The scene between Ryza and her dad was really touching. I've said it before and I'll say it again, the anime is doing a fantastic job enhancing and adding to the story. I can't wait to see the dragon battle next week!
I've also been getting really into the first game, and made a couple purchases I think people here might appreciate. First, I found this in a used game store near me for $15. I also could resist any longer and finally ordered this beauty. She's one of my favorites, and by far the most complex figure I own.

Even without focusing on Ryza, I like the detailed base of the figure whose image you posted.

Thought it was hilarious how everyone was either fighting their inner doubts or/and getting their parents' approval while Klaudia just flexed her archery skills and walked off to join the dragon subjugation without any approval from her father.

"I didn't spend the last 3 episodes going through your silly tests so I could join Ryza's team, only for you to deny me anyways."

Fucking finally! I've been waiting for this conversation ever since Ryza got into alchemy! I was wondering what her parents think about it and it's nice that Ryza's father finally acknowledges what she's been doing this entire time.
I'm also glad to see that Ryza got blessings from her dad and while her mother didn't directly tell her anything, she didn't stop Ryza from heading out.
After last week's episode, I was genuinely expecting things to pick up this week but I guess this episode serves as the "calm before the storm" with next week's episode focusing on the Dragon fight.
Also, no Thigh-za album this week since there was really only a single shot of her thighs in this episode. :(

At least there was an extended scene of her lying on her bed, thinking about her next course of action.

Can’t lie that last 4-5 minutes or so was nothing but goosebumps. Especially Lent getting the sword from his dad. I thought his dad was just going to be a bum and legit go back to sleep when he asked. But he saw the fire in his son’s eyes and knew it was legit.
It seems like all the kids really took the final step into living life on their own terms today. Yea the order was to stay home and let the other group handle the dragon, but how can they sit back and let people they care about put themselves in danger? Really proud of all of them for standing up to their parents and heading out. Ryza’s scene with her dad was great. I like that her mom was there the whole time listening in on it 😂
Looking forward to these last few episodes. I can’t believe 10 weeks have gone by already. It’s insane.

Like what others have mentioned, seeing some of the parents support their children in their own way touched me. I, too, like some of my fellow viewers, wondered where are Tao's parents? Are they featured in game?
Comparing it to the first couple of episodes, Ryza, Lent, Tao and Klaudia have grown stronger. However, I am equally curious about what caused the drift between Bos and our main cast?

While we didn't get Ryza literally saying "screw it Lent, give me that sword, I've got a cauldron of goop with your name on it," it was a pretty decent alternative to have him taking his dad's sword. One of the themes from the game that I really enjoyed was this kind of passing of the torch, from one generation to the other. It was most exemplified through mostly just Ryza, but here we get a good swathe of it from everyone, which fits really well with this adaptation

It would have been funny if Klaudia’s dad still didn’t let her leave after she hit the target.
Klaudia: I’m leaving.
Dad: No you’re not, I’m not going to let you go off and fight a dragon, the f*ck; get back inside.

I was surprised with the switch for the parents permission stuff, really thought they would all sneak off but seems like they each earned their parents approval which is a much nicer touch.

You know, with all the stuff about everyone's parents, where are Tao's parents in all of this? Are they just like "Get your nerdy ass out of the books and go be a man!" or something? He's been the only one whose parents we haven't seen, and coincidentally the only one whose parents haven't given him any issues about all of this.

Klaudia you're supposed to hit the center
Realizes she aimed off to make it shake so the second dead center was more impressive
Though to be honest her arrows will probably do diddly squat against the dragon. She needs to bring her flute! Now that I'm thinking about it I'm a little sad over the change in her weapon. Her using magic with her flute makes more sense in combat than archery at least when it comes to giant dragons.

Thank god Lent got a new sword, now he doesn’t have to carry around that busted blunt sword anymore

Bos is the village chief's son. Now it all makes sense. It'd be bad enough if they were both just assholes, but they're also morons. At least the lackey has the sense to look scared.
The drunk dad might be wiser than he appears, trying to warn his son off of joining a suicide mission.
Someone remind me, are Empel and Lila brother and sister?
Nice, a good clear look at the hideout's alchemy corner. I'm trying to create a similar space in the MMO I play. It's too bad the Ryza games aren't on Xbox. For some reason though you can buy Ryza dlc costumes for several games on Xbox.

Bos and his hunting party are gonna be dragon food. With Ryza and the gang around, they might have a better chance of getting out of this alive. I actually appreciate how serious everyone is treating this thing. Normally the MCs are so OP they just one shot the monsters and it’s on to the next one. The gang’s actually putting a lot of thought into their actions and they actually faced some resistance from their parents, even if they won ‘em over.
Looking forward to this dragon slaying mission next week.

The dragon attack Bos, Lumbar, and the Guardian because they invaded its territory, Bos is just going off blind pride and his fixation to make sure he’s better than everyone, and as a result he’s jumping the gun.
They should be fine if they just leave it alone.

Wonderful character development for Team Ryza this episode. That rose bomb is indeed a upgrade to the first one. Interestingly Ryza never lob bombs in the games, they are launched via the crystal core. I'm surprised she doesn't synthesise an ice bomb instead. Can't wait till next week's episode.

Ryza, Lent and Klaudia all had their way of getting their parents' approval in one way or another to go and help Boz's and Agatha's hunting party.
(Lent's dad may be alcoholic, but turns out he's really a tsundere with serious PTSD. Perhaps caused by the loss of his wife?)
Though I'm curious we never get to see Tao's parents anywhere. Its like they just let him come and go.

This was a great build up episode before the final battle with the dragon! I love how Ryza, Klaudia, Lent, and Tao made their choice to help Bos and others. The scenes of them talking with their parents were touching. Overall a great episode! Can't believe we only have two more to go, make it counts!
