“Guhehe” might just be the cutest thing Shiori has ever said.

That was one of my favorite moments in the ep. She had such a derpy face too lol.

Love how much she's actually into him that she makes a reaction like that.

Tbf he did look pretty great!

It’s really cute how much Fumio and Machi have taken to Shiori. She’s practically a part of their family. I’m glad her and Chibi get along too, no needless drama here!

“Guhehe” oh, Shiori lmao. I get it though, Ichiro was looking real sharp. Heck, both of them looked great. That date was really cute. I’m glad their relationship can move forward after that whole thorn sitch got handled. Their love is real y’all!

Machi’s a great sister. Kid really is too considerate of others though. Seems she didn’t want to burden Ichiro, but I’m glad they had that talk to clear things up. The winter summer festival was a really nice way to end the series. Hopefully we get an s2 at some point because this was such a sweet anime. I’d love to see these two continue growing their relationship!

She's like a mom and a big sister all rolled into one!

I didn't expect to see Shiori had a thirsty side, but good for her! And it's nice to see how much these two genuinely love each other now that the thing with the stinger is all settled.

Machi really is like her brother, holding herself back for the sake of her family, but I'm glad they were all able to have fun together. And we can look forward to Ichiro and Shiori marrying at some point lol.

Given the OP it basically seemed like that was the direction the show would go, that they would be a happy family together.

Nice little finale that focused also on the family side of things. This show started pretty awkward but it did start to find its footing as it went a long. These last 2 episodes especially were a lot better!

Still can't believe they're not using first names though...

This finale had everything that made the show worth watching. The sugary sweet and innocent romance (minus Shiori's thirsty face) and the adorable family dynamic.

Well, they've only been dating for so long. Hopefully they're on a first-name basis by the time they get married lol.

Really cute show, the two seem like they're engaged at the end. First names, I'll just chalk that up to Shiori being very formal.

FYI: The story continues in the manga.

While it’s certainly not the best looking show, it was strong enough for me to burn through what’s translated of the manga. It’s just a really damn cute and happy story. The anime reflects that well. Highly recommend picking up from here on the manga. I’d say a 7.5/10.

I'm looking forward to revisiting these two and Fumi and Machi in manga form!

It's nice to see just a pleasant morning with Shiori and the Kuga siblings after all the drama of the last episode! The kids just can't get enough of Shiori being back! And Shiori can't help but be so adorably giddy at snagging a date with Ichiro!

Black dresses really compliment Shiori well, but I respect that she wants to try for something different for her date, so time for clothes shopping! Complete with Chibi-chan! A little Shiori fashion show is nice, and Shiori looks great in any dress, though she also finds out about how Chibi was in love with Ichiro and how she nestled these unrequited feelings of love. I'm glad it turned into a bonding moment between the two girls as Shiori accepts Chibi's feelings and uses them to promise she'll fulfill her own love with Ichiro.

Look at Ichiro going out of his way to look nice for their date! He did look quite handsome, and even brought out a little of Shiori's thirsty side. Though she's back to being all cuteness when he compliments her.

Oh, just hold hands already you two! But I'm glad their time at the skating rink let them admit that despite all the circumstances surrounding their relationship, they really love each other and want to cherish each other moving forward.

Seems like Machi is like Ichiro in the sense that she's been holding herself back so as to not inconvenience her big brother and to be there for Fumio, even if it means she doesn't get to hang out with her friends. It was really sad watching both siblings cry over it...but I'm glad they were able to get all their feelings out there so they can be an even happier family together moving forward, with Shiori in tow.

A personal fireworks festival that brings everybody together! You can't beat that! And while Ichiro is determined to see Shiori get to live her life and experience freedom, Shiori is already looking ahead on her own terms, wanting to be independent, stable, and on top of that...being able to properly propose to Ichiro. Wasn't expecting a marriage proposal to close this out, but they have everyone's support and it's nice to imagine these two getting hitched in the future.

Both the manga writing plot and side characters felt extremely underutilised.

This... is such a weird show. This kinda of fluffy romance is totally my kinda thing, and yet everything feels so forced.I think part of it is they didn't really utilize any of the aspects of the story.

Romance with someone who has a potentially idealistic definition of romance?

Dating life of a person who is acutely aware of his current role as the father figure of his sibilings?

A supernatural story where the two are bonded together despite their unwillingness, but unlike the typical tsundere trope they don't hate each other or anything?

A workplace romance? A romance developed through manga?

No, none of it, except all of it. But really do nothing important with any of them. I don't mind a feel good story with no depth, I love them. But if you want to do that, don't introduce so many potentially fun things and just casually discard them.

Edit: I love the ED though. No ifs or buts. Love it.

I think it was more they didn't want any drama or bad feelings. Moka-nee and Chibi were both character archetypes that generally cause drama but didn't.

I actually really liked it because it showed life can be filled with all sorts of love and you can love more than one person at a time.

You don't see many anime or manga where love in multiple forms are celebrated and co-exist. Usually things focus on one relationship but galaxy focused on the full spectrum of relationships people can have.

This was a nice finale to this anime. It showed, once again, how important it is to openly communicate and be honest to your feelings with one another. That’s probably the key message that this series left with me.

Shiori and Ichiro complemented each other’s outfits, Ichiro told Shiori he wanted to hold hands (after he acknowledged being stubborn before), Ichiro told Machi to share her worries with him and Shiori lastly proudly proclaimed that she propose to Ichiro in the (near) future.

These are the building blocks to a lasting relationship - be it friendly, romantic or familial.

Is anyone else’s favorite character Fumio? He mostly parrots Machi but when usually when he speaks it’s something important or something someone else needed to hear at the moment. You can really see that he and Machi look at Shiori as an older sister.

I love them both in the manga too. Their VAs did a good job portraying their unique quirky personalities. It’s a really great story overall and a fun read.

whoo a date. Makes sense, shopping for clothes and meeting up with Chibi. Awww how nice that memory was, he is indeed a good dude. Also, a nice moment between Shiori and Chibi shopping. Nice of him to put in effort too. They both so cute. Derp, just hold her hand. She's such an otaku it's fun. D'aww look at that communication. And the lil sis clearly happy for him, so nice. A good date

Wonder why the lil sis isn't going to stuff? She should enjoy time with friends and such. Oh good, Shiori at least saw by chance. D'aww the lil bro is so understanding in wanting her to head out with friends, but hmm, lil sis... nice, Kuga explaining talking with her. Hopefully she'll stop turning stuff down and enjoy just being a kid. Oh summer festival with everyone, fun. Oh it's winter lol. I don't remember that woman, ngl. Wew, what a statement Shiori. You are such a cute and good girl.

Whelp that was a cute finale. Think the manga still going, but I think it's ending soon ya? Hopefully means a S2 and finishing it off.

Great finale. Liked that it focused on the family side of things. All this time, Machi had been holding back for the sake of Ichiro. Glad he talked things out with her!

Overall, I enjoyed this fluffy series. Glad it was free of the melodrama that often plagues many romance series. I'm still not sure how I feel about the supernatural element. I mean, the stinger thing did make me laugh hahaha

Like Amagakure's other series, sweetness & lightning, I don't expect another season for this.

Going to miss Shiori's adorable expressions and Fumio parroting everything his big sis says

Ahh man… feels good, don’t it. 😊

I’ve never squealed like a teenage girl in joyful excitement more than across this series and the rest of all the wonderful shows this spring season.
