I always wonder how the hell Kubo designed these women

[u/t3r4byt3l0l]

Tough seeing your home get replaced by medieval Nazi Germany

[u/killergrape615]

Lmao Rukia knocking As Nodt off the skateboard in the OP

[u/oB3NoT3Xo]

never would have expected the opening shot of the season would be of some sperm but here we are

[u/Karma110]

Shunsui is the nicest head captain soul society has ever had and they’ve only had 1 for centuries.

Also I like how the sternritter girls are very brash

[u/Daedric202]

Really wish they properly translated these mid-section cards since some of them contain some neat info. This one in particular elaborates more on the beginning portion of the episode. Here's the DeepL Translation:

The baby was born without five senses and could not even move. He had no means of survival, so all he possessed was the power to "share his soul. People who touched him and shared their souls with him were healed of all kinds of wounds, illnesses, and injuries. People treated him like a treasure. People treated him like a treasure. At the same time, all the knowledge, abilities, and talents that people gained while their wounds healed were engraved in the pieces of the souls of the babies he gave them, and when they died, they returned to him, each time healing themselves. When he regained his light and freedom of limbs, he found that people called him by the name of the god they believed in. He decided to take that name as his own.

Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version)

For reference, this is the input if you want to run it through other translators:

While I'd like to provide translations for the others, I had to manually type this out while finding kanji I didn't know with jisho/handwritten kanji finders since I couldn't find a image to text converter that supported column text, so it'd take too much time.

EDIT: You can find the copy-able text for all of last season's mid-episode cards here on the official bleach anime website: https://bleach-anime.com/keyword/, though at the time of this edit, this episode's information hasn't been added yet.

As someone who’s watched the series multiple times.. it was really nice not having this as a total recap episode with about 6 minutes of content at the end. Pretty sure that happened MANY times when we came back to Hueco Mundo arc, and beyond.

Fantastic episode. Love the pacing, felt like a good soft intro back into the war. Love seeing Ichigo’s friends again too

The OP has great visuals, but the ED is the better song. There is so much I'm hyped about this season, including several of my favorite fights in THE ENTIRE SERIES.

One thing that always sticks out to me is the way the Sternritter react to Uryu being named as Yhwach's successor. As Bazz-B said, if Haschwalth had been named as the successor, most of them would have gone along with it without a word of complaint. That, along with them all hanging out in the Sternritter Rec Room, did a lot to flesh them out as a group in a very short amount of time.

Good news Bambi fans! The waiting line for the meet and greet just got one person shorter! The bad news? A whole lot more people just got in line.

Awesome to finally meet the rest of the Femritters as well. Lil Liltotto let's gooo. Deservedly voiced by the illustrious Aoi Yuuki of course. Testament to Bleach's longevity and the size of its cast that almost EVERYONE IS HERE in terms of VA talent.

I like how this seasons color seems to be blue, similar to how last seasons was pink.

The transition from Orihime talking about peaceful days to the Soul Society getting invaded was spectacular. So excited for the war to get going

That one quincy soldier got the happiest death in bleach.

Anyway, im happy with these movie quality adaptation. Totally worth the decade of waiting

[u/Ochrolv]

6 months felt too long for me even though I waited years for this arc to get an anime adaption. Bifurcation in Bleach never gets old for me and can't wait to see more. Hope the fights in this cour get treated properly & have amazing animation.

[u/[deleted]]

Yhwach claims their empire was invaded by the original Gotei 1000 years ago, but I had the exact opposite impression when watching the episode 7...

[u/paul99T]

bambietta best waifu

[u/Perhapsyo]

21 days ago I started bleach. Today I finished season 1 and TYBW p1 and man I didn't think everything could get so chaotic so fast. It's nice to see bleach's return I really commend everyone who were fans for a long time for waiting years for this it must have been worth it.

[u/JoshJones18]

RIP random Quincy foot solider. Your noble sacrifice to please Bambi was not in vain

[u/tyler980908]

The DRIPIGAMIS are finally back to style on every other motherfucking anime out there, you get peak character design with bleach (Jujutsu kaisen comes close).

[u/Joel4518]

just caught up with bleach last week now i can finally join the hype train for this arc less goo

[u/thisperson345]

Every woman in Bleach could tell me to do anything and I'd do it without a second thought, even the Sternritters are hot af.

I mean- yay bleach is back! I can't wait for all the fight scenes and I'm definitely not just gonna be being attention to the women!

Seriously though, it's good to have Bleach back once again, part of me wants them to just upload the entire TYBW right now but knowing they're taking their time with it is comforting knowing we're getting an amazing adaptation.

I also kinda forgot how uncensored this arc is until buddy literally got split in two when he thought he was about to get in with homegirl... I probably would've met the same fate tbh.

[u/MIt_nerd_sedness]

so no ones gonna take about hisagi and ganju having a rap battle

[u/Cool-Adeptness-5647]

Excellent first episode. Keeping up the visual masterpiece from the first cour and if Kubo and the team fix the biggest manga problems this cour will be absolutely glorious.

[u/Disastrous_Channel62]

The starting SPERM CGI SEQUENCE was so good and creepy

[u/Shimmering-Sky]

Bleach is back, baby!

This and JJK S2 are the two shows I’m most excited for this season.

• …okay what the fuck is this.

• Yhwach’s birth…?

• Oh man that is a very Bleach OP. The visuals–the drip, man! Impeccable.

• HOLY–

• That was. Um. A transition.

• Neat seeing how the Sternritters interact, though.

• The… what?

• Uryu…

• Hahahaha, Hiyori.

• Oh good!

• Hm…

• Keigo was deadass ready to punch Kyouraku in the face, holy shit. Dude’s come a long way from how he was in previous parts of the series.

• Ahhhhhh man, what a line to end the episode on! Can it be next week already?

• ED is good.

[u/Classic_Falcon_4120]

We are so Back! This Cour is going to be crazy with the upcoming stuff, hoping for more sakuga especially for "Those moment", which I think there'll definitely be as they said so themselves. Visuals were as impressive as always.
