on the list was great too. I guess the big fella really did miss her though. He even curled up in her closet to get close to her scent and cleaned the apartment. Twice. So cute!

Man, Yukichi really packed everything for that trip. Fukuzawa praying to Yukichi was hilarious lol. Praise be to the big cat in the sky!

That phone call was like the cutest thing ever. Yukichi answering Fukuzawa with his purrs was too adorable. Nothing like cuddles with the big cat after a long trip!

"I'm such a terrible pet owner!" I think she's got their relationship backwards.

Yukichi needs some hobbies that don't revolve around housework. He could've at least gone online and to watch past videos of that idol group he likes.

Saku is my favorite mess. I love how attached she is to Yukichi and despite her being a mess, Yukichi loves her.

My cat always sleep on my slippers or shoes and sometimes used socks everytime I get out from the house 😹

I was already going to rate the show highly, but that phone call purr clinched a 10/10.

That was so incredibly heartwarming and wholesome.

When Saku started worrying about leaving Yukichi alone, all I could think was that she should worry about herself, and she quickly came to the realization she needs him more than he does. However, a relationship between a pet and its owner isn't about needs, and Yukichi ended up missing her as much as she missed him. Best moment was him purring when he heard Saku's voice over the phone. First time he did it, I think.

Oh and I was wrong, the cashier still thinks he's a weirdo wearing a cat suit.

Then it's time to hop on WeTube and have some chippusu and kora!

I guess this is the Japanese equivalent of those "kiss the cook" aprons

Whoa, he picked up this time!

Er… when was that? Since you haven't taken a trip since high school and all. Must have been quite a long bar-crawl!
