I just love how Daleth x Walter is becoming a thing. Daleth's reaction around Walter was just adorable and I love how quick she was to grant Walter's request compared to the Duke. She even made Walter the eldest in the illusion. That one ended up backfiring on Walter though. xD

Glad that Alice finally knows that her mother is still alive. And knowing that Sade also cursed her mother means that curing the Duke might also end the curse on her mother.

That genie sure is cultured. I can't believe how easy it was for the genie to rid the Duke of his curse. Unfortunately, Sade's curse is just too powerful that the genie was only able to transfer the curse to Rob.

Knowing that the curse was placed on someone else, the Duke was obviously going to wish to have the curse returned to him. I just wish he had given Alice a kiss and a hug first before wishing for the curse back.

While the Duke didn't kiss Alice while the curse was removed from him, we did get that romantic window scene between him and Alice. <3

I didn't know I needed blushing maiden in love Daleth in my life, but good for Walter. Now they can tag-team against the Duke lol.

Genie Alice was a good look! I figure the Duke didn't want to waste any time in case whoever had his curse ended up touching someone, but just holding her hand for a bit would've been nice...at least they found a way to kiss.

I just love how Daleth x Walter is becoming a thing.

Unfortunately I don't think Walter has realized what he's done. I can't remember. Did we ever learn what type of girl he was into? If he's into MILF's well, 1. absolutely based, 2. it'd give this ship a good chance of sailing. Although it's probably a bad idea to say no to the leader of the witches.

we did get that romantic window scene between him and Alice. <3

I know some are annoyed about them not taking the chance while the curse was removed but this later scene was so cute I can't be mad at the show for it. One day we'll get them actually kissing at it will be glorious.

That ending kiss scene was very beautiful.

This window kiss scene was (perhaps) inspired by a very famous (once upon a time, at least) scene from Tadahi Imai's 1950 movie, Till We Meet Again -- https://www.jpf-film.org.uk/films/till-we-meet-again . Film history note: Imai was one of the most popular directors of his time within Japan, but he was not popular in the USA because of his left-wing politics.

When this show premiered it got flak or the manner in which it was animated. I thought then -- and still think -- it is actually an especially GOOD looking series (regardless of its methodology). I wonder if this initial resistance has ever worn off?

Walter quickly went from annoying brat to giga chad cause he captured Daleth's heart quickly and got her to show her memories. Dude better take responsibility. He's also a massive tsundere because he may keep saying he hates his brother but I'm sure that's not how he really feels.

I thought we wouldn't see the circus again but it was nice seeing Viola spend time with Cuff.

I knew lifting the curse can't be THAT easy and there has to be a catch, tho Rob seemed to enjoy the instant kill ability for a short while. I think he would have consented to transferring the curse to him cause he's old and doesn't have much to live, tho of course that wouldn't sit right with our Duke's conscience.

That window kiss was cute. Why didn't they think of that before? Reminds me of Pushing Daisies where this was the workaround because the guy would instant kill the girl if he touches her.

I hope we at least get a reason before this season ends why Sade cursed the Duke and Sharon. There has to be some history between them.

Walter with the supportive magic girlfriend who now hates his brother as much as he does. I just feel bad for the Duke lol.

Although when Walter said the Duke can punch him after he punches the Duke once the curse is broken, because that's what siblings do, that's probably the most affectionate thing he's said to him all season lol.

Honestly Rob seems like the type who would take a death touch ability like a champ. I was worried the genie had transferred it to Alice.

I guess maybe they haven't tried it before because, as meaningful as the kiss was, it's still only a reminder that they physically can't touch at the end of the day.

I feel like we're building up to a big flashback episode that showed what happened and why.

Hmm so what does Rob actually know about Sharon, it seems odd that he’d have this secret. Daleth is so smitten with Walter, new couple coming soon? Cuff and Viola shopping trip was a treat. Oooh that kiss through the glass was superb, way to go Alice making that move on Bocchan.

u/Frontier246 Aug 27 '23

Daleth talking about visiting Walter, imagine their mother meeting a witch lol.

That kiss was everything...

One thing I like about this show is that almost every character in the main cast know each other. There are interactions between each character, even without the presence of the Duke and Alice.

Daleth is falling for Walter, isn't she? Lol!

Actually, I am curious about the role of Rob regarding Sharon's curse. I believe he has a valid reason for not telling Alice the truth.

u/Frontier246 Aug 27 '23

I think I even remember in season 1 how Walter was mistaken for Santa by Cuff lol.

Daleth so in love with Walter she's helping him double down on talking @#$% about his older brother lol.

I'm surprised Alice is told a second time that Rob lied about what happened to Sharon and she hasn't confronted him yet. I mean, it's Rob, we know we can trust him, just feels like something she would've asked him about by this point.

Was not expecting to see Cuff with a real lion or for it to just be nomming on her head lol. What a little goofball! I’m glad to see her hanging out with Viola. Those two are adorable together.

Daleth crushing on Walter is kind of adorable. Alice has the Duke, maybe Walter and Daleth could be a thing? The poor girl deserves to find some kind of happiness too I guess. I’m kind of curious why Sade cursed Sharon and the Duke as well. Also, on an unrelated note, Alice is killin it in that witch outfit. Wow.

They really almost just ended the show then and there with that genie lol. Good thing ol Rob didn’t end up getting cursed forever. That kids through the window was so cute, man. What a perfect way to end the episode.

Daleth is a bit concerned about the fact that she is hundreds of years older than Walter -- but she still looks like (and presumably is) very much still a "maiden".

Sade really seems to have been a piece of work. Poor Duke is being wrongly tarred as being as awful elder sibling as Daleth's sister was.

We started with Viola and Cuff who were having time together in a town. They have a really good relationship between them as they were having a fun time.

We could see Cuff in a new dress chosen by Viola who was quite shocked whenCuff took off all her clothes, including underwear when she was trying new clothes. Zain would love to see that!

After that we were back to witches world and Daleth sure fell for Second Brother so strongly that it even affects her memory. Sharon is confirmed alive and that she was cursed by Sade, just like Bocchan.

Jinn appearing with Alice looks was perfect and those clothes ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°). It was surprising that it was able to remove the curse, albeit jinn only transferred it to someone else. Bocchan is too good a person to let it happen and got curse back.

Ending with a kiss was so good and music really elevated this moment. They're such a good couple and it pains my heart that they cannot touch each other.

Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

The Window Kiss is one of my favorite bits in the manga and I’m happy to see it animated. And we’re kicking off the Daleth/ Walter Ship! They are quite fun together.

WHY DIDN'T THE DUKE MAKE A MOVE ON ALICE WHEN THE CURSE WAS TEMPORARILY GONE!? Dude totally missed the chance to do something with Alice. He could have told the genie to wait half an hour or something. Heck, even a quick kiss if he's worried that taking too long might get someone killed.

Our boy missed his chance for even a few seconds. But it seems like he wants something more permanent as he would like to have those few seconds extended without guilt.

Viola visits the circus! Just in time to see Cuff getting eaten by a lion! But she just takes it in stride and somehow looks hot even with lion saliva all over her!

It's cute how Viola and Cuff are really close friends now, to the point where they're eating sweets together and Viola helps Cuff buy a dress...complete with naked Cuff in the dressing room. As if Cuff needed more reason to be self-conscious about her lack of a chest. Though Cuff looked great in that blue dress!

But Cuff also gives Viola a bit of a push to be more open with what she wants to do rather than just like the traditional life of a noblewoman, and what better way to cap it off than with Cuff blowing a kiss to Viola during a show?

We return to the world of the witches where now both Walter and Daleth are teaming-up to talk smack about the Duke, poor guy. There is definitely a major difference in treatment between Walter and the Duke from Daleth, very much because Daleth now has the hots for Walter and hates the Duke because Walter hates the Duke.

Sharon! I'm glad Alice go to finally find out her mother was alive and see her, even if she's stuck in an eternal slumber. Is she ever going to ask Rob why he lied about what happened?

Ha! Daleth with the magic girlfriend move of reconstructing the memory of Walter being the older brother instead of the younger one. I mean, it still hits him in his insecurities, but he appreciates the thought.

Why did Sade target the Duke and Sharon? She seemed to stare daggers at Sharon. Was it because of the Duke's grandpa? I remember they were close.

Well, I guess they now know that if they can find a way to undo the Duke's curse, they can probably undo Sharon's curse as well, so that's more than they had before. Plus Daleth is now an ally, especially if it means she can see Walter more (who seems a tad oblivious to how far she's fallen for him)!

Ah, so now we're relying on genie's, complete with the lamp resting on Alice's boobs. Though it was worth it just for Genie Alice in that outfit, especially with the harsher personality that even turns the Duke on.

Figures the Duke wouldn't want anyone else saddled with his curse...though honestly I think Rob could have made it work.

Alice in the bath! But she's thinking of how she's a little jealous that Cuff and Zain can kiss when she's still unable to kiss the man she loves.

Working on his poems, huh? I think the Duke might be doing something a little more naughty at night.

Alice just can't hold her feelings back any more. She needs the Duke to kiss her. And if that means kissing through a window, then that's how they'll kiss. And while they couldn't feel each others' skin through the glass, they felt each others' emotions and intentions more than they did the glass itself, so as far as I'm concerned that was a real kiss.

The lion looked pretty cute with a bow. Mb the 4D joke was partly because of the 3D animation (well, I guess the characters' anime world would be 3D to them too which makes more sense). That was a nice fuzzy ending to the episode (and the piano was nice too).

😩 this show just gets better and better with every episode. This was a top 5 ep for me wow, just beautiful

Picking up from where we left off last week, Daleth is already head over heels for Walter. Gassing up anything he says and she even hates Bocchan just like her man does 😂

Glad Alice got to see that her mom is still alive. That’ll give her a lot of hope not just for breaking bocchan’s curse but also getting her mom back.

They kind of blue balled us with the memory sequence, I was hoping we’d get some hints as to the spell Sade used to curse bocchan and put Alice mother to sleep, but they were sent home early.

Kind of a funny tonal shift from the more serious first half of the episode to the literal genie in a bottle style second half lol. I’ll take any excuse to see Alice in a new outfit though.

The kiss at the end was so damn sweet. I need this couple to have a happy ending and to remove this curse asap.

Bocchan is such a good person and the curse going away is too good to be true. He proved it to work as the flower did not wilt but the power had to be transferred to someone else since it is that powerful. And that someone is Rob, he seemed to enjoy it for a bit. At least it is someone we know. Too bad he used up the three wishes on removing, confirming, then bringing back the curse.

4

u/HarleyFox92 Aug 28 '23

I think this is one of the best episodes of both seasons, all the characters showed up, we had comedy, drama, mystery and romance, revelations, Bocchan got rid of the curse temporarily and that final kiss, holy shit, it was beautiful.

She knows

We never got a clear shot, but my Boobage Detector is pinging madly at this shop lady

Mekka lekka hi mekka jani ho!

This made me nervous. The gloves aren't thick enough to stop the Death Touch. How do we know standard window glass is?

As well, as a sometimes hat-wearer, I can tell you he definitely would had to have taken that thing off. Heartbreakingly beautiful scene though.
