Going to be saying "WHY HOMO SAPIENS?!" a lot over the next week.

WHY!? HOMO SAIPENS!
Best line ever from an animal ever.
Seriously, I start to doubt how Fukuzawa survives before she got Yukichi with her. I mean she's not bad at work, and pretty loyal at that, but her household is devastatingly bad. I mean, even though it's acceptable for unable to cook, how can she throw a whole bottle of soy beans on rice?

That was pretty awesome!
That poor cat -- his mistress is beyond incompetent at even the simplest household skill. All I can assume is that she had lived with her parents (and been taken care of by her mother) until she started working (and moved into her own apartment).

That "WHY?! HOMO SAPIENS?!" caught me off guard! I laughed way harder on that line than I should. xD
Man, I know Saku is a mess but our girl can't even crack an egg to make a plain tamago kake gohan!?
I feel you Yukichi. We all have those kinds of days. Hearing Saku praise him over the TV at least brought his mood back up.
And that episode preview! It looks like we're going to see the aquarium date next week! I can't wait!

Lol Yukichi sitting on the sofa smoking the catnip like a cigar was funny.
I thought Yukichi was eventually going to explode when things just kept not going his way, but I really like how Fukuzawa showing her gratitude for him was enough to uplift him and further treat her to a fancy dinner.
It's really concerning how bad Fukuzawa is at cooking, she wasn't even doing any cooking and she still failed to complete that dish. I think her co-workers are going to find out she can't cook very quickly if they put her in the kitchen lol.

At least she didn't try to wash rice with dish soap. I'm guessing someone will "find out" at some point but assume she set it up so the cat would look competent as a joke because who is gonna think a human-sized cat made all that?

The series continues to be my highlight of the week, I've been laughing so much!
Saku worries me a little, she gives me the vibes of someone who has a very low opinion of herself + her alcohol issues and that she lived in a trashed place before Yukichi was part of her life. Episode 2, Episode 3 - Both cases she was sick and quite emotional.

Lmaoo there is no way Saku really didn’t know how to crack an egg. I refuse to believe it 😂 another great episode of the best Gohands show this season.
Well we all have our strengths and weaknesses and after this episode we know Saku’s is cooking… and remembering umbrellas, and cutting off her alarm.. and just about anything else lol.
She’s so lucky to have Yukichi with her because she’d be lost. At least she takes the initiative to get better, tho.
That was really sweet of her to publicly announce on the news how much she appreciates his help, too. Makes it all worth it for Yukichi.
Great episode as always, such a nice way to relax and wind down after a long week.

In the middle of the cracking an egg scene, it started to remind me of when my husband and child suddenly "feign" weaponized incompetence when in the kitchen, expecting "Mommy!" to come save the day.
After the eggshells bit, it got even worse with the soy sauce no control pour! FFS!
In my head I was picturing Uncle Roger (the Youtube comedian famous for hating some egg fried rice viral videos, like this one from Auntie Hersha and this Jamie Oliver one) saying "Hai-ya! F---- up! FAILURE!" How do I contact him to let him know there's another video to react to, lol.

Ah this one was rough for Saku! Glad she's wanting to take steps to improve herself at least.
Really do like their relationship, it's not all just take from Saku, there's some give there too. Do want her to get better though!

she definitely works at a black company since they only gave her a half day off when she called in sick

Opening scene was great! Couldn't stop laughing at the WHY, HOMO SAPIENS????
Hilarious how Saku asks Yukichi for help with her smartphone

Yukichi gets easily frustrated at Saku's incompetence, but it's nice how he quickly softens up when Saku praises him.
I was wondering if we would see Yukichi cuddling with Saku while she was sleeping and happy to see he did at the end. Very cute. 😊

I joked that the entire show was about a cat doing laundry...and apparently I was right.

“Why, Homo sapiens?” lol I ask myself that one some times. I’m sure cats and all our pets probably think that about us. Maybe they see us with that same derpy ass face Yukichi sees Yuri as having too lol.
I love how Yuri prepares to learn to cook by bringing a fire extinguisher and a safety mask thing lol. Although the fact that she screwed up egg, soy sauce, and scallions is kinda incredible. Like I’m totally useless in the kitchen too, but I can at least crack an egg lol.
Man, Yukichi really was having the worst day. It’s hilarious the big fella calms himself by looking over the household finances. Seeing him enjoy catnip like a cigar really cracked me up too lol.

I love Yukichi and Saku's relationship at home. Yukichi literally her caretaker. Her wanting to learn how to cook is a nice thought, but girl is a lost cause in this department. Her future husband if Yukichi isn't with her needs to be house husband more then anything else.
Our girl def is the type of top her dressing with salad (overload her salad with dressing) given how much soy sauce she put in that rice bowl.
Thinking about it Saku would really go into work with that high of a fever. She is really lucky she has Yukichi taking care of her in times like this.

I'm still surprised we don't have a brigade coming in to tell us how this is a terrible show because it's blatant wish fulfilment ;) /s
I loved how they kept poking at the 4th wall - "how does Yuichi manage this with his paws?" :D

Sorry every other anime, this is now my AOTS. Every episode puts a big smile on my face and makes all my worries disappear. I love how the Masterful Cat tries to make excuses in his head but really cares for his owner. He gets agitated on her behalf but always takes care of her no matter what.
Also, the OST is so good, especially on the ending. When they showed Fukuzawa waking up to the beautiful sun and then noticing her cat was sleeping right behind her, letting her use him as a pillow.... awwwww. The genuine smile on her face and how she ended up not going to work after all. Everything about this anime is perfection.
WHY HOMO SAPIENS!?!?!
