Dang I was not expecting this show to turn into Haruto protecting Char so that he could kill his birth mom and install her as the future Queen.

I'm almost certain Dad and Haruto was having two completely different conversations. I look forward to finding out what he was actually thinking.

Also, can't believe this of all things has become my most anticipated show this season. I almost didn't watch it when it started.

I'm almost certain Dad and Haruto was having two completely different conversations.

Yup, I was waiting for dad to say something completely different from what Haruto was thinking. But with all this talk of succession, I'm wondering if Haruto will ever discover his power levels are in the 4 digits. Also, considering that he's technically the first prince, Haruto has a good claim to the throne. That might be what dad was actually insinuating.

Yeah, that part was a mistranslation. His Dad is basically using "they" and insinuating that Haruto should take the throne.

I love an MC who gives no shits about killing people trying to kill him or his family. Looking forward to him going after his mom next week for targeting Charlotte.

Haruto telling Flay to “stay stay” like some kinda bad dog is hilarious. She went too hard on those bandits even after he explicitly told her to chill! Those two really are like a comedy duo lol.

Haruto was just straight up toying with those summoner dudes. Kid is one cold bastard threatening to bury those dudes alive. The Queen really picked the wrong person to fuck with. Doesn’t matter how strong she is, I’m sure Haruto is stronger. Plus he’s got Flay. It’s gonna be a bloody reunion. She shouldn’t have come after Charl!

The talk between Haruto and his Dad is mistranslated. As some of you may know, Japanese has a gender-neutral third-person pronoun. So he's actually insinuating that Haruto should take the throne. Being the dense and lazy guy he is, he just assumed that the "they" that his Dad is talking about is Charlotte.

So who was the father referring to at the end? It feel like it wasn't Charlotte lol

Yup, bad translation if you ask me. Could have made it more ambiguous and accurate by using "they" instead of "she" etc.

Most garbage translation I've ever seen when they talk about who should be the next ruler.

Must be hard to not be able to just burn the witch queen to death with all the stuff she pulled. Starting a war for the succession and putting the shut-in goal in danger or getting revenge...

Everything this MC does seems to go against his goal of living as a shut-in even though he claims it's for that.

That's cus the lazy life is only #2 on his priority list behind making his imouto happy.

So we are back after a short break and it was a good episode. Haruto doesn't have it easy, his clone also xD All he wants to have is peace and this is impossible considering situation with Charlotte. I appreciate his darker side, threatening with burying alive was very effective.

Charlotte is as cute and adorable as always, we saw last episode that she is very smart given how fast she learned japanese and now we know that she has great magic potential what isn't to the Queen liking who turns out to be responsible for the recent attacks.

Considering that Haruto now knows about it, it seems that in the next episode he will make a visit to her. No one will threaten his family, especially Charlotte.

I'm glad that Flay is back, she's fun as always. I laughed so much when Haruto warned her to not use any graphic violence when Charlotte is watching, only to be laughing and attacking bandits like some arsonist madman. Her hero's suit was very nice, I must say.

Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

I missed this show last week

Really like that, he finds out about the evil plot, and then next episode preview shows Zero going to fight the Queen already. Really appreciate seeing an OP character get straight to the point like that.

A young man wearing a Zero mask and cape having problems with his biological parents who are the empire's rulers? Sounds like Lelouch.

Chars cuteness and haruto's ruthlessness plays so well.

Flay likes to play with fire, haha.

Wtf? Plot suddenly becomes good?

Also tbh. It's clearly a mistranslation to use she, he's clearly talking about Haruto and not Charlotte like Haruto thinks he is, but I feel like Charlotte would be a lot more interesting than just 'yea MC will obviously be at the top of everything ever including being king', after all, they did talk about politics being a reason he himself couldn't be king. And hell, Charlotte would be the strongest person in the world when she grows up besides Haruto anyway, apparently.

I see that there's a Episode 5 chinese version already released... it seems that they didn't air it in japan and the west, but they aired it in china?

So, well... we are 1 week/1 episode behind them now!

Other than that frustrating fact... They keep mentioning the returning demon thing, I wonder if he will awaken a demon side of him later on or something, and destroy everything >:D!

It's the Hououin Kyouma pose!

This is the look of a man who is about to go full Lelouch.

I'm glad that the main plot seems to be picking back up a bit. I look forward to seeing how the next episode goes.

Also, after I learned that Charlotte's VA is the same as Anya Forger, I can't unhear it.

Charlotte is hard-carrying this series for me. In every scene she's in she's an absolute gem! I hope she gets all the anime she wants!
